ok, thanks for that my first question is - how to get CellID parameter? seems like fieldtest does not provide this useful piece of information.
You are right this is a shortcoming. It gives only the BCCH (GSM) or the Scrambling Code for UMTS

do you have any idea if this shortcoming would be fixed in future releases?
I doubt it. Fieldtest is a utility for HTC engineers to test the phone and not the network. As you know it was not released with the ROM'S. but who knows

but it could be possible by quering AT+CREG? command to device's internal GSM/UMTS modem. but so far, i don't know under which port is it located. COM1-COM9 does not work...

The PIN you are reffering too is for securing the handset.

That would be the PIN in the Blackberry Connect Software.
As mentioned here, no. You can't change it.

i have the same issue, i need to change my imei... anyone hint us in right direction, or give us a prog name to search for. mine is htc trinity, (orange spv m700)
As far as I'm aware changing IMEI numbers is illegal pretty much world wide, SuperCID and what not are fine as they don't interfere with the phones IMEI but actually changing it can land you in pretty serious trouble.

My diploma work is about radiowave propagation in GSM 900 systems. Now I must do a network monitoring! I have a Nokia N73 with Symbian9.1 unlocked. I found a program called FieldTest for my nokia and a program called CellTrack9.1. The second one gives me not enough info. FieldTest is little bit difficult for me. I need help to understand all the parameters which I can see. I tried to find a manual for it, but couldn't.
So Please give me advices to perform NetMonitoring. If it will help, I can provide you with screenshots and other info.
Thanks in advance!
