Hi guys...how can i set up my hotmail accounts? i have a live.it account already set up through windows live messenger, but i have another one hotmail.it which i am not able to set up properly...it doesn't work...what can i do?

somehow I cannot complete the process to add another mail account
Ive added gmail, now I wanted to add my school email account but it will not go any further then step 4/5, no matter what I try. I am not connected to the internet, which supposedly is good (the help file says so)
anyone run into this problem?
I have two pop accounts installed on my Jam, works no prob. there is a page when configuring the accounts the has Account information account type POP3 and by default has Name as POP3...have you been changing the names? because it will probably cause a problem having two accounts named POP3. I call my account Yahoo and Uni mail and have never had a problem.

I ve tried the gmail account, unfortunatelly it wont worked on my MDA, I dont really know about the configuration. So anybody can help me with this?

On the today screen it has a bit which tells me if i have any unread email...is it possible to set up more that 1 account??...im using hotmal on there at the moment but could i use another web-based account aswell??

I have 3 POP accounts on my XDA, I've only got it displaying info about whichever one I last used on the front page though. No doubt it could probably be done so you can see info on multiple accounts on the today page via a tweak/ hack though.
How did you set your accounts up on your xda??...i dont even know how i got my hotmail account on there :?

If you've ever signed into MSN messenger on your PDA then that's how. The Message app takes the email address and password you entered to sign into MSN to grab your Hotmail.
Thats how my hotmail account got there then...how do i add others??...im completely new to this.
I'd like to know if I can add another hotmail account alongside the one that is automatically configured by Pocket MSN.
Is this possible?

I guess u can if u go through the manual set up process, and not the msn one. I have set up a few (e.g dial up,yahoo, hotmail) so more than 1 hotmail should be possible
I have multiple hotmail accounts in Pocket outlook, but I use izymail to access them as pop accounts. It cost $20/yr or something like that. Pretty reliable service but I'm sure there are others that are probably cheaper. I've been using izymail for approx 2 yrs with no major issues.
You can switch hotmail acounts, it has "Switch User" option in Pocket MSN
I managed to get 2 hotmail set up on mine though it weas by accident and I was trying to get rid of the other one. I set up my 1st account in msn. installed windows live messenger beta, then set up the second account in that. in outlook I ended up with 1 account labelled hotmail and another labelled windows live. both worked.

I did mine through Windows Live and it sets it up the hotmail in your messaging.

That's what I recommend too.
To add to this, if you looking to sync your Hotmail in the "Outlook" account that shows in the list of email accounts, that is for syncing with an Exchange Server email account.
I have been trying to set up the hotmail account.
I've tried a couple of times and eventually got an account set up. Then trying it last night, it just decided that it didn't want to connect.
So i tried to delete the old one but it wont let me as its greyed out.
So i created a new one, hoping that the old one will become active and allow me to delete the old one.
Now when i go into the account settings, my yahoo accounts are active and can be deleted, but the 2 hotmail account, one account called hotmai the new one called hotmail.com are just greyed out.
What can i do to make the hotmail account active so that i can delete it?
i am having the same problem too.
I have used an workaround (first create hotmai then edit to hotmail) to add 2 hotmail acco
unts on the device, but there is no way to remove it.
I take it that no one has come across this problem before?
or have i put this is the wrong place?

+1. Sod it +100!
Windows live allows you to set up 1 hotmail account with minimal effort and also gives you push email ability. Unless you want multiple hotmail accounts then you shouldn't be doing it any other way.

thats fine, but what would a person do if they already have 2 hotmail accounts and the accounts are greyed out so that deleting them normally isn't an option?? Any suggestions?
i had same problem. rebooted phone and windows live logon screen came straight up. entered password and mail updated.
Still cant delet the hotmail account though...still greyed out
