Hold in the on/off button and press the stylus into the reset hole at the same time and you have a hard reset...if that doesn't work...send it back.

Stuck on WM Splash Screen

This is the second time, and second device that this has happened on. My device froze and then when I did a soft reset it won't go past the green WM6 splash screen (memory card is removed). The green light still flashes and the screen goes black after a while, but nothing is ever displayed.
Please any help would be greatly appreciated.
My apologies seeing as I'm still a newb. All that was required was a hard reset; press and hold both action buttons while pressing the pen into the soft reset button.
After reinstalling WM6 I am able to use my Titan again (although all my personal data since my last back-up was lost).
Try to hard reset your device.
Press the left and right soft key, then punch the reset hole with ur stylus. Hold the two buttons until the screen displays some thing, follow the instruction on it.

Soft reset - Phone on or off?

Noob-question but shall the phone be on or off when u do the soft reset ? I mean, it feels like it should be off but then it is actually not a reset but a turn on and then turn off ?
Thanks!
Soft reset is basically 'restart' or 'reboot'. Turn off and on again?
Since the phone isn't actually 'off' in standby mode (what you get when you normally press the power button) it makes no difference - you're turning it fully off/back on when it's turned on on either way.
From a practical point of view it's best to soft reset from an application (search, there are a few around) to save you having to take the batter cover off and put it back on each time.

Screen went black, for good

Been a while since I have been on here. I miss my Wing so I decided to reach out to you guys and maybe you guys have a solution. Last year while I was still using this phone, my screen would flicker white once in a while, then that progressed into only turning on when I slid open the LCD screen slightly. Meaning that when it was closed, it was black, couldn't use the touch screen, I would have to slide it open to use it or I would have to slide it partially to use it while it's semi-closed. Then finally one day the screen just went black and doesn't work anymore. I know the phone still works fine because I see the keys light up and I feel the phone vibrating. I took it apart thinking maybe the band of the screen was loose or cut, but it was perfectly fine, I even took off the band and put it back on to see if it would make a difference, still no difference. What do you think it can be?
try a hard reset:
press both soft keys and while press the soft keys press the soft reset key by ur stylus for about 3-5 seconds and then release the soft reset key still pressing the soft keys. when u release the soft reset key some instructions will appear to format the phone mem. remember to make a backup of all important data before proceeding.
if this doesnt work then try updating ur ROM ... i find flashing my herald with flashcenter to be the easiest way. you can find the HOW TO here on xda forum

Thanks for the reply, I tried a hard reset but it definitely is a hardware problem

(Left vs. Right) Hard reset observation

I was having sporadic success when getting frozen in AROMA holding power + vol dn to reboot the phone.
Lo and behold I noticed (this behavior is repeatable) that if I hold the phone with the screen facing to the right side, it will reboot. Holding it facing leftward and it won't reboot. Very odd, and I am curious if it is like this for others as it is a handy tip if you don't have access to a PC and ADB to kick it back into the bootloader.
probably because your covering the light sensor. if the light sensor doesnt read any light it wont restart because it thinks its in a pocket or bag. its designed not to hard reboot or enter bootloader in your pocket
