Since many people come to this thread for general questions (some problems are just nor R1 related) my suggestion, first of is to:

To Give udk a hand with Bug list I decided to open this thread.
I'll Try to keep an updated list of bugs and Fixes on the first page so that people don't post the sabe bugs repeatedly.
I'll also try to acknowledge the right people for their input on this forum but, some time, it is difficult to know who the first person to find a fix was.
Main thing is: we're all trying to help, right?

Known bugs
01: Videos won't play in Album (As Stated on R1's first post)
02: When hitting the power button on the device the screen shows up then it turns off again

07:Make sure you have the latest Radio (1.59.42.23)
06:Hard Reset should fix it (By KoDaemons)
Tricks/Workarounds
02: Press the power button a second time (not really a permanent fix/ by dusty_nz) or <start->setting->system->power->backlight.....unselect"Dim the backlight.....> (pending confirmation for status upgrade / by gf8201)
04: hold your finger on the image it clears up (not really a fix/By mradaml) or use fingergestures and you don't even get the problem at all
06:If hard reset doesn't fix it: Try deleting the TXT right after sending it / clear the outgoing box (by mradaml)
What if... (try and see if it works for you)
xx: Having camera, phone or gps related problems: maybe you do not have the latest radio (1.59.42.23)

Fix Major Problems after Flash​
!!!IMPORTANT!!! - Follow these steps in order (post#187)
​1nd: Flash Radio 1.59.42.23
Fixes:
-Sluggishness
-temporary frezes
-(others)
2st: Hard Reset after flashing the rom
Fixes:
-SMS problems;
-(others)
3rd: run advance configuration 3.3 (Thanks to schaps for the App) (Read post # 177)
-Choosing "Recomended" will solve most problems
-In doubt, run a search on the forum with <option name>, "Advanced configuration" and "Polaris" (should get an answer)
Note: For some reason, sometimes, performing a Hard Reset after Flashing a Rom/Radio will solve some problems. It doesn't hurt and it takes about 10 secs
Q: How do I Hard Reset? => Press simultaneously messenger and internet hardware buttons (the 2 lower front buttons on polaris) and, wile holding them, press and release the reset button on the bottom of your device with your stylus.

I have been using the R1 for the past 2 hours or so...
Apart from the mentioned issues by udK... I have not experienced anything major except for the occational freeze of the device (non-responsive). after a few seconds its back to normal.
Frankly, I have experienced this issue on all the ROMs that were using the 3D drivers.

Sometime the clock showed instead of the battery in the today's top bar.
You should press enlarge icon or Start->Today to redisplay the battery icon.
Anydoby has the same experience?

Few bugs
1: When hitting the power button on the device I quickly see the screen then it turns off again. Seems to work the second time. This is intermittent. might be hardware.
2: When on the "All people" screen the "r" key on the htc keyboard dials the currently selected contact. the "R" does not. Always reproducible.
3: "All programs" link on programs is intermittent. Seems to have stopped working

yeah me too and already have this in R0
2. Scroll isn't working good in contact and in youtube to. works better with stylus

This occurs on all roms with the 3d driver. Syrius R0, Touch it m3d, opal

Which 3d driver? From what i have been told the 3d driver wasnt included in udks rom...

it's only software rendering, no hardware: dll from HTC.

I had the same issue with the Official WM6.0 and with WM 6.1 UDK r7.. so i think it's a WM issue...

1Don't have the first problem.
2Second, haven't test that one.
3Got that too, all programs doesn't work after one use.
It's a nice ROM overall, especially with a lot of bugs fixed!

this r1 is slower(some times it freezes) that the r0 but keep the good work udk

Have experienced the same behaviour!
And I also have the "r" bug in All People.

Found a small bug. When i download something in opera and i press the save button in the donwload pop up thingy. The phone goes to the today screen. I have to go back to opera and then click the download destination etc. It all works but i think it is not supposed to happen this way.
As i said it is just a small bug.
Other than this i haven't found anything new. It's an amazing rom. Really responsive and a pleasure to use.

My HTC E100 don't work with this rom. This is needfull for me.

Seems HTC E100 is not working on all manilla 2 ROM's. I hope somebody finds a solution for this since this makes the wired remote useless.
But I found a BIG problem. TomTom 6 is not running on this ROM. I have not seen this problem in any ROM before.

white square on person Tab

Hi all,
I use a "Topaz with Duttys Holy Grail R6 Ger rom" and I have one Problem( I also had this with other roms) In the Person tab with my favourite contacts, the small icon in the right lower corner isn't displayed. All the time, there is only a white square (this happens with the contactcard when I chose a number to dial, it works and shows the right icon). After a softreset it works for one time but when I change the Tab and go back it happens again. Someone knows a solution ??

I don't have a solution but i have the exact same issue. I hope someone comes up with a solution. I am using dutty's HG R6 NLD ROM.

do you have some manilla mods installed which can maybe cause the problem? just a thought

I flashed new and it is right from the start

sounds strange! did you HR the device after flashing?
one more thing do you use PIM backup for restore maybe it is causing issue?

I had the same problem. I found that if you keep the first person blank, then this problem doesnt seem to occur

Same for me..try to change this value:
HKCU\Software\HTC\Manila
PeopleGianceView_FocusVersion-->1 (DWORD)

This issue of the white icon occurs also on tab music(playback buttons) tab home(alarm button) and tab twitter(new tweet-->gps icon).
With and without manila mods installed.

Calendar/Tasks/Alarm popups disappeared??

I have looked around the whole of the HD2 forums for a solution and I have come empty handed. I have found forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=537878 Remove HTC Notificaion Manager and forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=632170&highlight=lost+popup+notifications How to disable HTC notifications screen but there doesn't seem to be anything in there to help, or that at least explains why this has happened. My problem is that I have lost the Popups to dismiss/snooze calendar events as well as the Alarm Clock.
I do not have a cooked Rom, I do however have Cookie's Hometab, BsB Tweaks, gfreek's Brians's icons and several other little mods. Everything was working fine until I am not sure when
I noticed a few days ago that the popups no longer appear with a Locked phone. When the Alarm goes off in the morning, I have to unlock the phone, tap the taskbar, get into the HTC Notifications screen, click on the Notification and finally Dismiss... It's a little bit of a longwinded way of doing things when the popups where so handy. No need to unlock anything either for Calendar tasks/reminders nor for the alarm clock.
Needless to say when I wake up in the morning the last thing I want to do is fiddle with tapping things... I want to wake up without swearing
One way around the Alarm Clock is G-Alarm, but I would rather not have to resort to that. There still remains the problem of my many tasks and reminders!!!
Are any of the Tweaks/Mods/Hacks responsible for the popups' disappearance?
I would LOVE for my popups to come back. As a last resort I will Hard Reset the phone, but as a lot of you will agree, it's a bit of an inconvenience since we all spend so much time making the phone our own.
BTW: I uninstalled BsB Tweaks (one of the last things I installed) to check if the popups would come back, no joy.

Same problem on my touch pro2
I found it on settings/menu/all settings/sound&messages/messages(tab)...A bit anoying that HTC hides those settings. Even the HTC support could not help me with this problem...

Photo Album not working

I hope someone might be able to shed some light on my problem. I have just purchased the HD2 (awesome phone), and am loving tweaking little bits. I have around 1000 pictures on the sd card, and the standard 9 htc photos on the phone. But when i use the slider at the bottom to the photo and videos tab, there is nothing there, however when i check in the photos file using Resco, i can see all the photos there, (does that make sense??)..lol... Very confusing.
I can see the photos if i go into settings>album, but not if i use the slider.. ??

Hi, I am facing the same issue and was going to create a new thread today for it but you beat me to it.
On the "Photos & Videos" tab, it was a blank page although on the side it said "1/13". The pictures were all okay definitely not blank.
I noted that hitting the "Menu" softkey did not evoke any response.
Another thing I noted was when slided to "Footprints" and then back to "Photos & Videos" tab, the softkeys from "Footprints" stayed on.
For the moment, I am suspecting that co0kie Home Tab v1.7.1 is the caused. See http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=6222344&highlight=photos+videos#post6222344

Thanks for that mate, yeah cud quite possibly be the problem, i have recently had to do a complete system restore, due to some bad data on the handset, and had to reinstall all the programs mentioned above, but since doing this, i have encountered the problem, not sure how to correct it really, but am i right in thinking there is a cookieshome tab 1.7.2 now..??

I just resolved this issue.
It was caused by a particular tweak, "TX Total Landscape cab", that some postings reported about messing up the "Photos & Videos" tab and others.
The "Photos & Videos" tab is now back to normal after removing this tweak.

Thanks for that, but unfortunately i do not have that cab installed, and have never installed it, so not sure why. I have just wiped the phone and reloaded everything back one at a time, and this time seems to be fine...

touch screen not working while in call

I dont know if this is related to the new TMO HD2 update but ever since I installed it I have not been able to press any soft buttons while in call. This includes speaker phone, end call, hold, start, etc. Anyone else have this problem, or a fix for it? Thanks for the help!

Are you using BsbTweaks? If so, turn off the Tap Time option. This fixed the issue for me.

It's probably bsb tweaks...try turning "Tap Time" option off.

Thanks for the help! I am notusing bsbtweaks but did follow a reg tweak from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=583638 (#44) to prevent accidental clicking on links when scrolling. I set it back to default and all is well now.
