Search is your best friend
^I don't think search helps in this cases...somebody with experience needs to answer this (ideally a cook).
Agreed. I resent this default answer of 'try a search'.
There are a few posts dotted here and there and 10000000s of options.
Even in the WM6.5 build thread there are over 1000pages and sporadic info.
Basically 23 is a more stable build than 28.
And I believe there will be a few different features etc. Like 23xxx builds added threaded SMS view.

I found some info on basic differences between development branches here.
Comparing those two builds in particular though, the threaded Outlook was also the only distinguishing feature I can think of at the moment.
The whole UI changed:

Hmm, it was my understanding that the 235** and 28*** builds both have the 'new UI'
If not, could you point out the exact differences?
Aside from a different theme, that 28002 build looks pretty much like the 23518 ROM I'm running on my HD2 atm.
yes, the question was not what WM6.5 brought over WM6.0 or 6.1...but rather the difference between the 6.5 builds, such as 6.5.3, 6.5.1, 6.5.5 etc until 6.6 comes out officially.
I think there is even a reference to 6.5.3(.3) on these forums somewhere. Beats me what it all means precisely!!! I know 6.5.5 and above has threaded pocket outlook view though and extra icons.
23518 got new threaded email feature, office 2010
You can copy Office OEM packs from 23518 over to 28xxx and your Office will still work. However, I cannot confirm if Office pack is sufficient for email-threaded features. It could be in other OEM packs.

Any chance at a rundown on making custom tf3d2 panoramas? I had the process down for the old manila, but that no longer works as I'm sure you're well aware of. Panorama is like the one thing I miss from the old manila, and when I saw this thread on RSS, I almost jumped for joy

I found some more here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=506654
Maybe these can be made compatible for the diamond.
And it looks awesome but it makes my phone very slow. I'm running WM 6.5 and TF3D2 so I was using allot of ram already. Maybe that is the cause?
This is the ROM I'm using:

Dear Sir,
I have tried almost all 6.5 ROM's but above one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=535879 is the best one as far as i am concerned.
Fastest booting time, small menus suitable for screen of Elfin
Can you please do something on these two points PLEASE
menu's are too BIIIIIG for elfin in all latest releases..
If you can workaround on this, it would be really a great Thing
Thanks and regards
Me too!! Am looking for the good old wm6 menus, I think they are the best for QVGA devices!! Any help is greatly appreciated!!
It will be nice if someone could made a cab to change to small menus (Dont know if thats possible).
Hate too the big menus!!
I think the menus are theme dependent. Can you please try the attached file from X2H and check the size of the menu?
Sorry, can't test on my Elfin since playing around so much with Windows files slows down the device!
Thanks, that was helpful

Hi Yogesh,
You are right but for every week we are getting a latest build of WM6.5, i believe all these can be sorted out once we get final build for QVGA, till that yeah we must wait.
And I think the idea behind large menus are to operate the phone with fingers instead of stylus, and yeah now a days the menus are bit odd...hope this will be fixed soon...
As you know lot of changes are coming for WM6.5 build...hope the best one come out
Thanks!

The menus did changed to small ones huh? It's really theme dependent, that shows how "customizable" WM6.5 is compared to its predecessors!
Credit goes to X2H of the Wizard forum.
Hi All
Is it possible to get the default calendar view as the year when opening calendar tab in manila 2.1? Or even to have it as an optional view in the menu?
Thanks

Yes Lemmy, that's correct
Anyone else?
I also often need a year view. So I assigned an original windows calendar to one of softkey. Windows (not Manila) calendar can be configured to start with any default view you want.

Interesting idea, I may end up going with that one if I can't get this :

it's from Manila 2.5.
The 2.5 doesn't seem to be fast and stable enough for a daily use. at least at the moment. I'm trying it from to time, but it's like a game; i always return back to the 2.1 after max 1 day use.

I knew it was from 2.5, wondered if there was a way to get it in 2.1
I'm staying with 2.1 for pretty much the same reasons!
Thanks

This is my new GhostXSeries roms that I have been developing.
I have designed the ROM for a combination of speed, looks and battery power. I have been getting good results, about 1% per hour power drain with HSPDA in stand by.
I have developed the rom with the following:
Base rom: Stock WWE 1.66
OS: 24169
Sense: 2.5.2014
I have not enabled 512mb of ram as I have read a lot of reports that the phone does a lot better with it disabled.
******* Noticed an issue with the people tab. Fixing now and uploading shortly, also think I have a fix for the dial pad issue ********
Here are some screen shots of my rom:

"lightbox_next": "Next",

"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",

}
Download Here:
I have modified the ROM to make it as stable as possible and skined it as well.
I will be developing the ROM more in future versions
I would like to hear what you think of the rom.

There you go, sorry about that, this is my first rom that I have posted. I have only been using kitchen for about 2 weeks so still new to this. I know about the dialer issue, I hope to fix this in the next release.
I just wanted to get a stable rom built and out there so people could test for me.
Let me know how you get on.
Cheers
