I have a couple of issues with this phone
1. every now and again it locks up and have to reboot by taking battery out..
2. sometimes when I text and send the text it does not send until I reboot.
3. yesterday when I slid the lock and entered the code ,it would not except the code, I had to reboot.

I'm pulling my hair out over this. My MDA Vario has often rebooted itself and i've always put it down to a glitch of one form or another, but today it has been rebooting every few minutes.
Each time it reboots a text message i've read reappears as NEW, as though the phone doesn't register me reading it before it crashes and reboots. If I delete this and other messages, within minutes once it's crashed and rebooted they will all return like a CACHED memory or something.
I don't know what to do.
It seems as soon as my screen dims on power save, it won't come back on and within a few seconds the screen goes white as it is rebooting.
Sometimes reading this message or doing anything in the message application causes the crash, sometimes it's happenign even without me doing anything.
HOWEVER - once i've turned off the power saver dimming the screen, no reboot is occuring. I've gone into the messages, read and deleted this message among others, and no reboot. If I manually turn the screen off though, within a few seconds it reboots.
What is going on ?!
i have the same exact problem! I changed the battery the day before yesterday and it has not done it since, but im not sure if it solved the problem as sometimes it does not restart in one whole day!
Hello, I was using my phone (Setup WatchOn and was playing with it, did not add or remove anything before my problems began) which I was able to use WatchOn without any problems, then after about a hour of not receiving any texts I suddenly received 6 in a row that didn't show up when they were sent. I restarted my phone since that was weird obviously and when it boot back up I can no longer do anything with it. I can turn on the phone (I have already restarted several times, removed the battery and put it back in) but when the phone is on I can't swipe up to unlock the phone. The time is displaying and the battery is changing like the phone is completely normal but I can't get into it anymore. If I hold the power button and spam press the restart button it actually react to it eventually but it takes some time.
If anyone has any idea what's wrong or how to fix it I would appreciate it greatly.
Try using the Samsung Kies restore method.... I have posted a couple of times on multiple threads on how to do this....

I'm having a problem where the camera works for a couple of hours then just turns completely black and doesn't start working again until i reboot the phone.
When i say works for a couple of hours i don't mean a couple of hours of continuous use but a couple of hours general use of the phone.
I first notice it when I'm unlocking my phone as i have Face Unlock enabled,
The front camera won't start so i have to unlock using the backup unlock method (pattern in my case).
As soon as that happens the camera stops working all together, even in the camera app, like i said, until i restart the phone.
Any ideas ?
try this
1. Go to Settings, then scroll to and tap Apps.
2. Find the Gallery app and tap on it.
3. Tap Force Stop.
4. Tap Clear Cache.
5. Tap Clear Data.
6. Launch Gallery again.
You can now try to use your camera again to
see if lags were gone. If they persist, try
rebooting your phone.

Has anyone ran into this issue where the pattern changed itself or no longer worked? I definitely did not update or change it. All of sudden today, it just stopped taking it. Initially, I was able to unlock with my fingerprint. However, when I went into lock screen settings to try and figure out what's the issue, it prompts of course for the pattern. It then of course said it was incorrect and then told me to try again. Now I'm currently locked out 60 minutes and my fingerprint doesn't work anymore either! This is such an annoying bug and have no idea how this came about since I haven't updated or downloaded any new apps. I've also rebooted several times as others have stated, and the problem persists..

Hey- I had the same issue happen to me yesterday. I was able to accidentally find a solution by following these steps
1. Turn off your Android device.
2. Press and hold the "power", "volume down", and "bottom" buttons simultaneously. ...
3. Release the buttons once your Android device is powered on.
4. A Warning screen will appear, press the volume down option to cancel and (restart phone)
5. Phone will restart and ask for your pin, the original pin should now be working again.
6. Add your other fingers to the scanner! - at least that's what I did

Sometimes (about 3 times a week), my phone have a big issue :
it reboot itself and/or doesn't respond well to my touch actions, and each time i have these issues, i can confirm that my phone isn't working normally because the unlocking system with finger print sensor has a strange behavior :
The normal unlock by fps behavior is :
I put my finger
I feel a haptic feedback
The screen goes on
When i have the issue, the behavior is :
I put my finger
The screen goes on without haptic feedback
After several seconds of "difficult" use, i feel the haptic feedback and the screen goes locked
Back to number 1...
I tried a lot of things whose safe mode and i have the same issue in it. I also tried wipe cache from recovery, disable enable Wifi, GPS, Sim 1, Sim2, SD card, and sometimes it seems to resolve the issue and sometimes not..
Then, the phone can work normally for about 1 or 2 days and i have the issue again.
I know it is often recommended to do a factory reset but i'm not sure it will resolve my issue because i have the issue in safe mode, and it will take me a long time to reinstall and set again all my apps
If you think it could resove my issue, i will do it but i would ask for another idea before.
