Composing and syncing sms - Touch Diamond, MDA Compact IV Themes and Apps

I used to have a great little app that ran on the pc. You could compose messages and then sync them to your xda. Great for long texts.
I cant remember or find one similar as this was years ago
Can anyone suggest one??
Theres plenty that sync with your xda and then you can technically compose a message on your pc and then send it to yourself but thats long and wastes contracted free messages.

Sorry after all that I've just found it lol
Incase you wish to know its called Jeyo Mobile Companion. Its the complete tool for sms management. You can create sms longer than 160 characters and instead of sending them you can simply save to drafts on your device. You can move any messages from any directory (inbox, deleted, drafts etc...)
Great app

Sms message saving.

Has anyone found a way of saving sms messages to their pc? for both viewing or creating? I have 100s in my inbox and would like to keep them, but not sure how to do it.
Any info would be gratefully appreciated
Mitch
There are some programs that apparently do this, such as SMSExport, though I've never got these to work.
The only way I've found to do it - though as the II has more memory I've not done anything with them in months now - is to use a db program such as dbExplorer to export them to a csv file. There are other posts that detail how you find the particular table the messages are in, there isn't one folder that applies across all devices.
Cheers
Anthony
Try Jeyo Mobile Companion. Through your pc, you can view all your past sms, all incoming sms, and reply to them. You could back up all or some of your sms, and restore them later (if you want). You could choose to make the backups in text format.
And not only that ...
You can view your call history and make backup of those.
You can make screen caps of your ppc screen.
Hope this helps.
Try this one
Jeyo's Mobile Companion is fantastic, exactly what I've been looking for since the first XDA came out.
Finally resetting your device (which I think is a good idea once every 6 months or so) doesn't mean you have to lose all your text messages.

Yes, I agree it is fantastic .... But it doesn't yet allow you to save SMS subfolders

SMS Group Sending App

Hi guys im fairly new to this site but was hoping somebody could help me out. I actually work in the wireless industry and I constantly need to send text messages to multiple people at the same time. Is there an app or plugin that would allow me to make sms groups instead of having to add recepients one by one? thanks in advance , sheemy
i would like to also
i have searched in this issue many times but i did not find any solution, i come over this issue by using jeyo mobile extendor, that enables me to send and receive sms from my pc using outlook, so i view the contacts by group and select all contancts in the group and from outlook i press the buttom of send sms.
but i do not think this will help you cause you are working in a wirless enviroment as you mentioned. i will be happy if we find another solution.

Automatic SMS send retry?

Hi,
the default behaviour of a SMS that can't be sent (no service or such) is to be moved into the "draft" folder and I have to resend from there manually. My communicater did automatically retry to send the SMS for a given time. Is there a piece of software that does the same for WM5?
Bump...
I'd also like to find such a program.
ron
same here... or even a free one that will schedule to send an SMS at a certain time
SMS Resend Available...Sort of
If any of you have access to the Palm Threaded messaging program (very sweet app!), this does just what you're looking for. I was disappointed initially with my Window Mobile devices in that nokia's middle of the road devices had this feature built in. Well the Palm messaging app solves all this an is a cool as heck program.
Good luck!!!

Sending SMS to all of my contacts

Hello people,
I wish to send a text message (SMS) to all of my contacts. My contact list is about 2000, so I guess I will need a software in order to send a message to all of them, because if I am not mistaken if using the MS software for msgs, will crash the phone as will try to load all msgs to memory.
Any of you who knows how to solve my problem, or knows a software? Please....
Thank you in advance.

Another forum member - t0flus - posted an application called "Group SMS" which may do what you're after....I'm presuming you could send the message group by group (if your contacts are in groups?).
The program can be found by searching for "Group SMS" or by clicking >HERE<.
I've not tried t0flus' program myself, but I'm certain that throwing 2000 contacts at the standard MS SMS program will kill it!!
Hope that helps!
Mark.
That is exactly what I was doing using my Nokia 7610, but I thought I would be able to find a software that would "do the grouping" automatically for me.
Thank you anyhow.
You see, I just think that a software can send for example 10 - 10 text messages, until all of it is sent and then display a message say sent to all or something like that.
Maybe try getting a PC program like Jeyo Mobile Commander and using that to send the SMS? It drags a list of contacts and messages over via ActiveSync and you can use the app to send SMSes, backup/restore your SMS inbox, backup/restore your contacts etc... I've sent SMSes from it before when I've been too lazy to pick my phone up
Here's another Group SMS app that allows you to choose one or more Contact Groups to send a text message. Works in a different way to the other app mentioned here and one or the other might suit your application better.

Great! Thank you people... I will try, and I hope that one of those will help me do it by the press of one buttons, because you have no idea how difficult and annoying it is to have to split your contacts to hundreds and send them that way.

Sprite Archie doesn't archive my incoming text messages

I've been using Sprite Archie on my previous phone (Touch Pro) and it worked fine, but on my HD2, it doesn't archive incoming text messages.
Sprite Archie can automatically forward sent and received text messages to e-mail. I use it to archive all my text messages in my Gmail-account.
On my HD2, sent messages are processed correctly, but received messages are not. Archie should forward them immediately as they come in, but doesn't seem to detect them. It's able to read them, though, as it can manually export them in a single list file. But I prefer the immediate, one-sms-one-e-mail method.
Does anyone have any idea as to what might be different on the HD2 that prevents Archie from detecting incoming text messages?
I would ask Sprite Software about this but they don't support Archie anymore...
Edit: I did ask them and they were very nice, but said they couldn't help since they no longer support this software.
Bump!!
No answers? :-(
Once more: Sprite Archie is a wonderful piece of software, I used it on my Touch Pro and it worked perfectly. It forwards each text message you send or receive to e-mail. I used it to archive everything in my Gmail account.
Can anyone help me fix it on the HD2? It doesn't seem to pick up incoming text messages anymore... I have a rare copy of the program that I can share here I suppose, if anyone's interested, since Sprite doesn't sell or support it anymore so I guess they won't mind.
Or... is anyone willing to try and create an entirely new tool that does the same thing? I would definitely pay for that.
Guess not, would be damn useful
