HD2 Default GPS application - HD2 General

I've been searching the forum for an hour now, and I cannot find if there's a way to set the default GPS application.
I bought mine in France, and it has a trial of Orange Maps. When I click on "take me there" in a contact information, it opens Orange Maps.
Is there any way to make it open Google Maps?
Thanks.

Hello
Did you find any solution for this problem ?

Bump. I'd like to change mine to TomTom, but I can't work out how to do it either....

I would like to change it to iGO8. Any advice apreciated.

are we talking about the navipanel??
if so... then the answers will never come... no one is willing to shed light on the subject.... kinda sad...

Maps for Venezuela ??

trying to find this for some time and i was hoping that someone has this.

Sorry to say, there aren't any. I read about a couple of guys building some maps with their own routes, mostly off-road; nothing official and most probably not up-to-date info.
Sorry.

sorry am new user, could u also please give me briefing about it?
thanx
lol, one of the threads getting worse with every post.
Here is my contribution:
1. Use the forum-search, there are many threads here concerning nav-software, with or without internet connection.
2. Read the manual and help files of your X1
3. Use google with the keywords of your prefered nav-program you decided for after step 1. Most of the programs are not free, so there is not just a download-link to be given, you must pay for it. Surprised?
really,hhhhmmmmmmm
i dont know coz, am coming from the moon!!!!!!!!!!!
First, if u dont want to help, dont write and second i know i hve to pay

You could try one of these: TomTom, Sygic Drive, Sygic McGuidder, Mireo Ginius Drive, Destinator, Garmin.
You should probably check which program has the best maps for your region/country. To do so you must find a forum from your county for gps programs or ask people who use gps regularly such as taxi drivers.
Most companies offer trial versions of the programs so you can easily check them out. Remember that you might need skins for the programs if they are not displayed properly on your WVGA screen (I know for example that Destinator's previous version needed skin to work on Xperia and Touch HD).
thanks pal for helping

GPS and Google Maps

Hi there,
Let me start by saying this is going to be a proper newb question Im afraid. I've had a search around but couldnt find what I was looking for, hence the new thread. I am sure there is already a ton of info for my problem so could someone please just point me in the right direction?
That said, the problem is this, I have absolutely no idea what Im doing when it comes to GPS.
I've been onto Google Maps and it all looks great but it has me positioned quite some distance away from my actual location. So I looked into getting some sort of GPS software so that I could make Google Maps more accurate (is that even how it works?). So far I dont want to go and spend my money on say TomTom7 or Igo8 just yet as I want to see how this sort of thing works first. So, I went and found some free GPS software (Im currently trying AzimutGPS) but everytime I try to connect it says "No GPS Signal"
I'm sure I'm doing something quite obviously stupid and wrong, I just cant for the life of me work out what it is!
Any help would be very appreciated!
go into quickgps in you prgrams list and download the info
the problem is you need to have this info otherwise getting a fix takes a very long time
Thank you for the help. I've done this and also found the option in Googlemaps to enable GPS (doh!) So I am now showing on the map as about 20 metres from my exact location, very cool indeed
For some reason I still cant get Azimut to work? Presumably something in the settings Im doing wrong but cant for the life of me work it out.
Are there any decent free navigation programs? Or is best to just pony up the dough and buy IGo8 or TomTom7?
tomtom 7 as softare is free, its the maps that cost money
but u get one free map on startup of tomtom7
hold onh ill get the cab

In my defence I did search Just apparently not very well! The wiki is damned useful and I've used that extensively for the programs and games list
Thanks again for your help, it was much appreciated.

The freebie map is just a teaser to show what TT7 is like.
you can't just download maps, you have to buy them .
There are other ways to get them ofcourse, but those aren't exactly legal. If you really want to, as always: google is your friend

Software idear

hello,
First of all, scuse my english, i'm french.
I've got a idear for a new software.
Every night I park my car in a different place. And when I go to a big city too.
I'd like to have a sofware witch can indicate where is my car.
It could work like that : everytime I park my car, I push a buton on my phone, and when I look for it, the software help me to find it as a navigation software or on google map.
Do you think it'is a good idear?
best regards
DaD
I thought this exists already.
edit: there are tons of apps in the market doing exactly that
Sent from my HTC Desire using Tapatalk
