Hi all,
I wonder if anyone can help? I like receiving delivery reports for text messages and would like the delivery report to auto delete once I have seen it or once I have dismissed the notification window (this is what happened on my last phone)? At present they show up as a new message. Is there a way that you can filter messages and sent them delete them like you can on outlook (PC version)?
Kind regards
Gregs
Bump, also looking for this feature?
I am looking for it as well, for messages in general!

Hello,
I like delivery reports because I like to know my SMS has been received, however I don't like constantly having to delete them when a message has been sent.
Does anyone know of a program that can record a copy of each text message as it's sent, then when the appropriate delivery receipt is received, delete the message from the list and delete the delivery report, so the list only contains undelivered messages and I you can turn delivery receipts off and not have to worry about deleting them?
Hope I've explained that well!
Cheers.
I'd like this too... delivery reports are nice, but having to delete every single one manually is a pain in the ass.
this is a great idea
Yeah, I liked reports but got bored of deleting them everytime so i disabled it..
The only phone I know of, where this has been really solved was the SonyEricsson T68i. There you had a "broken letter/mail"-symbol in front of the SMS and if it got delivered, the icon became a complete "letter" or a "letter with an X" if the delivery failed. You could check the delivery status via a contextmenu while reading the SMS.
But I didn't see such implementation in any other phones...

Hi all,
Does anyone know of a way to mark SMS as unread after reading them in TF3D or somehow link a reminder to them easily? I'm forever forgetting to text/ring people back after them sending me a message e.g. when I'm at work and have to wait for a break to call them back, so I could do with some way of reminding myself that a message needs me to reply, apart from the obvious but time-consuming option of manually setting a calendar reminder for each message.
Anyone got any ideas if this can be done please?
Thanks
Hi, I've been unable to turn up any help on this matter with searches but I wonder if anyone knows a solution.
I received a text this morning and I saw it appear in the notification bar, I also saw who it was from but didn't get to read it before the notification disappeared. I went to my messages and the text is nowhere to be seen in either Handcent or Messaging.
Now when I receive ONE new message my notifications say I have TWO unread and the Handcent widget also shows a 2 but still the mystery message cannot be seen.
I've of course rebooted and also tried this app which simply didn't work but if someone has made an app surely this must be a known bug?!
I could delete the message thread I know but I'd like to read the message first and also simply get to the bottom of this strange error, any ideas?
Mik
Anyone have any ideas on this?
So far the only way I've found to get rid of the invisible unread SMS is to delete every SMS thread. However, if I then restore them from MyBackup for example it comes back.
I'd really like to know how to properly fix this.
Hello
is there a possibility that all this works a bit more nicer?
no extra sms?
maybe just a different color or symbol behind the sms?
+1
it has been discussed but there hasn't been any solution so far. I'm used to recieving a delivery report as some sort of push-sms that you open and then it disappears and isn't saved in the sms conversation, but you can access it via the properties of the sms you sent.
Do you mean a message sent notification? If so, this isn't possible because of HTC Messaging crapware.... if you disable it and go back to the original WM messaging app, you can then use Advanced Config 3.3 to turn on sms sent notifications after....
Hi,
I've had my Galaxy S5 for just over a week and I noticed that the notifications (email, hangouts) do not update if I read the messages from another device. If, for example, I have a new email and read that email on my computer (or tablet), the notification on the phone will still be there until I read that email on the phone. If i just swipe the notification to make it dissapear, when a new email comes in, it will tell me I have two unread messages eventhough the previous messages have been read (on another device).
Before the S5, I had a Nexus 4. Whenever I read a message on my computer, the notification on the phone would dissapear and messages would be marked as read almost immediately.
I find it really annoying to have the notifications and specially the LED light blinking for messages I already read.
Can anyone please tell me how to have S5 work the same way? All my settings are set to "push".
Thanks!
Check if you have enabled auto sync.
Can you tell me where auto sync is? I only found "activesync" under the exchange settings and it's enabled. I didn't find anything like that for my google account settings.
Thanks

So nobody else has this problem?
