Notifications/Calendar Reminders - Nexus One General

I've had the N1 for a day and love it so far, but I seem to be having inconsistent behavior on calendar reminders. I have the calendar set to give a reminder, but it only sometimes sounds the alarm. It will always have the notification in the notification bar, but either the original reminder sound or if I snooze the alarm may not sound. Is anyone else experiencing this behavior?

There was a post on the google message boards that someone else is having this problem as well. Anyone else hear experiencing erratic behavior from their alarms/calendar reminders?

I've had some random issues here and there. I would like more options when it comes to notifications, and more consistency. For one I would like the led indicator to continue flashing indefiantly (as the tool tip says it should) until I acknowledge the notification. The current behavior sounds and flashes once, and if you miss that, then you have no idea you had a notification unless you woke the screen and looked at the bar.
Most annoying is the missed call behavior, but it extends to sms, email, calendar.
Edit: okay, so it does persist, but its too infrequent. one short but slow flash every 30 sec or so. I'd like something every 1 sec or 500ms flash.

Different kind of notification issue

I recently installed the day light savings patch to my cingular 8525 so I don't know if this has anything to do with it. However, my pre-set alarms now will chime when they're supposed to, but the "notification" in the bottom left hand corner does not come up. Now, the alarm goes on and on until I turn the phone off for a short period of time. Even then, sometimes the alarm continues to ring, maybe until it times out. But I can't seem to turn off my alarm.
Anyone have an idea of what might be causing this?
I've noticed that if I turn off ALL of my alarms that it no longer does this (no alarms to come on!) but the secondary issue is then I no longer get notices when my meetings are about to start. So either I get notification for when my meetings start and every morning I struggle with turning my alarm off, or I get no notices whatsoever.
The missed calls and text message notifications are working normally.

crash/freeze when receiving an SMS - intermittent

hi everyone.. i've had a problem that has been bugging me for quite some time now. it happens just once or twice a week, but it is still very annoying.
sometimes when i receive an SMS message on my trinity, nothing will happen, no alert, no screen light up, nothing.. and without me even knowing, my trinity has frozen. the green light still flashes, and i can try to ring the phone and it rings from the end i dial from.. but the phone does nothing, does not light up or make noise or vibrate. it's just stuck.. whenever this happens i have to soft reset, and when i do, i lose the text message that was received, and i am never able to read it.
i've pin-pointed it down to it only happening when i receive SMS messages, but even then it's only occassionally.. as i said, about once or twice a week.
has anyone else had this problem?
Did you use a third party soft like SMS notifier?
no i don't.. the only third party software i use is a tab control program to launch my applications from today screen, this has been happening since before i installed pretty much anything on the phone
*bump*
really annoying bug

Notifications any key disrupts them

I apologize if there is an obvious answer to this but this issue has been driving me mad for awhile now and I tried searching but if it's answered I cannot find it. I have been using DamageControl V1, 2.05, and presently Fresh 2.0d. Using the stock LockScreens that come with the ROM. What I find incredibly annoying is that if my phone gets any type of notification like Alarm or appointment reminder that pops up typically you have to slide down to dismiss it.
However anyone touch of the hardware keys (especially the trackball) will make the notification disappear. It doesn't dismiss it but rather seems to sleep the warning. This is incredibly annoying since 90% of the day my phone is in my pocket and I am constantly having notifications "hidden/slept" because the trackball or another button is getting pressed.
Does anyone know a way to block this behavior? it's really annoying with appointment reminders because once I hide/sleep them I can't get them to stop alarming 5 mins later and again it's in my pocket so I miss it.
Thanks for any help.
Well if nobody has any suggestions to a fix can someone at least confirm this issue exists on their phones? it's easy to do just set an alarm 1 minute in the future and then turn you phone off (standby) whent he alarm pops up on the lockscreen. just move the the trackball slightly and the alarm will "disappear" it has apparently slept the alarm as it will alarm again in 5 mins.. you can disable the alarm by going into the alarm and unchecking it.
Thanks in advance.

Random Vibrations

My phone will vibrate in my hand/pocket as if it is receiving a notification but nothing comes in. I go and check all the apps but nothing. It's always a quick double vibration. Is there a way to see which so is causing it? I have had Wakelock installed for awhile but am not sure what to look for.
So it appears that the phone is switching to vibrate on its own. I have no apps that are setup to change the volume nor do I have quite hours. Any suggestions?

Bug? No sound and vibration on incoming notifications (about 50% of the time)

Hi everyone,
before I take this into my list of OOS 2.1.2 bugs, I'd first like to evaluate whether I'm alone with this issue or not.
THE ISSUE: Approximately half the time, when a notification comes in on my phone - no matter from which app - the phone doesn't vibrate or play the corresponding notification sound.
WHAT SETTINGS I AM USING: I have been using "VibrateMode" for a while and have set the notifications slider to All/Vibrate/None, and this usually happens when vibration is on. So my first thought was, this might have something to do with VibrateMode overriding the original "priority notifications only" setting to "vibrate on notification".
WHAT HAPPENS: However, today this also happened when I had set my phone to "all notifications" and had the volume pulled up all the way. When I first received an email, the phone vibrated and played the notification sound. A little later another email came in, plus an update notification from Play Store and a news update from Google News & Weather. This time, however, there was no sound and no vibration, only the LED was blinking. This also happens frequently when receiving messages on FB Messenger. Half of the time, the phone doesn't vibrate when a new message comes in, but only the LED starts blinking (and the screen turns on thanks to Glimpse Notifications - otherwise I'd probably miss half of my incoming messages.)
So, is anybody else experiencing this bug?
UPDATE:
Can't say with 100% certainty yet, but it appears that activating "Ultimate Notification Control" in GravityBox helped with this issue. Will confirm after/if a couple more notifications come through correctly.
Still curious as to whether I'm the only one experiencing this bug.

No, but I'm considering updating to OOS 2.2.0 in the coming days, so I'll see whether the bug is still present then.
