How to fix alarm clock settings - Touch HD General

hey does anybody has knowledge about alarm rings? My alarm does ring...and the alarms repeats...but just every 30 seconds. So it does not repeat constantly...how can I change this in new leo roms? Who can help? Thanks for your contribution!!!

nobody has any idea?

Same problem for me but on the HD2.
And don't say G-alarm... how can I fix the standard wm alarm?
//Johan

Could that be related with ringtone you are using?
Tested with other ringtones?

No I didn't test it so far...but it worked with the same ringtone in the past. That's why I am wondering.

I have tested other standard HTC/WM alarmtones. Same thing...
But my alarm doesn't repeat itself every 30sec, just two times than only popup window.
(Running standard 1.43 Swedish ROM)

Klaxon confusion?? can u help

Hi all
I'm trying out Klaxon alarm clock.
Can anyone tell me the purpose / function of the "bell" button (bottom 2nd from right in attached image).
When I'm setting up an alarm, clicking on it just toggles making it lit up/not. If I press the play button it always plays an alarm tone (beep) whether the bell button is pressed or not. Very confusing and as usual with all these little apps there is no manuals or instructions anywhere.
Thanks for any help
Bell icon in klaxon
When bell icon is 'lit' it means the alarm is active. When bell icon is 'unlit' it means alarm is inactive.
Thanks for the reply qai5er
Stil confused. If I go in an edit /create a new alarm, why would I want to make th ealarm inactive???? Isn't that a bit of an oxymoron ?
Also, when I click on the "play" button it plays an alarm beeping regardless of whether the alarm is active or inactive. Surely if I make the alarm inactive, then the play button should play nothing and perhaps tell me "nothing to play, alarm inactive"...??
also as well as the questions above, can anyone tell me what the items mean on the alarm config page . . .
Snooze (min) I assume this is the snooze time
Expire (Min) - what is this?
Delay (Sec) - what is this?
Many thanks to anyone who can help

No, it is'nt. This is an important feature to me at least. Just because I have set up the alarm does not mean that there is'nt situation when I do not need it. Let me give you an example. I may have an alarm to remind me to pick up my children after school. During school holidays, I would make it inactive, and I would reactivate it when the school starts. I could delete it during school holiday and recreate it I suppose but that's too troublesome.
You might find good use of this in the future.
Since Klaxon seems to work witout any problems on your devices I was wondering if you could tell me which settings you chose.
I have installed Klaxon and checked all boxes in the settings-menu, but the alarm won't work.
Instead of the Klaxon alarm the standard WM-alarm start at the specified time, but ends after a few seconds by itself (probably because Klaxon wants to start its alarm?).
Could you give me any advice?
TIA

and I repeat my previous questions incase they get lost in the conv

What does the options "Integrate with TouchFlo3D" and "Forcibly remove windows Alarm" do?
I see no difference in touch flo nor in the normal windows alarms. Even if I touch clock in touch flo windows alarm is opened.

None - it doesn't seem to work.
However, I've installed SSMapa (2 files copied into /windows and then when opening up settings I get 2 questions - accept these). Second - start SSMapa, do an init, find time / clock and set up program exactly as typed:
/Program/Klaxon/Klaxon.exe
Set directory:
/Program/Klaxon
Chose save. Then deploy. You get 2-3 worrysome questions about removing signed exe files - answer yes. Restart device for simplicity sake or wait a moment and you'll get 2-3 questions about MP???.exe answer yes. Now you have Klaxon integrated completely into your interface. Meaning that when alarm sounds, Klaxon pops up. When you click the time - Klaxon is opened. No more useless WM time settings.

I have tried this but I cannot seem to find Klaxon.exe whether it is installed on my device or on my Storage card, I am not sure what to do.
Nevermind, got it working after LOTS of messing around
at least 2 people have now said that they managed to sort it out, but didn't explain how they did it.
to the people who are now able to use klaxon as a normal alarm, can you please share what settigns you had to change to get the alarm to play (say, a mp3), and then snooze for x minutes ?
thanks
I ended up uninstalling it as it was too unreliable. It was a bit slow to start up and also the alarm always went off late when integrated with TouchFlo (not sure if S2U2 was causing this). Back on the standard alarm now and it actually goes off at the right time now, which is a bonus.

I guess that the Expire is the how long the alarm wanto keep snoozing.
Let say yr snooze time is 5 mins. And yr expire time is 30 mins. Means it will only snooze for 6 times.. then it expired..

U can chooose the ringtone (MP3) from the 'sound logo' which is left to the 'Play' logo. From there u go search for yr MP3 file from yr folders. But remember to lit up the 'bell' logo or else it wont sound. Also pls close the light sensor which i found it is troublesome which yr alarm wont sound after 1st snooze.

I agree... best choice you will not be disappointed
Definitely buy G Alarm. There is also a hack on these forums so it opens from the the alarm tab on the home screen.
Amazing program. Can set alarms for anything.
I found that if I turn off the HD2, the alarm not working when times come...?
I just over slept because of this.
More then 3 alarms
Currently you have 3 alarms.
Is it possible to change some parameter in the registry from the hd2 to change the count of alarm clocks displayed ?
Can any one tell me ?
thanks

Alarm plays 2 melodies when it goes off

After reading a lot I still didn’t find a solution for my problem:
The alarm plays 2 melodies, one of the clock and one of the remembering when the alarm goes off.
Can somebody help my plz, Thx Mad
HD2 Rom: 1.48.404.2 NL, Manila: 2.5.19211619.0, Radio: 2.06.51.07
Had the same problem, i't disappered for me when i disabled the "my location" function.

Update:
I'm tired of searching a solution of my problem.
I just install G-Alarm. This is working good for the moment. Together with the patch “12aon Alarm Hack Home Tab.cab” you can access G-Alarm directly on your main page.
Still if someone has a normal solution I still like to know it. So all info related to this topic is welcome.
Now I found this:
and this reg can fix clock problem(only alert notification ring)
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Notifications]
"AlertInterrupt"=dword:00000000
Link: forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=610927
Maybe ill will test is later
Any update on this dual alarm ringing?
Mine also plays the Alarm ring (Alarm-Classic) and the Reminders ring (Ring-Buoy)
The Alarm ring is designed to get me up (am) & remind me to take medication (2 x pm) and the reminders a gentle ring in the room for Outlook calander items.
Having both when the Alarm goes off is too much!
I have installed a custom rom and now having no problems.
too late for your solution, yet you need to go into system sound settings, and disable "notification sounds". That can be enough reason for the alarm jingle not to sound at all sometimes, afaik

Alarm sounding alarm AND alert!!

This is an odd one. HTC's answer is to do a hard reset but if there is a reg entry or something I would rather try that first.
I have an alarm set with a sound I have placed in the windows directory. That works fine...
But when the alarm triggers it plays my default alert sound almost at the same time as my preferred alarm sound.
Has anyone come across that before?
Cheers
Rus
Yes mine does this - it plays an Alert sound right before the alarm tone rings, i think it's my text message alert sound..
It's not really an issue i guess just a 'quirk' ... doesnt bother me in the slightest..
i saw this on the stock ROM, and there are still quirks to the alarms in later winmo builds.
if you set an alarm from the home screen, i.e. the htc alarm, then go to all settings clocks and alarms alarms tab, you will see the sound changes aren't always carried over.
it doesn't do the dual sound on the later builds, but the settings pages still don't match.
Dual Alarm Sounds
Does no one know if there is a reg hack to cure this?
Having just got my phone set up the way i like it, I dont really want to have to load a new ROM just yet!
I was annoyed by this as well. For me it worked to disable the first entry in settings -> sound+display -> notification sounds. I don't know the exact term on english ROMs but I hope you get what I mean. It's where you set the sound for incoming mails and messages.

More Alarms Possible?

I know this has been asked before, but I can't find an answer. Is there a registry tweak that will increase the number of possible Alarm Clock alarms? If not, is there a good alternative that hooks into the WinMo Alarm Clock?
Thanks.

G-Alarm.
As many alarms as you want.

How does G-Alram compare to SPB Time? I can update to the newest version of Time for $5.00 (Had an old version from a couple years back).
Does G-Alarm show up in the Alarm area in HTC Sense?
Thanks.
-Bob-
It basically disables alarms 2 and 3. It only uses slot 1 of the alarm (so yes, you'll see it in Sense). But it changes slot 1 of the alarm depending on how many alarms you've set in G-Alarm.
Get G-Alarm, probably the best alarm software out there for Windows Mobile. Never tried SPB Time.
Cheers.
Thanks for the info.
I was looking for an alarm too.
