Hello, I live in Argentina but can buy it in the US... but where can you get an unlocked LEO (HD2) and what are current prices?
Thanks!
diego
I paid £475 from eXpansys for mine
I bought mine from Clove and was very happy with their service. They're currently charging £420 (excl. VAT): http://www.clove.co.uk/viewProduct.aspx?product=8BD3543E-20C2-425E-AE08-49CDE8188D62
HTC store in Taipei. Most of the stores are charging the same though, came to about £410 when I bought it.
thanks for the responses!
Google says 420 British pounds = 2 559.28427 Argentine pesos
that like a elementary school teacher's salary here hehehe, I hope it goes down in price with googles nexus one in u$s 529.

Hi all,
I'm looking to pick up a sim free Touch HD (for use on T-Mobile). Over the past week I've done some research and I've found the following prices:
Carphone Warehouse (bought with O2 simcard) - £440.36 Phone + £10.00 PAYG O2 sim card {TOTAL = £450.36 inc VAT}
PrePayMania.co.uk - £499.99 inc VAT (+ FREE 5 DAY P&P) + 5% QuidCo {TOTAL = £476.18 inc VAT}
TotalPDA.co.uk - £505.99 inc. VAT (+ £9.95 P&P) + 5% QuidCo {TOTAL = £491.84 inc VAT}
Handtec.co.uk - £501.76 inc. VAT (+ £6.95 P&P) {TOTAL = £508.71 inc VAT}
LambdaTek - £505.48 inc. VAT (+ £9.50 P&P) {TOTAL = £514.98 inc VAT}
Clove.co.uk - £527.85 inc. VAT (+ £7.90 P&P) {TOTAL = £535.75 inc VAT}
Play.com - £474.99 ex VAT (with RAC voucher below) (+ FREE P&P) + 4% QuidCo {TOTAL = approx £546 inc VAT before QuidCo)
Expansys - £544.99 inc VAT (+ £6.95 P&P) {TOTAL = £551.94 inc VAT}
Handtec beats LambdaTek by a few pounds if that makes a difference....I just bought mine from them, ordered late Friday night and it was delivered in USA Monday morning with cheap shipping:
501.76 inc VAT
http://www.handtec.co.uk/product.php/1464/htc-touch-hd/79acef5c9460ba749d477eb28738e604
Thanks! That's a pretty good price.. Assuming there's not a lower price I'll order one and get on with selling my trusty old Kaiser and brand new Vario IV to fund it
mlalahoi,
How much total they charge you in USD (including shipping, and VAT). Do they charge us for VAT even we are in US? I would like to know the total cost so I won't be surprise.
Thanks!

Ordered mine yesterday from http://www.prepaymania.co.uk/ and its free delivery £489.99.
They are out of stock atm though so
Otherwise play.com is 499.99 and its in stock...
Here's a great deal for the HTC Touch HD
Only £474.99 Delivered
http://www.laughingdeals.com/all-de...cked-mobile-phone-pound-549.99-delivered.html
Yea im just looking for the phone itself.........how much in U.S. Dollars.....im a native TEXAN also
Looks like we might have a potential winner here.
Does Play.com charge VAT on this item? If so the Touch HD could be:
£474.99 delivered inc. VAT = £403.74 excluding VAT. And it might be possible to get 0.5% quidco on top of that too.
Excluding VAT is the price VAT registered businesses and non-EU purchasers would pay (although I'm not sure about shipping costs for outside the UK mainland with Play.com).
Can we get the device any cheaper?
Damn wish I saw that 5% off play.com deal
I have one available posted on HowardForums.

Currently it looks like Play.com has the best deal available, I wonder why they're not showing as out of stock like most of the other retailers!
I might order from them, although it largely depends on what T-mobile can offer first! Thanks to everyone who replied with suggestions, I think we've got the definitive list. Maybe this thread should be stickied for a week or two.
Actually, the Play.com voucher deal only works if you are an RAC breakdown cover customer.
And even if you are, consider that the prepaymobiles through quidco is an extra £24.46 off, making it £464.89 with free delivery.
I got mine from Gumtree.com. Paid £390 for orange version (although completely unbranded) and paid £15 online to unlock. Grand total £405. Completely unlocked and unbrandanded generic software. Only small orange logo printed on battery cover.

Good price as they're going on eBay for around £500. Was yours second hand?..
via PrePayMobiles, it's £421 ex VAT with £24.46 QuidCo = £396.54 which looks like the best possible retail price going for a new Touch HD. Even if you're a consumer and/or not VAT registered, PrePayMobiles is only £489 - £24.46 Quidco.

The guy who sold it to me literally got it as an upgrade the day before. Phone was brand new with all accessories.
I recommend anyone in UK to look on Gumtree for sale section.

I read it as: "For my girlfriend", in which case he's a very generous boyfriend!
My order got cancelled due to stock
Need to get one from elsewhere now, http://www.theorder.co.uk/ seems the cheapest £499 inc del. Not sure if I can claim the VAT back if I buy it through work though....
Anyone ordered from there before?

I've been trying to get in touch with PrePayMania, but they're very slow at getting back to me. I did get a message that they were out of stock, but they don't know when they're getting more in. Which is odd.
Anyway, theorder.co.uk - who knows? Why not order with Play.com? They're the same price (and cheaper if you have RAC membership).
Can all the people who bought one post where and how much you paid for it. so others can purchase. ive searched google but all i get is the regular version .
thanks
Purchased a few phones and other things from here and can say they provide an easy and fast transaction, though dont know about International warranty and just a small word of caution Techoni are another large retail site but their customer service is bloody awful to say the least!
I bought mine of Ebay.
I wouldn't recommend using ebay if you're new. But if you have experience with Ebay then buy your phone from there by all means.
Recently I've seen Touch HD's go for about $900 AUS b.new in box on ebay.
That's way cheaper than any retailer that I know of.
Hell i got my Telstra one cheaper than any retail price here in Canada (all of them are selling the T8282 version rather than the T8285).
Bought mine on ebay as well. www.ebay.com.au This is an Aussie ebay site specifically to Australia. You still need to verify that it is an telstra touch hd you are getting. The T8285 and not a UK or Asian T8282 version. Let them know were you are from and if they will sell it to you from outside of Australia. I checked with five different sellers and three would sell to me in the US. I ended up getting one for $1070 AU dollars or around $730 US dollars. I ended up paying around $55 US dollars for Fedex priority international shipping and It got here in about 4 days.
Here is a link for one on ebay.au for $1000 AU which is about $686 US and it is a 850 mhz/T8285 version.
Again, a lot of the touch hd's on the Aussie ebay site are still T8282 UK versions. You have to do some digging to find out which one it is.
Love my telstra touch hd.
I bought mine from personaldigital9 on ebay and paid a little under $900 for it. I got received it in about three days super fast shipping. Very good seller.
Telstra
Directly from Telstra $1098
I also bought mine from personaldigital9, but i called and ordered over the phone... mine arrived in 3 days as well and is working great!

As a Corporate Customer Telstra give us discount pricing over the full retail pricing so yes our outright price is less than the advertised price of $1499.
I bought a Telstra T8285 from an Australian eBayer. He is selling brand new phones for $1000 AUD (around $800 USD) right now. The price is still negotiable. The guy responds to your questions nicely and quickly, and the shipping is fast too. If you are interested, please send me email at [email protected]
Thanks,
Frank
Since the Marketplace forum is for member to member buying and selling of usually used equipment, I would like to get suggestions for online vendors (shipping to USA).
The lowest price I have found for new GSM Hero unlocked is $499 USD, with about $15 for shipping (within USA): Has anyone had any dealings with any of these vendors; any recommendations?
Integron - $499
http://www.integrontech.com/HTC-Hero-Unlocked-QuadBand-Brown-p/htc-hero-brn.htm
Plemix - $529
http://www.plemix.com/phone-htc-hero-phone
Tradestead - $498 - from Hong Kong shipped round the world

SelectGSM - $529

AuroraCell - $529

I am also planning to buy a 2-year insurance policy that covers accidental dropping and liquid damage -- from SquareTrade (I researched a lot about what's out there; $50 deductible for accidental claims):
$76 for 2 year coverage... but it maxes payout coverage at $399 ...
================
Timing of Buying: Do prices typically drop around Thanksgiving in USA (3rd week in November) as vendors move into Christmas holidays?
I am wondering: Tomorrow, Nov 6, 2009, Verizon releases their "Hero" and they are subsidizing it at cost of $89 for 2 year contract. It's been reviewed as the best version of the Hero yet -- but of course it is CMDA. Sprint has been selling their new Hero at $189 2 year contract.
I am just wondering if Verizon's pricing might impact the overall marketplace for GSM Hero handsets, or if $500 is the likely bottom for pricing. I would gladly wait 2 weeks if the cost were $100 lower, but if not, I'd just buy it now.
So did you buy from one of these sites ?
Because i will be buying soon but not sure if integrontech is safe or not
But i read this about them ;
DO NOT BUY FORM THIS COMPANY. i bought a htc hero, it came in quickly but could only be set up in enlish with three asian countries, no possiblities to be set up in USA or any other country. Once you set up english in either Malaysian, Cambodia, or Indonesia then you get english key board but still has asian symbols so you don't to use full effect of keypad. Also it does not have andriod market or any upgrade programs. i tried to call the company, no answer, then i sent them 8 yes 8 emails asking them to contact me and not one single reply so now my return deadline has passed. i contacted better business beruea and if i don't hear from them soon i will contact them via my brother who lucky for me works FBI in the southern florida district and has police friends to get something moving on this scam. they robbed me of 499.00 dollars and i am not happy. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY AND AMAZON SHOULD BE ASHAMED TO USE THEM.

Hi guys,
I am looking to buy a Desire HD from an ebay seller (based in HK I think, although it says Australia).
eg:
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/NEW-Unlock-H...51917?pt=AU_Mobile_Phones&hash=item2eb0b07ccd
Are there any other Australian users that have done this? Do you think I will have any dramas using it on Australian 3G network? (Optus)
Any advice would be much appreciated...
Thanks!
I bought my from the UK through clove.co.uk
Here's the product page http://www.clove.co.uk/htc-desire-hd
It cost $507 AUD atm
Personally i wouldn't buy a phone off ebay (even though that's where i got my psp) but it's up to you. Clove is cheaper and i've had good experience with them
Got mine sealed brand new from ebay £280 bargain of the decade.
Thanks for the advice.
Can I ask how much shipping cost you from Clove? Apparently I cant get the price until checking out.....
Sounds like the way to go... depending on the shipping cost

DHL was around 30 pounds last time I bought from them, which was a DHD by the way. I would also recommend them as I've bought a Hero and Desire before from Clove and they are both got to Sydney in perfect condition.
Thanks for that, just gotta wait for the iphone4 to sell
$20-30 for DHL
Hey guys, I'm from Romania and would like to buy the Nexus 7 from somewhere in the US, an online store or something. Google Play hardware isn't available in my country yet but even if it was, I want the US version.
I've found it on Amazon, but the shipping fee is like $100 Just wondering if there are other alternatives.
Thanks!
I bought this one, http://www.ebay.com/itm/Google-Nexu...60475906994?pt=US_Tablets&hash=item53ee09d3b2 . But you can always try and find a cheaper one, but this one has pretty fast shipping

Normally I'd do that, but the GBP is more expensive than the USD and I would end up paying more of my local currency if I bought it from UK. For instance, with 17 Pounds shipping from Handtec + the price of the tablet and everything is already above the Amazon US price + $100 shipping.
