HTC has included a one time boot in this TEST Rom.
On the good part, It has some nice drivers and packages that could probably be used in custom roms.

is this similiar to the kitchen that kwbr published earlier? because when I open his kitchen, it says ROM version 2.00 (although I subsequently extract official 1.48 WWE Asia ROM, the ROM version stays unchange)

No this EV Kitchen is Leo 2.02 - Test and confidential Rom
yes out has some nice things in the 202
however to use the drivers you need the spl from it, quite likely the boot loader, the oemxip and clean out quite a lot of the nasties..
the drivers and xip don't work too well with spl142
This seems to work for me let me know if anyone has anymore issues
ddi.dll - Removes Watermark (Replace with 2.01 in OEM\OEMDrivers)
DDI.Dll
One time boot(Checking again)

Can someone cook it with the fix, I want to do some kernell researching using the HTC Debug Tools and Qualcomm Programms
can the 2.00 spl be overwritten with 1.42 by flashing a stock rom with spl included?

If you flash trough SD card, it will change to stock 2.0 SPL.
But bepe will come with a 2.0 HSPL...
So or wait, or try

You can flash back full stock Rom to get 1.42 SPL back
Or use my kitchen and cook 1.42 SPL in 2.02, you can also include the files to avoid the "one boot time" thing

I dropped the files, and some of them work and some of them don't.
I tried the old HTC debug tools, but it did not have everything what the hd2 debug tools have in it. For example TV out settings.
fard do I got you on msn?

so you can get back to 1.42 via sd flash?
(just double checking as im not sure if you meant getting spl 2.00 or getting back)

No HSPL has to be flashed using the tool.
Going back to stock SPL, you have to flash a stock rom using SD card.
Cause the stock roms also flash ur SPL + Radio, the stock rom don't.
im uploading my rom to rapidshare now, so you can use that, it has the debug tools and most tmobile stuff gone

BTDisk.dll
btctxmenu.dll
btrenamedir.exe
felvop.exe
BTFtpClient.exe

Yup same here, using latest stock ROM, no worky for me. Guess that's already been silently fixed ?
I'm getting the same on my stock ROM. Still waiting for HTC to get back to me for reasons why and possible solutions.
I've just had confirmation from HTC that those using the latest official stock ROM already have the hotfix installed as part of the ROM upgrade.

I would like to have your opinion: which cooked ROM is the cleanest and lightest ROM without all those "slowing" HTC customizations?
Or if this is not possible, which ROM has the least f those HTC embedded apps?
My ideal ROM is that one which has succesfull get rid of Manila, HTC messaging and all the other staff, except one: Compass.
At the moment I am satisfied with Freyberry Barebone: but up to now I cannot get rid of HTC Contacts, (I cannot re-enable the default MS Outlook Contact)

I understand that some of HTC customizations cannot be removed, but I wish to find a ROM which has the least of them.

Hey folks!
Just want to say thanks to everyone who put up some of the great FAQs and guides on here.
I'm successfully running Android on my HTC HD2 (TMOUS) w/ 1024Flash.
However, I am in need of some guidance.
I'm using the HD2Froyo_v2.1 build.
I have also successfully installed HardSPL.
I made a test call, and the person on the other end sounded like a tiny robot.
I read about this in the forum guides, but I'm not sure what exactly I should do.
Can anyone offer some advice/guidance?
I believe I need to install a custom Radio, but I'm not sure which one.
Also, are there any other issues I should expect or anticipate?
Will I be okay to continue using the Android OS from now on if I like it?
Thanks!!

Okay, so if I install that first one you gave me, I shouldn't have any call issues?
The build of Android I'm using seems to be running great, except for calls.
So here are my questions:
I need to install this VBNROM, correct?
Does this affect the Radio? My Android was running fine, but wasn't processing calls.
Will this VBNROM take care of this issue?
Also, how do I get back to Android after a reboot.
I'm currently back in Windows Mobile, but don't know how to get back to my Android install.
Thanks for the help, guys!

Any recommendations?
Try changing your radio. Search this as I am not allowed to post threads:
HTC HD2 Radio ROM Thread
Im pretty sure that you shouldn't flash to a .51 radio (grab the .50 ones) as they brick your TMOUS HD2.
If that doesn't fix the issue then you have to change your WM rom. Try Chucky's rom I found that got rid of the robot voice for me.
Post up if you have any questions.

I want to make sure I have the right thread.
try the 2.12.50.02_2, I am using that and it works perfect.
Also try putting music on your phone if you notice that it is playing faster than normal then change your WM rom.
Also, can someone tell me how to get back into Android?
I'm back in WinMobile, and I ran haret again. But now it just reboots to WinMobile each time.
Once android is loaded you won't have to do anything except get some cool new apps like angry birds (which is free and AWESOME). Also to boot up android, open the CRLCAD.exe then Haret.exe then it should boot. Not sure if i spelt it correctly but i hope you understand what i meant.
As I said before changing you WM rom may also help the robot voice. I would recommend Chucky's rom as it has a bootloader, so when WM loads there will be a black and white robot you press and it will boot up Android, better then opening both exe files.
To flash a radio go to the forum i sent you, then go to the installing section
to install as said you need HardSPL, and then download the radio rar file, and also download the CustomRUU file. After they have finished downloading Rename and extract the radio rar file make sure the name says: RUU_Signed.nbh and then open up the CustomRUU.exe and it should load it on to your HD2.
Here is what they wrote:
Installing:
For installing a RADIO ROM you need HardSPL installed to your device.
Rename the extracted file to "RUU_Signed.nbh" and flash with the CustomRUU: it won't hardreset your device.
Okay. I think I follow.
So I'll load a Custom ROM, like Chucky's, using CustomRUU and renaming the file.
Then I'll load the 2.12.50.02.2 Radio, and I should be set.
Have I got that right?
Try flashing a radio first and see if it works. If you still have robo-voice which i doubt then you can load Chucky's Rom.

i would take the suggestion from the first reply by blacksxe, which is the VBNRom.. and install the radio recommendation version that was posted at the VBNRom page as well (2.15)... also, expect that you will boot to winmo each and everytime that you restart your phone.. as of now, there is no nand support that's available for users.. only the devs has it and it's still under development.. so just use the EBL program that's included on the VBNRom and set it to autoboot (6 seconds or even 10).. that way you won't have to run haret manually each and everytime you restart..

Hi
I followed this tutorial to installing Android on an SD card. This worked well for the first time.
I used a 4GB SD card, and my radio is 2.8.000. Though what happens is when I load it, the 'loader' launches fine, though then reboots the device into Windows Mobile. I am not sure if this has anything to do with the Windows Mobile ROM being custom or not.
NOTE - I am a noob to custom roms ect, therefor I thought it would be a good idea to post the tutorial source. I'm also sorry if I did not include enough information.
If anyone has had this problem or knows a solution, all help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

HSPL won't affect SD Android and (if I'm not mistaken) he has a .50 radio which is fine for booting Android... unless he got the SPL/HSPL version and the radio version confused, which is likely as radio 2.8.000 doesn't exist, I think he meant HSPL 2.08. In this case OP, flash a newer radio with .50 (see this thread)

Basically yeah, and to flash Cutsom ROMs. It is of course needed for everything to do with NAND Android as well, but as far as I know SPL version doesn't affect SD Android, only the radio does. When I used SD Android I just skipped the whole HSPL/Radio things and just flashed the latest stock ROM 3.14 which gave me the latest radio, then ran Android

You're becoming very confused. SPL 2.08 is not the radio version, it is the SPL version. You should have HSPL 2.08 and Radio 2.15 is recommended. You can check radio version in WinMo by going to settings>software information>radio (if I'm not mistaken at least, it's been ages since I used WinMo) and your radio should be 2.xx.50.xx (in other words, 2.08 or above). If it isn't, see this guide for all the info you need

Oh, sorry. Yes, I was very confused.
In that case, my radio version is 2.10.50.08_2
So this shows that I need to update the Radio version?

No, in that case this radio is perfectly fine. Have you tried a full format of your SD card to FAT32 format? This often helps.

I've tryed this multiple times, though it has not helped. I have even tryed using a program for SD cards. I have a feeling it is something to do with the custom ROM in Windows Mobile, though I cannot restore it due to having problems with CustomRUU.
Is their any equivalent to CustomRUU? Or a way to get round the problem?

OK I know this may seem patronising, but the Android files are in a folder named 'Andriod' with a startup.txt with rel_path='Android' right?

Yup, the startup file contains
set mtype 2524
set ramaddr 0x11800000
set ramsize 0x1e400000
set KERNEL zImage
set initrd initrd.gz
set initrd_offset 0x00a00000
set cmdline ""
boot
I think it may be a problem with the Android version or something.
Is there another Android SD card version here? I don't mind if it has HTC Sence or not.
I've just tried 2 different versions of Android (for SD cards) and it did the same thing. Though with one of them it worked the first time, though when I restarted it, it would not work after that.
Something wrong with the HD2?

Startup.txt should have:
set cmdline "rel_path=Android nand_boot=0"
