I read that they could not confirm it, rather than they're denying it. Are they flat out denying it now?

Is windows 7 and windows 6.5 same..?
No, they're not denying it.
They just don't confirm anything before the official announcement from Microsoft.

NO it is not, Windows 7 has 0.5 more than Windows 6.5.
Windows 7 is known to be completely new platform and this is the main reason everyone is anticipating!
But win 5, 6, 6.5 is base on win ce 5 where as win 7 is base on win ce6.
Never see a product that can upgrade from one ce to another yet tho. Will be interesting to see one.

Well, the HD2 does meet the hardware specs which is the most important thing. Truely hope it'll get an update even though most current HD2 owners by then prolly have a new phone

To each his own, but you just made me throw up a little. I won't bother asking, but I really want to know why you'd want an outdated piece of crap like winmo on your beautiful android device. Oh well. As I said, to each his own.

When I had a winmo device I was using the Haret method to run Android on It because I hated winmo and I always will...
Maybe you should sell your htc Magic and get the htc HD1.

Because It's better than the total rubbish that is android, thats why. I also want Winmo on my mt3g. I can't stand Android, but I can't afford a new phone.
In that case, I'd try your local Craigslist to see if anyone is willing to trade you.

windows as a PC operating system is the best. windows 7 is amazing.
but windows MOBILE? GARBAGE...they even tried to make windows mobile 7 more like android os,iphone os,maemo os, etc.. and they failed miserably.

i know, we talk about win7 on Mega ... and as you can read here, there is any device, which can run winmo 7, either hd2 or tp2
as the qualcomm msm7225 uses arm v6 command set, there's no chance for having wp7 work on our phones because it uses arm v7 command set, the assembly architecture is completely different

you are joker skin isn´t what we want
what for?
WP7 for me is pointless and a step down from WM6.5
Actually i was wondering if WM will be discontinued after the introduction of WP7.
If so i will have to but a new Touch2 now that it is still available and keep it new until my current one passes away.
Why dont we wait and see the stability of WM7 first to decide.
For Halloween!

Hey, you know what? I think I would really prefer it with 6.5 installed.
At least it would a lot easier to sync.
Just my 2 bits. Can't wait til android is available so I can scrap wp7!

Windows mob 6.5.3??
Do you want to live a frustrated life... I used both the above... in their best devices: HD2, Galaxy SII..
They are miles behind WP7 Mango Beta.. Go get it... you'll undestand what I am saying
I am formatting my computer, I am struggling to decide on which windows to install.
Windows 10 does not ask user whether to install upadates or not.
Let me know your views on which to choose version of window.
Thanks

I prefer Windows 10 instead of Windows 7. It is newer. It is always updated and has a modern design. And you should understand that almost all widely-used software is also updated and most of them will not be available to install on Windows 7

Fully agree with you, and Windows 7 for performance has long been inferior to Windows 10, especially on modern processors.

I am using both of them, on one laptop I use 7 and on the other I use 10. What can I say is that I like both of them, but 10 is better and more performant, you can customize it the way you want, just need to know how. 7 is good too, but no more just for working. Also it depend by the power of your laptop.
I use 7, I hope to become a free upgrade. The 10 are particularly expensive.

The current version of Windows 10, already on weak computers, bypasses Windows 7 performance.

I was using Win 7 last year, but 2 weeks ago I installed Win 10 and now on my laptop, it works very well.
When you are choosing the operating system you should consider the type of your computer your programs and so on. It's very individual.
