Original windows home screen cab

Hi guys,
After trying all of the roms on the forum I've decided I want a clean HTC wm 6.1 rom.
I was hoping that the rom would have the home screen pictured in all of microsoft's videos, but it seems that the screen is not available in the rom designed for our device.
Does anyone have any ideea how I can get that feature?

Uncheck the HTC Home today item plugin in Start -> Settings -> Personal -> Today icon -> Items tab. There you can select all the other stuff like Owner Info, Device Lock, etc.

Nope. It's not what i'm looking for.
What i'm looking for is the windows slide home screen...

If I think I know what you're talking about, that might be for non touch screen devices, not the wm6 pro on the Cruise.

HD - beginer's problems

I've got a few questions to advance user of HTC.
1. How can I check online currencies EUR/PLN (like STOCK ONLINE). I know, that this application using yahoo services, but EUR/PLN doesn't work.... only USD/PLN. Directly by www it is working...
2. Maybe it's stupid, but...how can I sort bookmarks in browser?. I can edit, or delete
3. It's possible to connect my HTC (without SIM CARD) with another phone with SIMCARD (by bluetooth) and make connection? I didn't find it...
4. It's possible to connect my HTC with Dell Vostro 1710 by WIFI and use HTC like GPRS Modem? Only by USB port?
5. How can I change screen on landscape durning typing sms? I have tried to set button (rotate screen), but there isn't this option. Even Advance Config. installed, and TweakHD... :-((

5 -- in HDtweak go to option 17.8 and enable screen orientation ,, then go to settings>buttons and set button1(hold) to rotate screen ,, now when you hold call pickup button your HD should go into landscape, hold it again to get back to portrait!!
4-- dont know if itss possible by wifi but its possible with bluetooth!!
3--yes- enable bluetooth, enable beam, search for devices and pair with device!!

I know it, but now, don't have time to buy bluetooth cards and set (by authorizing service).

go to settings>connections>beam and set to enable (or something like that ) if you have a stock rom --- if you have a custom rom like Dutty's v3.9 or kwbr's Topix 2.5 then go to Open Commanager and set beam to enable
to pair devicews you can search in bluetooth options a new device (search from blackstone) and I think it will work that way!!!
beam is for enabling file transfer or something like that (I dont remember!! )
anyways just go through all your bluetooth settings and you'll get your answer!!!

1. Have you tried typing in eurpln=x directly in stock tab and searching?
2. Bookmarks in Opera browser are automatically saved alphabetically. I see you already know how to delete/edit
3. Enable bluetooth, enable beam, search for devices and pair with device!!
4. Never tried with wifi, sorry. Bluetooth works though

Helping Hand needed

Hi Guys,
i was helping a friend with his new Omnia and it seems that im to dumb for it :-(
Im used to HTC Devices and never had such issues before.
My problem: How can i enter the original WM65 Settings?!?!
And how can i disable the TouchWiz UI??
Any help extremly welcome.
btw: it has an original 65 on it.

Click start> settings> Display and light> Items on today in here you can turn off the Samsung Touchwiz today screen and enable windows default.
To turn off the other stuff like menu go to start> settings> general settings> Samsung Touchwiz UI from here if you turn this off it gets rid of the Samsung menus amongst other things.
To revert back even further you can delete the theme in the windows startup directory which turns off almost all the Samsung interfaces. Also if you remove that it shows the windows mobile settings icon as well as Samsung menu settings option.
All the settings from the windows mobile settings are available in the samsung settings menu but depending on what you are after you might have to look around more the manual could probably help with this.
As far as I know anymore than that you would have to install a custom rom on the phone.

Didn't update on my Diamond2 with the latest HTC ROM with manila 2.5. Always has before so I guess it must be ROM dependant..

Flipping ekk! c'on someone must know!?? TBH im not really bothered but its just bugging me that this phone must be able to update summer time!......Or am i wrong?

Stock ROM
I'm running stock ROM on my Orange Touch HD, and the clock advanced as it should. (I also have a cooked ROM on my Elf (Touch) and that advanced correctly too!)

Automatic change time zone and clock
Have you enabled "Automatic change time zone and clock"?
You can find it in Settings ==> Personal ==> Phone ==> GSM/UMTS Services ==> Time Synchronistion (WM 6.1)
Had the same problem, but when I enabled it the clock changed to the right time...

Cheers for that, but i get to this point "Personal ==> Phone" and i cant find/do any changes as you say!

I managed to get my phone set to summer time but my recurring appointments are still one hour later than they should be. Anyone know how to fix this? Thanks!

Hi Paul. On my phone you go Settings ==> Personal ==> Phone ==> Time Zones and then tick the box that allows you to set it to adjust automatically. That worked for me but still did not solve my problems in my calendar. Aaarrrgh!

Yes I do have an HTC Touch HD. On my phone when I go Start ==> Settings ==>Phone I see a screen that has options for sounds at the top of the page. At the bottom are tabs for Phone, Services, Network, etc. If you press on the right hand arrow you will see a tab for Time Zones. If you click this you get a tick box to "Automatic change time zone and clock." If you tick this it should automatically shift to daylight savings time or the equivalent in your area. Hope this helps!

Well Looby i installed that cab! thanks mate, thing is how can i "test it" or do i have to wait till the clocks go back??? becoming a mission this is hehe

Install schap's Advanced Config, have a look at the settings at the bottom under the heading "Miscellaneous", there is an option there "Automatic daylight savings switch over", enable it and soft reset.
No idea how to test. I guess putting the clock to 28-Mar-2010 00:30 and seeing what happens...

urgently needs help in "input options"

hi all bros and sis . been away too long from wm devices and really lost touch.
recently bought a X2 and i did an update via the sony ericsson update software.
after which , the phone interface seems slightly different from what it seems to be from i first got it.
not much an issue except , i frequently use inputs like transcriber and hand regconition .but now even that option is gone.
usually right beside the onscreen keyboard tab , there is a small arrow whereby it will pop up the option to change input and settings , but now that arrow is gone . i tried going thru the entire settings but cant find any way to change it .
and i realized that i cant really go back to the default wm6.5 interface but all i keep getting is spb shell's and stuff.
anyone can give me any suggestion on how to get to the input options?

Well the simple answer is - it's not there!
You just have one option - SE keyboard.
As for interface - what do you mean?
If you want default WM 6.5 UI just use default Panel.
All the apps now look a bit different since now it's WM 6.5.3 which is much changed from 6.5.2..............

anyway sorry for being a noob myself , how do i set back to the default UI or
the classic today screen ?
cos no matter how i try it still brings me back to either those installed panels .

i have read that after the update , radio fm should be available.but i cant seem to locate it anywhere as well.
sigh.. this is getting really fustrating .

Okay.
Radio is in SlideView - press the left/down button once under the left call button.
Under Multimedia you'll find the radio.
Default UI - one of the Panels. Double click the same button, you'll see Panels = homescreens to choose from.
WM default homescreen is looking a bit different now however it can be set as W 6.1
in Settings - Today....
