Im running Mighty Rom 12/6 build and i've been trying to stream video/audio. When i click on either the HTC Streaming media player loads up and it plays like 1min with buffering stops every 5 seconds almost and then it stops saying the server disconnected me from the stream or the bandwith is not enough.
is this a issue with Verizon stopping my streams? my settings within the Streaming Media Player? or something else?
I have a friend who has the touch pro 2 with US Cellular and we both tried a video and it played through within 3-5 seconds right away on his phone, but on my touch pro 2 it buffered for nearly a minute then played for 5 seconds buffered played for 5 more seconds and buffered til about a minute and then stopped playing sayiing either the server disconnected me or the bandwith is not enough, or saying Server or data time out; tap play to reconnect

I installed this tweak/setting that disconnects GPRS after a certain amount of time (user determined). i have it auto-disconnecting after 10 minutes. for some reason when i listen to streaming audio it disconnects after 10 minutes. i'm using a media player installed on the storage card< but that shouldn't matter right? Any suggestions on a fix for GB_SOFT or a better program?
Thanks,
i can play music through my bluetooth headset / htc 8525 when i hit the talk button during a song or something and it will route it to the bluetooth but after the music plays, it only lasts for 5 seconds and plays again on the phones speaker.. how do i fix a problem like this ?
I am using ES File Explorer to access the video files in my PC, and using ES Video Player, the built-in video player and at least 6 different video players I got from the Play Store. Very often after 10 to 20 minutes into the movie, the video either stopped or started to stutter.
Then I found out the Wi-Fi icon was grayed out, even the Wi-Fi was on. It didn't matter how I held the N7 with my hands, close to the PC, to the router, the results were the same - either the video stopped or stuttered. I didn't have the same problems if I did other tasks using Wi-Fi. The connection was always good - 4 arcs. The Wi-Fi Analyzer indicated the signal strength was -50 dBm and better.
Is there any settings in the build.prop for example or other things I could do to prevent the Wi-Fi from going off while streaming video?
Hi Experts,
I have got a strange behaviour and would like to know the reason.
When playing streaming Radio, TCMP stops playing streaming media pretty exactly after 6 minutes and 00seconds.
Sometimes it even stops earlier but never later...
That behaviour is independent of the network source: 2G, 3G or WLAN.
It looks like a timeout in networking, but where can that be set?
Any help would be appreciated.

PS it's on a HTC Leo. Seems to be the same issue then the (unanswered) thread from 2009: media player stops playing streaming radio when inactive.
Has anyone got a clue where to set the timeout?
This wouldn’t bother me except I use doubletwist airplay feature. On my S3 if I set a playlist playing on my PC, streaming it from the phone, it would play all the songs in order fine. On the S4 it acts like it cannot connect occasionally, so will jump several songs before picking up the playlist again. When I turn the phone screen on it will occasionally give me a message saying it has connected to Wi-Fi. I have it set to never sleep the Wi-Fi connection. I also have to manually broadcast from double twist to get the phone seen by windows media player. My S3 would generally always be visible. I am right next to the router btw.
Is this behaviour fixable or will I have to wait for an update?
