Great news....

auto bluetooth on when call incoming

Hi,
I've just acquir a stereo bluetooth headset "voyager 855" (I think the best one...), I've paring it to my kaiser, switch on the bluetooth ... and i've seen that my htc's power drown so fast ! less than a day to go to 0% !
I think it's 'cause that my bluetooth being always turn "on" !!!?!
So i'm looking for a software that turn "on" my bluetooth connection before "off" when a call incoming and shut it "off" when I stop to convers.
Is this soft exist or is someone be interested to developpe it ?
Thank for your answer
this would be great, if we could reduce the pair-up time of the bluetooth devices and then get the phone to re-route the audio
or if this isn't possible, what about auto-adjusting the transmit power of the bluetooth radio on the phone so that when the phone isn't in a call, or some other use of the bt-audio that the transmitter run just strong enough to maintain the pairing, and when a call comes in, it jacks the power up to an acceptable level ( user configurable of course) to enable a call
ozbt
Google for ozbt. This app switches BT on every time the phone app is active. To have BT switched off after a call, I used AE Button plus to assign a Mortscript to the RED hard key. This script checks if the active app is "Phone" and, if it is, switches BT off (using BTtoggle.exe) and sends the RED key to the "Phone" App to terminate the call. It's not perfect, it takes about one second to terminate a call in my kaiser and I have to select headsets in the begining of some calls.
mortscript:
Run("/Program Files/AEBPlus/aebplus Emulate Red Button.lnk")
PhoneActive = WndActive ("Phone")
if (PhoneActive = TRUE)
#Sleep( 10000 )
PhoneActive = TRUE
while(PhoneActive = TRUE)
PhoneActive = WndActive ("Phone")
endwhile
B = RegRead ("HKLM", "System\State\Hardware\" , "Bluetooth" )
If ( B >8 )
Run( "\Program Files\BTToggle.exe" )
endif
endif
Hi mmoiron,
Could you share your ozbt version ? the Oleg Zakharov site is down and all web site that I visit link on it...
- PhoneAlarm
- Csdevctrl - lock/unlock app with multiple features and you can use the bluetooth option only
I was trying to upload it to rapidshare using my kaiser but I couldn't. I'll upload it in a couple of days.
cumprimentos
thank for your passed time mmoiron

Connecting to Ford Audio

There are other car connection threads but I thought I would post this thread to provide a search hit for anyone with a Ford Bluetooth Radio. It combines bits from a couple of threads and should enable you to successfully connect to your Ford car. Thanks to all of the other posts whose work I have cobbled together here. This is confirmed as working with the HTC 1.66 WWE ROM.
Out of the box the HD2 does not initiate auto connection with the Ford, refuses to pair with the Sony radio and hangs the radio at the end of a call so...
Using Resco or similar registry editor..
1. Modify the HandsFree plug-in: HKLM\Software\WIDCOMM\Plugin\HandsFree
i. Change DWORD SupportedFeatures to 45 (was 1379)
ii. Create binary value HFBDA , set to same value as LastConnectedBda
iii. Create DWORD HFDeviceType (Dec) 2
2. Modify the WIDCOMM bluetooth general settings: HKLM\Software\WIDCOMM\BtConfig\General
i. Change binary Value bdaddr to (no value) delete the existing key value, was 00 23 76 74 2c d5
ii. Change DWORD DisableReopenAudio to 0 (default is 1) I didn't have this registry key so I created it with DWORD value (dec)0
3. Reboot device (soft reset or long press off until power off option).
These above mods make the handshaking between car and HD2 much less prone to lockups!
Go to car, check that radio has bluetooth enabled.
HD2 wil find car (Ford Audio), send a random keycode - pairing fails but this will wake up radio which displays another keycode. Re-enter this correct keycode and pair device.
If a Ford built in radio then accept incoming connections and phonebook download when prompted.
If the Sony radio (Galaxy, S-Max etc) then you must also accept the stereo music connection else it will not work.
On HD2 go to settings, menu, all settings, bluetooth and 'add knickname' to your Ford Audio connection, check that 'accept all connections' box is ticked on this page.
Only bug so far is that by accepting the stereo audio connection the music player starts playing whenever you connect to the Sony radio. The music cannot be heard as the Sony does not accept incoming streams - however if you do not enable it at the connecting stage then the phone connection subsequently fails and refuses to work again. If anyone can get around this annoying problem then please post below.
Huge thanks for pulling this together
I'd about given up hope of getting the HD2 working with my S-Max. Still not perfect, but at least now usable.
Great stuff.
Interstingly the current S-Max seems to be generally less compatible than the one from a couple of years ago.

FM Radio...hardly tuning radio stations

Hi there!
My Leo's default FM radio hardly tunes a radio station when I click on the automatic search button.
However, if I go on clicking 1 by 1 (90.0, 90.1, 90.2 and so on til 108.9) I'm able to clearly listen up to 25 radio stations without any noise, so the quality is just fine.
My question: Is there a way to change a parameter in the Registry, so that the FM radio does not have so much "objections" with the receiving quality of the available radio stations?
Thanks for reading.
Cheers!
it seems not. this has been brought up several times, andthe result always ends up with the summary that yes indeed the fm radio is in fact rubbish.
there's a "de emphasis" tweak in bsbtweaks which helps slightly, but don't expect miracles.
you'll just have to set your presets manually

Need something explained (GPS issues related)

In /data there are multiple log files that I am trying to decipher.
in SUPL_EVENT_LOG.txt I am seeing this
GN_SUPL_Config_Set: Set SLP IPAddress == lbs.geo.t-mobile.com, Port =
= 7275
It alternates with the supplement server configured on the device (per GPS fix threads)
GN_SUPL_Config_Set: Set SLP IPAddress == supl.google.com, Port == 7276
Why would the phone try to get the data from the lab server in TMO? It is def not accessible from the public Internet
Also, is there a way to find out the GPS chipset from the command line?
I know the phone sets it as a serial device, but how can get teh hardware information.
SOMEONE identified the chipset as the Broadcom InControl 20751 in another thread - don't know if that has been conclusively confirmed, but it's supposed to be a GPS/BT/FM 3 in one chip
if you check their web, interesting part is, not only is it Fm receive but Fm transmit as well
I suspect nokia is using it in their N8 that's coming out soon, as they've described Fm transmit capability on it - it'd be nice to have GPS nav instructions over the car stereo (as well as music files or audio books)
It would also be nice to have GPS that actually works.
That's interesting.
I think the device itself is a real gem, hopefully the hacker community will make it shine as bright as it can be , can't wait for custom ROM's for the device.

KR-R16-MB POWER_ON_CTL does not turned on

Hello,
I Have a problem about my multimedia radio in my car,
According to the motherboard scheme,
I replaced two corrupted components:
1) Q26 - to enable to "Acc +3V3" to work
2) D6 - to enable to POWER_+B to to turn on the chip
Currently I'm blocking on understanding why the MCU doesn't turn up to "1" of "POWER_ON_CTL" pin,
In Addition I did some test check and tried to do it manually by connect to ground of emmiter of Q4,
This test enabled the "POWER 12V" and more
Anyone can help please ?
Thanks,
