Hello guys!!
Is it possible to answer a call by shaking your device or denying turning it upside down?
I don't know if it is possible to add this features via tweaks or if it is possible only by apps..... or nothing at all..

Your worry is misplaced
The vibrator does not influence the phone's life time. (Battery time yea....life time...no)

Hi guys,
I cant believe this, Im trying to get my screen to rotate ALWAYS but it turns out that this is not possible?????
Please correct me if Im wrong, or guide me please in the right direction.
The whole purpose of me bying this phone was that it has screen rotation and I hope like always! Not just with photos, but really everytim I turn the phone.
Think of it like android Htc Dream it rotates also on turning phone.

I have disabled screen lock so currently all keys wake screen. I would like to change this so only the power button wakes the screen....help please.

I'd like to know this as well... Also the answer button is a waste of space. Why would anyone need it if theoretically it shouldn't be possible to answer a call without finger slide. Sometimes I answer calls by mistake when removing the device from the pouch...
I think this is one of the reasons for my battery depletion. Every time I pull my HD2 out of my pocket, the screen is always on...
This really needs a solution
When taking the phone out of my pocket I have seen it in Opera, other apps and worst of all I heard my pocket talking to me on Monday - pulled my phone out and I had called someone who had been called by me listening to everything I was saying!
As I said this really needs a solution ASAP if anyone can help...

For now you might be better of by using Lock Screen, it can still turn on your phone with any hardkey. But atleast the screen itself is locked so you can't call someone, or start any programs.
I understand lock screen is an option but the simplicity of a one click lock/unlock makes the phone that much quicker to get into and better to use....
we just need a way to disable the other 4 buttons (expect power) from waking the device....

Also, I want the "answer" and "hang up" hard keys disabled when I receive a call. This made me pickup or ignore call which I did not want to pickup/ignore.
Only solution would be a custom rom with device lock/button lock coocked in it.

Well PocketShield is halfway there. it disables the hangup button nicely, but I can still push the hard pickup button.

My HD2 gives an annoying click sound with every touch i make on the screen.
I have tried turning off tactile feedback thinking that there could be sounds attached. I have also searched through all sounds and notifications but to no avail.
Could somebody please advise where i am going wrong.

why start a thread for this? you could easily have done a search, or even read the instruction manual/quick start guide. I have an O2 HD2 and this is mentioned in the guide.

have u found a fix or something like HTCSensorSDK -that we use for the accelerometer sensor - for muting the ring tone like the htc phones ?!
as u know they can be muted when u turn the lcd .
is it a way for solving this problem ?!

Hey, isnt that feature a part of the sense UI on android based devices?
however if you know any windows mobile developers you could ask them to make you an app? im sure it works by reading values from the g-sensor and the proximity sensor during the calling period then applying the appropriate settings for the values read.
We have one for our tg01 but unfortunately there is a time delay when you tilt the phonr

i think they is v2 of this g-sensor, i think it is by a person called 'arnookie + lesscro' but it is further on it that thread.. i think page 3 or something! hope i helped, hopefully it works fir your acer

this app exist for WM. it was before android! it is implemented on the touch hd, diamond, hd2 etc. im looking for this aswell. how did you get the app for this though? i dont havd any settings for this !
