Hi there,
Can anyone confirm that chinese character is sent out and 100% readable in any nokia phone (chinese input )?

Has anyone experience the same problem?
i've got CE-star on my xdaII, and it sends and receives chinese sms's fine to a variety of phones. nokia, siemens, other XDAs. the problem is when saving a note or text file when the ?????'s come up. i have to use e-mail to circumvent the latter problem.

I am used to send lots of group SMS to large number of people. I really bugs to use the current SMS application of WM5.
is there any solution or apllication to do this?
Thanks

WM5 sms app does suck ass but you can send to multiple people if you put a ; between the numbers...

dont know if that will help ya or not but ive found it werks.

Hi,
in my SE phone I have always been able to send smileys and small animations when sending by sms. In Trinity it is not possible. Does anyone knows how to send animations and smileys or is this an upgrade issue
These are probably EMS. A non-standard extension to SMS (before MMS).
Never seen a client for PocketPC.

There is a solution to sent/recieve SMS with smileys. Search for Palm messaging on this forum. Palm does understand the customer better than MS
You may want to try XSM by Imaginet
http://www.imaginet-software.com/index.aspx?p=xms
unfortunately it's not free, 9$US, and the program must be installed on both sides (sender & receiver)...or you can send it as an MMS to the other device if it doesn't support the program...
I have not used this software.. but it looks promising...
cheers
Hi,
I've searched the forums and couldn't really find a solution. I wanted to send and receive Chinese text for SMS. Is there any way that I can do this? Do I require to update to another firmware or do I just need to install some sort of software? Thanks.
I should add that I am subscribed to CE-Star and tried the methods as suggested in this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=332554) and they both don't work.
I CAN see and write text on HTML pages (like facebook updates), email etc, however, just when I use the same method to write a SMS message, it becomes a underscore line (something like _______________) where the chinese characters should be.
A friend of mine with a chinese OS Nokia phone is able to send me the chinese SMS text and I can read it fine, so I assume that it isn't a network issue?
Thanks again!
