Sort Youtube by "Uploaded Date" - HD2 General

The built-in Youtube apps is good. After it searches, the list is randomly pick from Youtube server. Can we sort the list to "Uploaded Date"? I know there should be registry hack for this option.
I can do this in CorePlayer by choosing "Published Date" option.

Yep I need this too

Is there any today plugins for windows media player

Does anyone know of any today plugins for windows media player so that track information and controlling play/pause, next track etc can be done from the today screen.
I often find i start WMP, then while doing other things suddenly want to stop a tune playing etc, and have to go back into media player.
I know there's other programs like mort player that allow this, but is there any plugins for WMP.
I've tried PHM's pocket plus - http://www.phm.lu/Products/PocketPC/Plus/#PHMtWMP, but that doesn't seem to work with WMP10.
interested in this also... let me know if you find anything. thanks
been on a business trip and it's only now that i saw this post. here you go then; nice little app / today plugin that allows you to use your media player and control it from the today screen. it also gives you an extra option of displaying both battery and memory bars/indicators. the website is:
http://www.mobiletechreview.com/software/PPC_MP3_players.htm
scroll down and you'll "today player". clicking on it will give you this site:
http://www.todayplayer.com/
just copy the cab file and execute it through your unit. from there; go to today settings and click on the box to allow the plug in to appear on your screen. it gives you a play button, stop, previous and next songs, etc. the note icon on the left gives you a bunch of options; best of all it gives you an option of "lights off" meaning the media player will continue to play even if the screen is off. the 3-bar icon on the right gives you the options of loading playlists which you make through your media player. it also allows you to load folders for songs and such. it also shows you the song currently being played.
the only drawback i see is that it's limited to playing mp3 and ogg only. i have a bunch of wma files somewhere and i had to convert them to mp3. but other than that; i like it.
cheers
This is a stand alone player and it's very nice (had it on my iPAQ) tried this on my i-mate JAM before and had some display issues were in the player would not refresh properly... I don't think it has been fixed as dev't on this application has been stopped.

Thanks, I did take a look at this, but was hoping for one that was actually integrated into WMP and not standalone.

Rss hub - Where did "Update Podcast" go?

Has anyone notcied that RSS Hub has gotten rid of "Update Podcast".(I have noticed this has happpened in recent roms from about a month ago) I use podcasts alot in this app but noticed there is only a "Refresh" option, which in turn removes all the podcasts I have downloaded (the links still appear there but the audio files must be downloaded again). Very frustrating.
E.G. I have set up RSS to use my storage card: I have Hamish and Andy podcast which is an audio podcast, so RSS will download audio files for each podcast. This works fine.....Except that as the days go by, it will not update with the latest podcasts (these come out daily), SO previously I would choose (from within the podcast) "menu" --> "Update Podcast", which would then get the latest podcasts. Although in recent roms, i have noticed there isn't this option anymore, there is however a "refresh" option. This option for me, gets the latest podcasts, although removed all the previously downloaded audio files......
Whats the go?????
rss
I don't know if i correctly understand your problem, but did you check the channel context menu: "Properties" --> tab "Podcast" option "Keep this many podcasts"?...
Yes, i am keeping ALL podcast in the channel properties.
I wonder what version or what software are you talking about because RSS Hub aka Newbreak works fine for podcasts and also webcasts (any version of it), just use the refresh option and be sure to have the proper settings.
I'm user of that iliumsoftware for 2 years and I don't remember any "Update Podcast", always used the refresh function and it works very good, of course it could be better but it does work good for those who know how to use it.
You have your settings wrong for sure, please check those channels that you say lose the podcasts, look at their properties like the "Keep this many podcasts" and "Automatically download podcasts".
Best regards

what's the exact url of the site? and which browser did you use on your phone to access it?
As far as stopping Google from formatting your pages, do this:
Open opera and perform a google search
Scroll to the bottom of the search results and look for the link called "Settings"
(You may have to zoom in to click the link)
Under "Format web pages for your phone", click "Off"
(I also click "Off on "SafeSearch" and "Save Recent Locations")
Voila, all webpages will now be formatted via opera instead of Google.

Unfortunately, I am not allowed to post URLs, but I use Opera. I got rid of that Google formatting, but there is still no sound. It looks like Windows Media Player plug-in for Opera is missing. How to get it?

Ok, I got the URL you PM'd (http://local.trio.ee/ot/mp3/mp3player/elmarwmp.html) and opened it in my desktop browser first. It did just open a WMP plugin and started an mp3 stream, but it took quite a while to buffer at first, and kept needing to pause and re-buffer every minute or so...so it looks like the feed isn't that stable to begin with.
Now, I tried opening that url directly in WMP on the phone, and it wouldn't play it...it started to open, then just gave an "error has occured" message and wouldn't play it. So, even if there is a 'wmp plugin' for opera (I've never seen one), it probably wouldn't help in this case since the onboard WMP doesn't seem capable of playing it anyway.
Some of the other common media players (TCPMP/Coreplayer, nitrogen, etc) might be able to open that url and play the stream, but I don't have any on hand right now to test. Each of them has an option to "open URL", just find that and put that address in and see if they can do it any better.
EDIT: The stream that the player at that URL starts is this: http://striiming.trio.ee:8008/elmar.mp3?stream=elmar&format=mp3. I tried that in WMP as well, it said the file was corrupt or in a format it couldn't play. Opera offered to open the file, and did play the music, but it only played the current track being streamed (that stream seems to serve up a rotation of ~3MB mp3's) once it finished downloading the whole mp3.

Well, for some reason, I'm not able to play any radio stations anymore. Please let me know what URLs work for you, so that I can test?

[Q] M4A Files in Music Player?

Hi all,
Just got a GTab this weekend and so far I've liked the device decently well. However, I've had some difficulty syncing music with it; I still haven't gotten everything working yet.
I've gotten it to recognize now most of my music collection but for some reason it's marking all the M4A files from iTunes as "Unknown Artist". Looks like it doesn't have any ability to read the tags on M4A files to grab the metadata. However, I was fairly sure Honeycomb could do this, since I had also put music on a Xoom previously and didn't have this problem.
Anyone know anything about this, or how it could be fixed?
Thanks.
Look for MediaFix on the market. I've had success with this - setting options to use the "User album artist" setting and "Slower update".
Do not check "update all tracks" as this will likely result in duplicate entries in the media database. A reboot of the phone may be required after running the fix.

[Q] Possible Bug with AOKP offline phone Search?

Hi all I notice this problem while using AOKP. I cant do offline phone search for any info that has anything to do with third party apps. But results for default Apps like contacts will not show up. For example, doing a search for Firefox bookmarks will show up with nothing. This is a problem since now when I search for music And want the music to show up under a third party app like playerpro it's won't show up. But if I search for the same song using the default music app, it'll show up. I hate and don't use the default google music apps and uninstalled it on AOKP so I want the search to work for playerpro. here are pictures to demonstrate this.
1) a offline search for a song will show up for the default google music app.
http://imgur.com/rf5B8zu
2) now making player pro searches available in the options stopped searches in google default music app
http://imgur.com/714Bfkj
3) i search for the name of a song and it won't automatically show up in player pro as result but for first party apps like google contact, you see that a number showed up under home.
http://imgur.com/fd0YmGA
4) now in order to get the results to show up, i have to search for something, then tap "Search phone" then search the item again. so hear i click "Search phone" then type home again and now the results show up. this is a bug, cause in stock android, the player pro results would show up on the first search without me making too many steps
http://imgur.com/2h3XJSv
As you can see, I've set up so it'll search using player pro but it's not working. But if I search for something else that would show up on default apps then click "search phone" then it'll work. Thats too many steps. On stock 4.2 , the offline search works perfectly for player pro. If i search for a song it'll show up first thing. I have tried clearing the media storage and deleting .nomedia files just to see of that would work even though I know that none of those are causing this problem. Anyone else having this problem? I think this is a bug on AOKP
