When installing this cab, I've noticed it places shortcuts in the Start honeycomb for the HTC apps (Twitter, People, Calendar, Music and Footprints). None of these shortcuts have icons assigned to them, so they look naff.
PS. I didn't notice the additional shortcuts before I installed the latest ROM.

Is there a way to have more than 20 icons, im greedy
Not sure if this is the same issue: Jamrecords works well on my phone; but after adding programs I can't delete them. Is that the same problem?

I've changed two apps in HTC Quick Launch today plugin: TomTom and Windows Live Seach instead of Action Screen and Camera. I've successfuly edited the xml files and saved over the ones burnt in rom (my custom Artemis rom has Quick Launch built-in).
So now the right applications run if I hit the second or third icon, but the icons are still the old ones. I tried to create bmp files from TomTom and Live Search icons, but they resulted very ugly and almost invisible. Finally I deleted them. I am very bad at graphical works... :-(
So I need help from someone more skilled in picture-editing: please create for me those 4 icons (normal and masked) for the two new apps!
Thanks a lot in advance!
cheers,
Hi,
while trying to rearrange my program screen (via creating new sub-folders and cut and paste the links to these new folders)
on the HTC HD2 I "lost" the icon for the HTC_Calender program
I now only have a white/blue general folder like icon now.
The link is working though, HTC Calender starts.
Anybody knows, how I can rearange the correct icon for the link ?
The icon itself seems to be apparent in the /windows folder
as HTC_calendar.?
Thx for help
gersi
Try a soft reset, if you haven't done one yet.
Install the program JWMD Icon Changer and find the calender icon and select it to load to default icon.
I just installed the official ROM for Topaz which brings us Sense 2.5. Now, I have changed all my icons on the whole phone to new ones but when I add one as quicklink in Sense it just shows the default one.
What can I do about this?
ArtieQ, you can find the icon path for the quick links in File Explorer->Application Data->HTC->ProgramLauncher. Those override the icons in the start menu. That would be one place to start. You could try deleting the default icon there and the icon you are using in your start menu should work. Be sure to backup/copy the default before deleting it.
The icons that don't show up is not in the ProgLauncher folder, why's that? Can't seem to fix this..
The way I've done it in the past is to delete the icon in programlauncher. HTC presets those icons to appear in quicklinks for the programs listed in that folder. All other programs use the icon in the startmenu. If you install new icons, they will not go into the programlauncher folder. So, if you see the icon you installed in the startmenu try deleting the associated default icon in programlauncher. For example, I wanted to use the google maps icon in the startmenu instead of the default one used by HTC in quicklinks. So I deleted the googlemaps icon in programlauncher and it then defaulted to the one in my startmenu.
Well i notice all the apps shortcuts have been gone when you install a new ROM. Is there anyway i could get the music icon or tweeter icon to my shortcut app launch? i really will love to have those shortcut back to my square boxes. thanks
Launch Cookie's Home Tab Editor and "export settings". Make sure you save the file to your storage card.
Then re-import the settings after you've finished the Flash.
I hoping someone out there could help me out. I'm trying to figure the path from icon to application that the icons on the slider have. Some icons on the slider, (photos & videos, sprint navigation, etc..) when picked, take you to a different looking version of that application versus click on the icons in the programs list. What I'm trying to figure out is, where or how do I find what application the icons on the slider are linked to, by path or otherwise. If you could provide me with any help, I would appreciate it.
Thanks
Sense 2.5? Cookies Home Tab Editor allows you to change what applications launch with some of the slider tabs (along with a bunch of other awesome customizations).
You will need to have both Cookies Home Tab, and the Editor installed.

I'm not trying to change the applications that the slider icons open, I'm trying to find out the path that the slider icons have.
