As far as mymobiler, once you fire up the windows side client, it pushes the WM side automagically via activesync. Hitting the left softkey should accept the default install location of /device.

Problem with the Custom Buttons

Only thing I have not been able to recover since the SP1 update
The two custom buttons for opening the Snapview control application and the Screen resolution switcher are dead.
I've gone through the HTC folder and can't find anything to reactivate these buttons or assign them to the correct apps.
Anyone else notice this?

No, It's working here
No problems with mine either. sorry.
Execute \program files\htc\control\setup.exe . It will remap the buttons....
hmmm. strange. Ran it several times (once right after the update, once just now) and still no effect.
Buttons are still dead. Maybe something else is conflicting with it.
Pretty vanilla setup. Nothing added after the SP1 update (done using Windows Update).
Office 2007 installed. Bitdefender AV.
Only slightly off thing I am running is Firefox 3b4
Buttons assignment
Remaping of buttons is not by Snapview!
Buttons are working as Synaptics touchpad directional buttons.
Run Synaptics control panel and there is remaping of buttons.
Go:
MOUSE properties-SETTINGS-BUTTONS-SCROLL UP BUTTON-CONFIGURE.
For "Start ControlCenter" Define
SCROLL LEFT BUTTON as START SELECTED APPLICATION - Program Files\HTC\ControlCenterLauncher.exe
For "Change resolution button" Define
SCROLL UP BUTTON as START SELECTED APPLICATION - Program Files\HTC\ResolutionSwitchLauncher.exe
It is not detailed tip - You must help myself a bit.
I did it on my Shift and is it fully working.
Awesome! That seems to have done it. Thanks!
As an added bonus, I now can configure the buttons to be anything I want. Very cool.
Directions
I am not sure in directions,
may be is it RIGHT and DOWN directions.
You must try it.

Tried GRemote?? Its working good (over wifi tho)
thanks will give it a try and get back to you. but is there a bluetooth solution
amazing software thanks.
but the hardware keyboard does works as if the square function key is pressed all the time and i cant disable it by pressing it. i have to use the on screen keyboard. any solution to this problem
also is there a way to make the touch area behave as left click by double tapping (like laptop touchpads)
the left click for xperia is just hold your finger on the screen and a circle will circle around the point pressed and open up a right click menu
can someone else confirm the keyboard problem. its driving me nuts.
btw im using touch-it 3.5
I confirm the hardware keyboard issue, works in [fn] mode all the time.
I use a program called Salling Clicker to control my computer. It can connect through bluetooth or wifi. It can control common media programs and does mouse and keyboard through scripts. This script was written for the TyTN but works on my TyTNII and my Xperia.

Setting Long_Send key as soft left key

As the topic states:
Is it possible to setup the Long_Send key press to act as the soft left key?
I am having problem with RDP in full screen that in order to exit full screen you need to press the left softkey which is not possible on the HD2 when RDP is in full screen mode.
I tried to use AEButton but it does not work on the recent wm 6.5.3 builds (it simply does not do anything if i assign the hardware buttons).
Thanks!.

To exit full screen in RDP, just press the Home button to go back to Sense. Then (assuming you use some kind of task manager) you can just go back to RDP and it's no longer full screen.
Not the answer you asked for, but an answer. Hope it helps

Thanks for the tip but it does not work on my HD2.
I click home then use task manager to go back to RDP and it is still in full screen mode.
Anyone has a clue for my initial questions?

Very strange, as it works for me. This issue bugged me for a while till I found that workaround. Only difference is that I use TouchX Task Manager, not the windows one.
Ah well - hope you get something sorted.
It is just amazing that windows mobile does not have any other RDP client that is touch screen only friendly (i.e. you can pull up on the on screen keyboard without having to go through so much trouble).

Remote Desktop Mobile - Show keyboard during full screen?

Does anyone know how to show the software keyboard during a remote desktop session that is running in full screen mode?
I second this,
does anybody know how, i have connected to my work TerminalServer in full screen landscape, but cannot get a keyboard!!!
any ideas please
i wish to keep using Remote Desktop Mobile!
don't use full screen...
then it's almost fullscreen but with the little icon for the keyboard on the bottom.
I had the same problem. and this worked for me.
i just activate the virtual keyboard of windows when i remote control my computer (go to start --> all programs --> accessories --> Ease of Access (ore sth. like that i dunno the english term) --> onscreen keyboard.
altough, this keyboard is pretty hard to use because it's very small.
I'm desperately trying to find this out too. If you don't run in full screen, you have the big black bar across the top and the big black bar across the bottom. You waste loads of screen space, plus when trying to close a program you often end up hitting the "ok/x" button of win mo. Does anyone have any experience with remote desktop mobile? Any reg tweaks to show a keyboard button?
i haven't tried this myself, but this SHOULD work in theory...
map a button (go to Settings->Personal->Buttons) to "<Input Panel>" (should be at the top of the list of mappable items). i guess only the Send key's Long Hold will be available for most people for mapping purposes...
once mapped to a hardware button of your choice, fire up remote desktop in fullscreen mode and give that button a press...see if the windows mobile on-screen keyboard pops up...
let us know what happens...cheers from pakistan!

I tried this; however the keyboard flashes momentarily and refuses to remain.
try zaDesktop (free), which imo works much better: more configuration options, including screen resolution setting (up 10 1024x768), plus easy access to keyboard - long press on the screen during session and choose "Show keyboard" (see attached pic)
as for Remote Desktop Mobile, the last resort is using PC Windows on-screen keyboard, but it's not that convenient
i have it linked to the gsensor to rotate the screen, then just rotating my phone allows me to call up the keyboard.
