Hey guys.
I'm wondering if it's possible to buy a Leo in Japan and use it here in Denmark?
I'm planning to use it with the company 3. They usually run on a 3G network but can operate on the GSM network to.

Softbank X01HT same as HTC TyTN???

I need to set up a Softbank X01HT for a customer who needs to be able to make video calls here on the Rogers network. I know this is capable with the HTC tyTn as i have done it in the past. My question is....on most sites i can find, it says the X01HT only suports UMTS. On these same sites, they say that the TyTn supports HSDPA (which i know Rogers uses in Canada). If i put all the correct settings into the Softbank, can it access the Rogers HSDPA network and make video calls (Rogers is currently running on HSDPA 1900)?? Because as im aware, UMTS runs on 2100mhz, and we dont have that frequency here in Canada. Or.....do i need to flash this Softbank with an HTC TyTn ROM in order to enable HSDPA??? OR...is there a .cab file that i need to install in order to enable 1900mhz/850mhz HSDPA???

Virgin Mobile Australia on Vodafone Germany HTC Magic?

Hi guys,
I own a 32B HTC Magic (from Vodafone Germany), and have been able to use my Virgin Mobile (Australia) SIM card, but have only 1 issue, I can't seem to get 3G working.
I know I have a 3G capable SIM, because it has been used on a Nokia 6110 Navigator at full HSDPA speeds. I'm curious, is there a strange lock that ensures that I can only access 2G and WLAN networks? Is there a work-around that I need to sort out to get access to 3G?
Thank you

...in Japan.

I wonder, does anyone know if I'm able to use an unlocked HD2 (International (if that's accurate)) in Japan, if I pop a Softbank/Au simcard in?
私のオープンHD2(国際的)に日本以てSoftbank/auは大丈夫でか? ごめんなさい日本語よこ話せません。
You can use softbank sim and NTT DOCOMO sim.
Softbank or NTT Docomo is better.
AU is not recommended.
Cheers, I'll possibly not be able to use Softbank, the missus swears by Au and DoCoMo are rather expensive, I was just wondering about the bands on the HD2, if it's a Quad-band.
Yes, HD2 supports Softbank's networks in Japan, at least I was able to connect it while roaming in Japan.
Don't take my words for granted but afaik, softbank phones are sim-locked to softbank sims only while softbank sims can work on softbank and non-softbank phones.
However, you as a softbank subscriber may have problems sending out and receiving email/MMS and may also be charged for data usage instead if you were to use a non-softbank phone unless you know the settings/get a custom softbank firmware
This thread below, tho old, may be helpful for you as it offers a software workaround.

Thanks for your advice. My crappy-iPhone was locked to Softbank, I can use any sim-card, but whenever I upgrade, I need to put the old sim-card in.
I guess I'll just take it with me, if it doesn't work, I'll order one that does.
Thanks for your time guys
