OK, so I probably did something stupid, but I was messing around with the opera mobile 10 beta and installed the auto rotation cab only to find that the rotation for the default opera 9.7 stopped working, so I removed the rotation cab and it didn't fix it
I then reinstalled the cab for opera 10 auto rotation, only to find that now it doesn't work in opera 10 either!
Is there any way to fix this as the only browser I have now with auto rotation is internet explorer. What registry keys do I need to fix?
i've noticed that the "background for all tabs" would also break the rotation function in opera. did you install this tweak? if yes, remove it!
I have the background for all tabs level 0 cab installed and the rotation was working fine with it before, I am using the stock O2 uk 1.43 rom.

guys, I got a problem with my Opera on my HD that when I was surfing the web in landscape position, when I clicked "My Favorite" , the favorite would appear in Portrait and hang for seconds. and still can't display in landscape. anyone knows why? or I have unfortunately found a bug?
My system:
TF3D 1.3.35601.1_1630.38 (Chinese Traditional ROM)(official)
Opera (build-in) 9.5 (2808)
Gyrator is not assigned to work in Opera (actually I just turn on Gyrator on designated programs)
Hi,
I have this annoying problem with my Touch HD. I've used 2 programs for auto-rotating my screen. E.G. Gyrator 2 and MobileMagic. With both programs the application closes when i tilt my screen landscape. I think its a reg setting or a other application that is preventing me to turn my applications. Out of the box it works with TomTom and other stuff but once installed 2 of the above application to turn it blocks
Any body got an idea?

Duttys V2.1 Xtreme ROM uses a new manila format and he has included a Enable Landscape cab for this ROM.
Why not try his ROM?
Out of the box it should only really be turning pictures in Album and webpages in opera. Did you buy secondhand from ebay?
Nope. Just bought it from a legal store in the netherlands. Without any software on it. Then the first thing was install TomTom, tilt the screen et voila rotate!
Do the apps close or minimize? Does Opera still rotate?
More importantly, did you dl and install a color top bar (if so, there's your problem)
Yes i installed a color top bar! Removed it and tada ther it is. Its working again!
Thank you very much!
Hi there!
I have been searching for a solution to this problem for quite some time now but I haven't found a solution... Maybe someone here has an idea?
I want to lock my device in landscape mode! I don't want it to rotate to portrait mode in any circumstance! But I just seem to be unable to do so...
I'm running Duttys 2.6 and disabled flip-it, which got rid of any auto-rotation in manila and most other programs, but two problems remain:
1) Whenever I switch from a program back to TouchFlo (hitting the home-key for example), the display switches back to portrait instead of staying in landscape.
2) Opera always does what it wants and I haven't found any solution that would enable me to disable auto-rotation in Opera.
The second problem is not a biggie... I could live with Opera rotating. But the first one is driving me mad! I always have to rotate the screen again after everytime I visit TouchFlo!
So... Any ideas?
Thanks in advance!

Not sure if this would work, but why not enable FlipIt and have everything set @ 270 degrees and untick 0 degrees
Other alternatives would be g-sen & gyrator and try and disable 0 degrees or portrait
Obviously certain apps won't work in landscape and aren't designed to so you will always have times when you need portrait
Let me know if this worked

Damn... that's such a smooth solution... and it actually works!
Why on earth didn't I think of this???
Thanks a bunch!
Ok - I'm back with a new request...
I want to be able to rotate the device manually - right now, rotating it manually works flawlessly. I assigned one of the customizable gestures of WkTask to rotate.
But I still have the first problem I have described in my opening post: Whenever I switch back to TF3D or between running apps, my HD switches back to portrait!
Any ideas?
I have searched around the forum but I've only found threads discussing landscape mode with the old manila version - but I'm running Dutty's 3 XT with the new manila!
And ofcourse I would be very thankful for any advice on how to disable rotation in Opera - even though this is not that much of a problem...
maybe if you go into settings of flip-it and goto manila.exe and untick 0degrees and only 270degrees ticked, if you do this with all the apps in the list and put the exe files of other programs you use alot in it manually and also untick 0 and tick 270, then everything should stay in landscape and cant go to portrait. hope this works for you, test it and let us know

But I want to be able to rotate to portrait too!
Keeping everything in landscape works fine with the solution Fallen Spartan posted - but I want to be able to manually rotate between Landscape and Portrait!
Hi I have Dutty's 4.1 final ROM installed it works fine but I want to disable auto rotate via gsensor apart from in opera, when you turn off gsensor in the settings menu it dosent seem to have an effect. Where I find this most annoying is when using file explorer and tomtom (every bump makes the screen rotate), I don't want to disable the gsensor as programs which are ment to use it I still want them to use it. I just want it to behave like it should do i.e. in the official rom or topix rom(can't install this as it dosent have sqlce3.5 )
Have you tried rotate software including gyrator, changecreen or FlipIt?
Hi all... my HD2 seems to have developed a very annoying problem that I don't seem to be able to figure out.
I think I have introduced it by having both BSB tweaks and Gav's Touch Tools installed but basically all of the rotating sense screens will not rotate. I first noticed this when I was using Copilot and had the software set to detect device settings (for rotation)..... nothing happened. I worked around this by using Gyrator but thats not ideal... I played around with the rotation settings in BSB and Gav's but to no avail... so I deleted all the settings in each.... again no difference.
I tried uninstalling both apps and Gyrator and again, no luck... I've tried different combinations of software and resetting their settings but again no change. With Gyrator installed the screen will rotate but in the case of say the Music player the potrait view is simply split to a side by side portrait view rather than the sliding album art view.
In the album view, again this does not display correctly and appears to be a shrunken portrait view displayed in landscape. In some cases rotation is fine, for example Kimodo Player.
Somewhere along the line I seem to have introduced this problem and removing or installing various rotation apps makes no difference. As a last resort I suppose I may have to hard reset?
In the case of BSB and Gav's I did delete all the rotated app settings, could this be the problem.... even if BSB or Gavs has been installed? Is there anyway I can get back to their default settings?
I am using
Manilla 2.5.2012 and Rom 2.13.531 Artemis 17.0 WWE
(by the way I have searched the forums but couldn't find anything specifically like this problem).
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
If I had to guess I'd say its to do with registry entries being altered then not put back to default when uninstalling / deleting settings and or conflict between apps affectimg rotation.
Don't hard reset just yet I'm sure toil get an answer.
Think I have fixed it... disable rotation in BSB and installed TX_Total_Landscape.cab from here... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=631049
I think it has just reset the registry settings.
