s there a time delay in SMS when receive friend sms? - HD2 General

do anyone sms ur friend
is there a time delay?? sometime i send sms it show time 12.00
but my friend reply is time 11.58
2min earlier when i send out sms on time 12.00

Then your friends clock is not correct, because the sms uses the senders time as timestamp. when your clock is set to 12:00 the sms says "sent at 12:00" but when your friends clock is 5 minutes behind or so, then this would happen.

isit???
this dont happen to htc diamond.. when i use..

hi
after testing i think wha u say is correct it realy basic on the sender clock
but in other case it shouldnt be set like tht as everyone time is incorrect..
and it only can sort by time or name..
like tht it will mess up the whole sms

Try df_timestamp_fix fix, i think it works

Sms times?

I got my x1 a few days ago and I'm in love with it, but the sms bugs me a bit. When ever I receive text's from my friends the time is always wrong. Is there anyway to fix this?
maybe you configured the wrong time zone! take at look at this setting
everything is set to the correct times except for the recieved text time.
Is it just the hour which is incorrect? If so, are they in a different time zone? Whenever I get a text from my international friends, the time displayed is the current time where they are located.
yes, its just the hour that is incorrect and all the text i get from from local friends
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=3140215
the reg editor im using is PHM regedit if you dont have one already
thanks!
also is there a way to make the phone display the time when you missed a call?
i have noticed that the time displayed when receving an sms, it shows the time as per the senders phone time.

Automatically SMS sending program...

I am searching for program for my xperia which is capable of sending sms automatically to a definend number with a defined text
this should happen in a defined time space, for example every 10 or every 75 minutes
i searched in the forum for a program like this but was not able to find one.
Anybody knows one?
would be great!
Thx a lot!
i use power sms to schedule sms sending......maybe it can do this repeated sending as well

thanks, I downloaded it, great tool but can not send many in a defined time laps.
why would you want to send so many texts to one number?
Here in Vienna we have a parking systemwhere we can send an sms and then park for 60 minutes
as I want to park longer, i want my Xperia to send for example 3 sms after every 61 minutes so I can not forget to send another sms to get another parking ticket
A little late, but i think RJV SMS Scheduler is the key... hehehe
hm, how should it work
can not find any settings which send some sms in a defined time window...
use autoSMS
http://forum.xda-developers.com/archive/index.php/t-478649.html
its not updated but works rather well
i tried it today, but the program does not work properly on my xperia, i am sorry
not a single sms is send....
post a question there. he might update it
last time i used it it worked fine
I think SK Schema will do what you need plus a lot more.

Alternate SMS feature

Hi,
The SMS program (the gray/black one included on a stock Rhodium) is really buggy for me - dates/times being mixed up.
Example;
I send an SMS at 12:00 to my friend.
My friend then responds at 12:01 - but it shows up as if he had responded a few minutes earlier then the time that I sent the first message, say, 11:57
It's really wierd, and I'm not sure whats causing this.
All I do know is that I can't have this, seing how I text message _alot_.
Any suggestions on how to fix this, or how to get rid of the Rhodium SMS interface, back to the functional WM SMS interface?
Thanks!
EDIT: If you don't understand the problem, I'll make a video to demonstrate better.
I have the same problem, i dont really care but its strange anyway...
Are you sure that bot your phone and your friends phone are at the exact time?
Some phone don't write the time at which you receive the SMS but the time when you friend's send the SMS based on the time of his phone and sometime it takes the time of the server that relay the SMS
yup I had my GF adjust her clock so they are in sync. then no more problems!
I may be wrong here but, I think it does this when you text through the tf3d sms. When you read the message on the touch flo screen tap the all messages tab on the bottom left and text back that way. Then see if it still happens.
I'm not a huge texting fanatic but this is how I do all my texting. Through tf3d it doesn't do auto capitalization and such. At least I haven't found a way to do it.
Yes, thats what happens.

I also prefered the 'old', standard WM SMSinterface rather than this new one, due to this bug - and the lack of auto capitalization.
What would one do to disable the new tf3d smsinterface, and just go straight to the WM one?
Tapping the "all messages" tab on the bottom left just gets annoying after some time, and I really don't prefer it.
Are we looking forward to a ROMupdate from HTC anytime soon, hms?

I synchronized my phones time with my girlfriends phone, and this still occurs - but only with the TF3D SMS program, not the WM one.
It's freaking me out.
I for example had a diferent problem. Someone sends me a message for example 13:56 and I only receive the message later, after I turn on the phone from standby. Calls sometimes give me unavailable. With my older mobile phone I didn't had any problem with that. I was thinking that the radio update will sort out the problem, but no good. Still the same problem. A big lag between send messages and received. Anyone know the cause. I had also the same problem in my Asus P535 but it fixed someway. Even with the phone connected, some times I need to make a call or activate the 3G GSM connection to receive the notification of the message.

Texting Issues (sense 2.5)

I'm not sure if this has been addressed but if it has im sorry. Anyways everytime i receive a text, it always has the wrong timestamp.. for example my friend in sydney messages me in sydney at 11:00am, ill receive it a couple of minutes later but the stamp will be 10:00am (and ive checked the time on his phone) and this may seem rather harmless but after 5 or 6 texts each way it becomes a bother to constantly scroll up and read his new messages.
Secondly, everytime i open the messaging client in sense and try to 'tap to compose text' it takes several texts and then the htc keyboard just puts out numbers and symbols instead of letters.. which is fixed temporarily with a restart of sense.
same here!
i have the same trouble!! anyhelp any1
check your timezone settings in the phone, they need to match your friends. Perhaps you got the right settings (consider daylight savings if you use them down there) but he has not?
If his or your timezone is set wrong, but time is set "right" messages with diffrent "zone" will show up wrong.
So make sure both your friend (if its only one person whos sms timestamp is wrong) and your own phone.
That should fix it for you.

SMS Limit at 1060 per contact?

I have one contact which has over 1000 sms record on my HD2. Today while i was replying to the contact sms, i saw that the messages count was only 2. I then went into All Messages and discover that i have the same contact person listed there. One with 1060 sms and another one with 2 sms.
If i click on the 1060 and it just go back to the sense message tab. If i click on the one with 2 sms, i could reply.
I'm wondering if 1060 is the max sms that HTC message app could handle.
If i switch to traditional mode, i can see all messages from that contact.
Anyone has the same problem?
i had a similar thing.. i write like 1k-1.3k sms in one month, most of it with my gf. the sms thread with her deleted itself after like 3 -5 months or so.. couldnt find the sms again.
this happened two times with my samsung omnia.. dont know if it will happen with the HD2 too.. we'll see in 2 months xD
maybe it will not happen so fast here cause it has more ROM than the omnia.. but maybe its fixed in the windows system >.< suxx a bit, but since then i back up my sms every week xD
and btw, im not using the htc messaging... dont like it :/
WOW
I didn't know some people could keep so many messages on their HD2...
What is the use? Contest maybe lol
Or maybe you need to read all the 1060 messages.... (hummm)
Seriously, I think it's not a real problem and we have to be pragmatic sometimes
Just erase messages from time to time like 95% of us all : it's the best fix
