Change Network Name ?

Hello,
I'm using my Universal in Brazil, and the networks names apper as numbers here:
72431, 72512, 72141 (examples)
I would like to change the display name to the real name of the network ("Oi", "Tim", "Claro" etc.)
Anyone?

That's somewhere in the Radio ROM. Not sure if you can extract the lookup file for that or if it is hardwired somewhere. You should make HTC aware of the issue.

Solution No 1 : you can put in your Windows catalog graphic file as logo of you provider (*.gif) named carrierlogo.gif so you can see proper name .
Solution No2 : upgrade radio rom ( I prefer v 1.09)

there is a thread on this in the Himalaya section. Afaik that still works on WM5.
search for 'networknames'
Its about setting some registry keys and you can get any text based on the operator 'numbers'in your screen.
The carrierlogo.gif trick is operator independent. No matter what the network id is, it will always show the same logo.

Rom 1.30.77 WWE.

Mobile OP name ???

hello,
I am with WM6 DarkForce /2.10.02 wwe/ and 1.15.00 Radio and have the next problem:
The name of my mobile operator is Vivatel /Bulgaria/ but phone OS recognize it only by op number - 28403. i found a registry key :
local machine\system\state\phone\current op name: 28403
and change it to: Vivatel. It works fine till phone off. after that again op number 28403. please help me to change this stupid number with real op name. 10x in advance
PS. with previuos versions of ROM /PDAVIET and offic WWE ROM the situation was the same/

any ideas ???

How to Flash
YOU HAVE TO Hard spl ypur Opal before.
Opal Hard-SPL
1.Connect your Opal with ActiveSync.
2.Double click CustomRUU.exe and follow the screen.
If you can't connect via ActiveSync , enter bootloader mode and flash instead.
Hold volume down + Action button + Soft reset , release the stylus only.
If you see the color screen , release the volume down + Action button.
Double click CustomRUU.exe to flash.

WWE , but Thai customized.
You can use as normal WWE , only set Regional setting to your location.

java does not work on this side try to install jar files using jblend and no go, they get installed but wont run

There was a trojan (Name of trojan DRP-BAT.SAA) detected attached with the file. My antimalware detected it and separated from file. During installation I got a message that the image file is corrupted. What could be the reason? That trojan which was removed???????

[SOLVED] IMEI not showing

Hi friends,
The IMEI in device info is dissapeared with the latest rom I cook.
(start/settings/system/device information/Phone identity)
I'm digging what it can be but didn't find it yet.
I've looked in the following packages:
* Manila settings
* Settings Improvement
Device info package is standard stock and also is htcutil, htcapplication, appservice.
The rom is 3.14 stock with a combination of Oboe packages.
Anyone has an idea where I should look?

Laurentius26, return back stock Settings Improvement to the kitchen.
Or play with the correspondent mui - maybe it works. I was going to play with mui by myself but still did not manage to find time for that
In the stock mui it's line # 1029 in String section - check the IMEI item in original Chinese mui from OBOE

Edit; I will translate the mui and attache it when done, it has a lot of new features.
Hopefully not to much for the double sim slot and band.
Edit2; attached the translated mui, it looks good.

coming from Chinees Oboe 1.18 stock rom.

Translated mui doesn't solve the imei issue.
Swopping the package to HD2 stock package does solve it.

Same solution, use settings improvement from HD2 stock rom, serial shows as well.

First of all many thing I don't get it If this thread is shown up here and I don't see it than don't make joke at me...
I don't know very well English but I love WM Anyway ... I bought a i-Mate JasJam HERM100
ROM version : 3.54.255.3
ROM date : 07/05/07
Radio version : 1.48.00.10
Protocol version : 32.81.7020.20H
ExtROM version : 3.54.255.104
All work perfect but my keys are sometimes block't the Bling the Light when I Push them but they don't Open the Programs
When I restart the Phone only once they work then not
(End Call,Apply Call,Ok Call,Internet,Message,Start and the right and left)
And sometimes when I push down or Up button it opens Internet Explorer
the others buttons Work Perfect
Can Anyone help or do I have to change Rom ...and PLS don't make jokes If I wrote something wrong
