Ericsson™ Labs has just released their Mobile Java Push API for Android™.
In Android™ 1.6 the intent android.provider.Telephony.SMS_RECEIVED is no longer an unordered broadcast thus allowing an application to stop an sms from reaching the inbox allowing push notification to be non intrusive to the user.
At the moment push sessions can only be initiated manually from their web-interface. A XML-RPC api will be released later for automated sending.

Android version 4.4.2 using stock messaging I get these annoying prompts when clicking on a hyperlink in a text message.
First message is:

"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
And then it asks:

Using a Note 4 on Marshmallow (Blisspop ROM) but I heard this is a common issue (according to Google)
For some reason, android says my SMS isn't sent, but the recipient actually gets them :/
