After installing CoPilot (maybe after installing a new version of Googlemaps ?) I have a problem with Footprints, suddenly disappeared from the Footprints menu item "Show on the map" and I have no connection with Googlemaps. What should I set to be able to move to the position on the map again ? Googlemaps is operating normally as a separate application.

When you go into the "Change Preferences" menu in TomTom and change one of the settings which can be turned on/off i.e. say 3d map, show/hide POI - TomTom takes you back to the main screen.
This is REALLY frustrating since if you want to make several changes you have to go through the whole process of:
1. Tap screen to get into Main Menu
2. Tap on "Change Preferences"
3. Tap to change relevant option
... for every single setting you want to change.
I have an O2 XDA EXEC and have seen this behaviour on both Version 5.0 and 5.21. I dont remember seeing this when I was running TomTom on my XDAIIi.
Anyone else noticed this? Is there a fix?
It's how TomTom v.5 works!
TomTom Navigator v.5 is just a half-hearted *bodge* on the code for their standalone TomTom Go products to get it to run on PocketPCs.
Due to long trying and experimenting with my bt gps i lost my shortcut of TT 5 on my today page. Is there anyone who can tell me how to put it back on, beaucouse when i want to start tt5 it's almost impossible to navigate the start menu with my fingertips.
I've allready tried to fix the problem with "settings/today/items", but Tomtom wasn't in the list anymore.
TT 5 starts perfectly from my startmenu, but i want my shortcut back.
Is there anyway who can tell me to solve this :?:
I've got a vario, and am currently running tomtom Nav5.21 on my ipaq, once i get hold of a bluetooth antenna, tomtom will be going on the vario.
This is not an uncommon problem with tomtom. There are however 2 ways arround your problem.
First way is to download the v5.21 patch from the tomtom website and re-install the .cab file, this will mean that tomtom is brought back to its origional settings. And the shortcut will re-appear on the screen.
If you have in any way customised the settings, you may have to set them up again (for example if you are familiar with tomtom, you'll have to turn off the guided tour stuff.) However things like any stored favorites or POI's will be unaffected by doing this, and will show up just like they did before.
The otherway is to go into start > settings > Personal > Buttons. From there you can re-assign one of the buttons to always start up tomtom, or indeed any application you want.
For example on my vario, button 5 is the Comm manager that allows me to turn on and off the wifi / bluetooth. As there is already a little icon at the bottom of the today screen that opens the comm manager I'll be reassigning the button to start TomTom.
In the TTN 5.1 update package are (if i remember correct) 3 cab files. One is just the Today plugin, you can tell it by its name
From TTN 5.21 onwards the plugin is IN the main cab, so you cant use this trick with that one.
the Todayplugin is the same for both versions
Alternatively you can use the HTCTODAY plugin i have modified (in 3 flavours) search on the forum.
Code:
use the HTCTODAY plugin
Searched for that, and this is the only post found.
Has anyone tried CommManagerPlus on Rhodium (cab attached) ? It can rotate screen, toggle wifi or bluetooth, change brightness, ec.. when opening an application. To do that, it creates a specific shortcut in the same folder of the application. You just have to move the shortcut in Start Menu afterwards.
I cannot toggle wifi with it (I have WM6.5, RomeOs rom). Does it work for others ? Or do you know of any means to put wifi on when e.g. opening Opera Mini ?

How to change navigation app in footprints?
There are 2 navigation apps installed (factory) in my HTC HD2 - google maps and Navitel.
If I press navigation button in footprint's photo it calls Navitel and often it can't find the point on the map. Only map of Russia installed. But google maps is much better as it can find any navigation point from photo.
I need to change default navigation program which called from footprints, but can't find how to change.

I use McGuider for navigation and removed the Copilot application. I like to see that this change has effect in all options. This means that I like to start McGuider from the Navipanel. Also I like to start McGuider (instead of Copilot) from the Footprints application. Wo knows how to achieve this?
