How to Fix contacts screen - HD2 General

The 3x3 contacts/people tab is nice but its so annoying that the bottom three contacts are cut off by HTC’s slider, so you have to scroll.. is it possible to remove the title at the top of the screen which says “People” in order to shift the 3x3 grid up the screen. Thanks

what would be even nicer is a 4 column version instead of the 3 column one.

TouchFlo home screen

I like a lot the standard clock, the one with big white squares. But sometimes those squares disappear, and I am left with just small white letters. Soft reset takes care of it, but is there an easier way to get standard clock back? And why does it go away to begin with? Thanks
On the Homescreen, run your finger from top to bottom which should scroll the big clock back.

To follow on from Mal's point...
(this might be obvouos but just-in-caase)
You might notice when the clock is big there's a small downwards pointing white triange below the bottom calandar entry.
if you happen to swipe upwards the clock changes to just digits
and an upwards pointing triange apperas just above call history
swiping downwards reverts back to a big clock
Thanks a lot to both responders

scrolling the tiny calendar appointment window

This is one that I'd really like to see a fix for. It was in WP5 and now in WP6. When I click on a specific appointment from the calendar, it brings up a nice full screen, except the appointment only shows wrapped over 2 lines. If the appointment is longer than that it doesn't even give me a clue until I tap on the words, then it shows a vertical scroll bar.
But why? There is so much room there, how come it doesn't show as much as it can on the screen? Is there any way to increase the 2 lines default?
Thank you for any ideas.

widget request, horizontal single row sense 'people' widget?

The Sense single column people widget that can be added to the homescreen is vertical. I would love it to be horizontal. All of the other widgets that I would put it together with are horizontal rectangles so it doesn't fit. And I don't want to use up a whole home screen with the full size widget.
Launch-X Pro could be used. You could add just contacts to it and flick through their pics side to side and choose to open their contact card/phone/text them.

Cool page swipe action

I was just reading the latest gossip on Nexus phones. Saw a home screen shot of a page of icons and the icons looked slanted. Then it hit me - instead of swiping from screen to screen, what if the block icons (apps) just appear to individually rotate to the icon in that same position on the next page! Or put another way, the flat icon is actually a four sided box and only one side shows at a time. Swipe and all the boxes rotate to the next side you swipe toward. A widget would seem to rotate and morph into whatever is on the next home screen page!
That might look pretty 'fresh' compared to the current way of screen refresh we now know.?.
Sound promising?
So basically, like a Rubik's cube? Or am I picturing it wrong?
Yep. Looks like the icon of a specific app rotates as it was a cube. Are we right?

No Galaxy Labs in Nougat/ would like lower app bar 'gone', invisible icon work-around

So I've looked around for some time for a reasonable method to install Galaxy Labs on my rooted 8+ Galaxy S7 SM-G930, now a '955F' after the 8+ rom install. This rom works very smoothly so far.
Not finding a simple method, I hope someone comes up with one though (?), I went with a simple invisible icon method I've been using for some years for other phones.
The process is pretty simple:
1. Download IconChanger - free on Google Play store.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jy.iconchanger.ad&hl=en
2. Make a 1 pixel x 1 pixel, 72 dpi, transparent gif, and label it something like 'blank.gif' and get it into your phone downloads (SD card) directory.
3. Open up Icon Changer, tap the center of the screen and it will take you to the Applications screen of apps you have installed on your phone.
4. Select the app you wish to make a new icon. The screen will update to the apps icon at the top of the page. Select "Change" and navigate to where you stored the blank.gif. Select that .gif
5. The screen will update, any on my phone it is a white screen. You will not see your transparent gif. Select 'Crop' at the top right of the screen. The page will update back to the initial Icon/Title screen, and you will notice that the icon is transparent, looking like a white and gray checker board. See photo 1 below.
6. Select the title, and if you wish to have a visible title for the Icon, type in what you wish. If you wish no visible title, delete out the text. Press OK at the top right and the icon will take a few seconds to be created and placed on your home screen.
The third image has the transparent icons, in the same place as the original screen shot.
Tip: It will help if you have your home screen and it's next over screen generally filled up with icons at the beginning of this process, leaving several blank rows at the top of one of those screens, the new icon will likely be placed at the top left corner of that, or one of those pages. You can select and place it as you wish. If your home screen and other pages are largely empty, it make take you a bit to hunt and peck to find your icon.
Additionally, a 1 x 1, 72 dpi pixel size icon is very small. Unless you really expand it in a photo editor, you will not 'see' it.
