this would really be a good feature.. the photo album is still the most primitive thing left on our ppc

Once I'm done with my Melody player, a photo album using it's routines, will be my next project. Unless someone comes along and does it before me .

take a look .....work on some other devices too...

i downloaded the file & installed on my Eten Glofiish M700
it installed successfully & shows icon in program list
but when i click th icon nothing happens .. no albubm program starts???
does it work on other devices with WM6 or only HTC??
any tricks to make it work on mine?
i did install on main memory

go and check out pocketcm image viewer, it is just a test viewer but it is definitely usefull!
currently its at the 0.3 version

I think you need camera 4.1 for it to run successfully.

ive heard a lot about camera 4.1, but i what is it exactly, is it like a driver or the camera software?

Hi,
Anyone seen/got the new HTC Album program? Ive managed to get the keyboard and randomaccess (contacts upgrade) programs but cant find the album anywhere...
Shame - coz it looks well cool!

If you would be so kind as to post some screenies......

Try installing it on Phone Memory instead of Storage.
Fixed it for me and now it's working.

but one question, when using it, do you guys see a white "Box" in the left corner of the screen (i know that when you touch in that box, you see the options for htc album) is it supposed to be like that?
another thing is that the sliding from picture to picture is just slightly difficult to do?
but thatmight just be my device, or maybe I need to setup the sensablility of the app.

HTC Album gestures problem

Hi,
I have installed HTC album on my gene, but i am not able to use any of the finger gestures. Any idea what is wrong or what should i do to make gestures work?

It seems not to work on the Gene. Ive also tried all the variation out there,I'll stick to Resco Photo Viewer......

HTC Album freezes Xperia

Hello,
I recently installed the HTC album cab from this thread:

When I start the album, my whole Xperia freezes.
Pressing the panel button is the only thing that allows me to leave the album.
Does anyone know some kind of solution for this problem?

Same here, Album is unusable like this. It loads the first 10 pics or so, then just freezes.
I tried softreset, etc. didn't help.

so, is there anyone who has the HTC album up and running without problems?

I've never used the HTC album but if you have all your cabs in one place, just hard reset and install everything again. Fixed a couple programs for me.

Yep I think that fixes the album problems once and for all.

i have install tf3d cab on my danish rom and the album still freeze

Sounds like "Doctor, it hurts when i do this!" Touch Flo 3D seems to put a serious performance hit on the Xperia, although I don't know if it's better now I flashed my rom to the newest version. Maybe try another viewer?

It's not just your Xperia... it does the same on my Touch HD.
Tried the cab file you mentioned *appers* to have fixed it!

When in full-screen HTC albums v3 automatically fits the photo in landscape or portrait view depending on the photo's orientation.
But sometimes it is anoying.
I want to keep viewing photos in portrait.How ？

It's the way the newer version of album are coded. You could try to find an old version of Album that did not have that behavior (though they may be all VGA packages since they're OLD). I don't know if any WVGA devices ever had that functionality. I think they were Album 2.x and the new way of doing it (landscape) started with Album 3.x, but I can't really remember.
edit - just saw you're porting it, so the vga packages should be ok. Look for an Raphael or Diamond ROM and dump that. They should have Album 2.x and should stay in portrait.

But I find there's a setting for portraite mode in viewing images in the xml file. So I am wandering if there's a way to set it to portraite mode using register or something.

Unless you can re-write HTC's code in album.exe, I would think yes. I've attached a version I think works in portrait all of the time. It's VGA and has the facebook/youtube upload in it (I think, been awhile since I used it on a VGA device...).

This doesnt work on mine.What's your device and what's your version?

this is the package in my kitchen. I cooked for Diamond. Are you sure you set best_fit to "0" not to "1"?
I didnt test it on HD2, because i like the fullscreen view there..

Yes, I add what you give me to the register file of album.
But nothing happend.When viewing photos in fullscreen, the controls appeare in landscape mode.
The setting changes slidshow or fullscreen?
