I installed s2v as a photo viewer and the scrolling is great. However, when I'm trying to assign photos to contacts, it tends to freeze up therefore not properly saving my photo to that particular contact.
Is there anything I can to do fix this freeze?
I use s2u2 and like the fullscreen photo caller id....but, the photos look blurry if I use them straight from my photo album.
So I took the advice and am trying to install them from s2v and have run into this freezing issue.
Help!
Hi!
Just recieved my HD2 and being a noob to this device, I presumed that if you flipped the device into landscape, the Album would rotate into landscape mode. Do I have to set anything up on the device to enable this?
Regards,
Alan
Have a look at the wonderful BsB Tweaks app. That has a menu option in there to allow rotation for the app(s) of your choice.
A quick search of the themes and apps section should find it.
I thought the album was already landscape???
I've assumed that he means when you click the "Albums" softkey. I seem to remember having to set mine up to rotate that, but could be wrong.
Albums flops between landcape and portraid whenever I do. I thought it was the deafult action ion both the 1.43 and 1.48 ROM and I haven't fopen anything I can rememebr to change it. This is to do with the arrangement of thumbnails. If the question is really about flipping the pictures in the album to Landscape then that's totally different
What I meant is that in some of the videos I had seen on the HD2, when the guy rotated the device in the album, it went into landscape mode (riverflow or something like that). I think that the music tab did the same....
They don't need setting up - they just work. (They do for me anyway)
That's photos and videos, available from your Home Screen Tabs and not Albums.
Well, I have tried it from the Album tab and the Album application and it does not rotate.....

Click to collapse
What do you mean by album tab? Do you mean Photos & Videos?
The tab on the bottom of the screen... with the photo icon.... next to the music tab....

Yeah - that's photos & videos, not albums. #9Just to clear that up )
I take it you're holding the phone upright when you do this?
Sorry to ask that, but it's the only thing I can think of!
When you get into Photos and videos you just twist the phone, don't click on Albums or slideshow. Just in case their was any more confusion.
Thanks guys... I have sorted it.... it works now!

how did you figure it out? what did you do?
How comes pics don't roatate in landscape if you take them in potrait and visa versa? a la the iPhone? I took a picture in potrait and rotated my phone in landscape and nothing happened.
Is there a way to get all of the photos when viewing with the gallery to fill the screen without having to switch to landscape mode?
On my windows phone, using HTC's album viewer and scrolling thru the pics, they always were rotated the correct way as to fill the screen without having to rotate the phone, whether they were taken as portrait of landscape pictures.
This is a bit annoying.
Oh, and a second question, how about a way to make the gallery go into camera shots by default when I push the gallery shortcut.
Thanks all wise android gurus.
I'm sure this has been asked before, but searching the forum for "picture orientation," "photo orientation," etc. yielded irrelevant results...so here goes. I have the S4 GPE. When I take pictures in portrait mode and view them in Gallery, pictures are properly rotated. If I move the picture to SD card, then gallery and other apps, such as ES file manager, show the picture with the incorrect orientation - i.e. everything is in landscape.
If I move the picture back to internal memory, the picture is correctly displayed in gallery once again. Emailing pictures to myself, both in portrait orientation, but one in SD card and the other in internal memory, both pictures are correctly displayed when viewed on the computer receiving the email. Obviously the rotation tag is properly recorded in the picture but Gallery and other apps don't seem able to read the tag correctly while the picture is in the SD card - looking under Details in Gallery show orientation 90 for pictures taken in portrait that are in internal memory and 0 for the same picture once it has been moved to SD card...any guesses/tips on how to correct this?
I could have sworn it was working before. Here's the problem...
When looking at a specific picture, the screen won't auto rotate, but when I go back to look at the gallery, it does rotate. Anyone else have this problem??
For example, I am looking for a picture in my gallery, I click on it to maximize, it does, but then doesn't rotate. , If I go back, it will rotate. Very frustrating!
