Hello,
How can I change hight of my keyboard in HTC HD (I want to reduce it about 1 cm).
Thanks
Use FingerKeyboard (search for it in the themes section)! It offers the option to hide the bottom bar when using the keyboard, moving the whole thing down quite a bit! Also, FingerKeyboard is skinnable - you can create your own layout!

I want to thank Idostang for his great theme here. I wanted to just personalise it a bit for my own style and probs go out to his awesome work.
Fully landscape and SPB 2.12 compatible.
Things I changed:
- Left to right gestures for now, launcher and mru screen
- Left to right gesture for three contacts pages
- Added data connection icon to the top of the now screen
- Changed the top bar in the launcher, mru and contacts page
- Added the option of using the backlight feature in SPB shell to the now and mru pages
- Removed the additional digital clocks in the analog screen (why have digital when you analog?)
I hope you enjoy this and feel free to feedback all!
This is GREAT! Is there any chance that you could convert to 320x320?
I'm not the origonal author and so didn't setup all of the pictures etc, you would have to refer to my link for the origonal author.
Savok,
First of all, great tweaks to the theme!
One thing, I noticed on your screenshot, that the contacts page has the bottom right corner button for opening the phone book... but mine doesn't have that... any idea why? And where do I change that in the qa_layouts file?
Love this skin, but I love to see two changes:
First, I'd like the backlight setting up where the weather icon is, and the weather icon back down where the Backlight is.
Two, I'd love a calendar page in place of the MRU.
How easy would it be to do those two things?
Oh, and can we use themes with this?
We all find a lot of very interesting software in this forum which at the moment is far superior to what Microsoft or the vendors come up with.
The thing that bothers me (personally) a bit is the non-uniformity of all the applications offered. One application is doing nice pulldown menus with custom based settings while the other is doing the native windows thingy.. If we could work out a standard "framework", this way we spare ourselves the work of re-inventing the wheel over and over again and we can focus on the actual functionality.
Here some examples of what could be done:
- Default way of browsing files (kinetic scrolling list, like throttle launcher)
- Default listbox (see 1st)
- Semi Transparent keyboard (to see what you're typing through the KB)
- Transparent scrollbars (like the omnia viewer)
- Transparent menu's
- Look for active today screen and adapt wallpaper (Manilla, 2day, etc.)
- Sizeable custom title bars (for big screens or small screens)
- Resolution aware (no pixels but %'s)
- Tilt Sensor / Accelerometer abstraction
- Uniform but skinable (skin will be used for every app based on this famework)
- Etc.
Is there somewhere being worked on this kind of thing? I was thinking in making some open source re-usable classes in which we can put it all.. I don't say I can do this (alone) but if we make it a group effort it could be a very nice concept imho..
Hi!
I like wm6.1 standard today screen, I have all necessery informations in one place, but it is extremly not confortable to use it by fingers. So, maybe some can build today plugin like this, prepered by me in Fireworks. Positions are high twice, and letters fonts are bigger.
It's not a app or theme. Just go to: Options > System tab > Screen and change default text font size
yes, size jest but height no. I don't know how to make it bigger minimum twice.
Use WAD2 or M2D.
I'm looking for infos about how to customize the bottom start bar, so far i have only found how to disable the start et ok softkeys :
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Shell\BubbleTiles]
"TextModeEnabled"=dword:00000001
"HardwareStartKeyEnabled"=dword:00000001
"HardwareDoneKeyEnabled"=dword:00000001
I'd like to know how to :
- skin the buttons (for example, change them from rounded to squared)
- relocate the start menu on top (classical 6.5 location)
- skin the menu, increase or decrease the bar thickness...
any infos & links are welcome !
thx.
+1 but also for 6.5 and below.
The persistent task and menu bar is one of the things I hate most about WinMo. In portrait orientation they can be tolerable but in landscape they take up a significant chunk of the vertical screen space. This almost nullifies the advantage of having a high resolution display.
It would be great if there was a way to make them smaller, or even hide them completely. There are not nearly enough full screen apps to make up for this deficiency.
go here and download the oem. it is a very good base for starters. It has everything you need to skin a 6.5.x theme

Is it possible to make the Icons bigger on the Home- and Menu-Screen.
The Icons are for human with handicap too small :-(
My N2E is rooted with SalsichaNooter 0.4
Bluepieps
On the Home Screen you can use DesktopVisualizeR to add icons as big as you want (actually they are widgets, but works the same as icons). You can find it on Market.
Thanks, this was what i want
I use Go Launcher and it's got a setting that lets you custom resize all icons (and text size). Change the setting once and it automatically resizes all icons, including ones you add or move. You can make the icons very large, if that's your desire. Now if only I could get MARKET to work smoothly!
