hello,
It seems that active sync keeps turning itself on my jasjar. I close/kill the application and it shows up back a few minutes later. I don't know if it has to do with my GPRS and BT being always on, but I cannot get rid of it.
Any clues?
Thanks,
Fernando
The defaul setting is to resync every hour or so, have a look at the Schedule settings and set them to Manual and this will stop the automatic start of AS
Hi
is there a way to setup the phone to wake up and check for wlan when checking mail automatic?
When I am at home my hd goes to standby and when it checks for email auto every 60 min it uses the 3g o edge connection because it is in standby and not connected to wlan. is thee no way to wake up the device when auto checking mail and then connect to my home network while checking mail and disconnecting when finished?
I know of the keep wlan alive option with hd-tweak, but this keeps my connection alive all the time and dains the battey.
Thanks fo any help!
I just installed the skype panel on my Xperia trying to use it but as soon as the skype logs in, the data connection disconnects. Any ideas?
I have this option set in my registry to make sure it disconnects when I'm not using it.
CacheTime = 30
SuspendResume:
Code:
~GPRS! :- 3G always On
GPRS_bye_if_device_off :- timeout after CacheTime
I'll try setting my CacheTime a little longer but I want it to still autodisconnect after i finish with other stuff.
Also, my GPRS connection seems to only connect and receive email as I wake the device, I don't know if it's just that I always happen to turn it on exactly at that time. :S
Ideas?
Is there an application that would auto close all wirelss connections if not in use?
For instance, if I have my email address setup to download messages every hour, I'd like my wireless connection to time-out if idle for 5 minutes.
Can I do that? Is there a program or setting that I could change?
Thanks a lot!!!
google WMLONGLIFE
it will turn off your connections when they are not in use after a user-specified amount of time (15 seconds, 5 mins etc)
Back with my Omnia 2 there was a feature when the screen is off for x amount it would disconnect data automaticly and i had it so my weather app would check weather updates every hour. So in the end every hour data would connect and update the weather and then after 2 minutes disconnect.
During the day i had it so when i opened Opera it would connect to data then and there otherwise was disconnected. Oddly though MSN would stay connect all day without issue.
So wondering if there is a way to disconnect data after like 5 minutes automaticlly and then when i lauch a browser/weather update it then connects. I guess this is the best way to save battery.
