O2 Germany just listed the HD2, so I guess I might be getting it after all (depends on which becomes available faster, Leo or Droid ), and I've been wondering: Are there any decent emulators (NES, SNES, GameBoy) that provide touchscreen controls? Do they run decently on the HD2?
The only one I've seen with touchscreen controls was an SNES emulator, and the reviews said it was really really slow and bad... but maybe the Leo has enough CPU grunt to run it well?
Thanks in advance
Check this project - porting Morphgear for HD2
Thanks for the link! Does it work?
-edit- Sounds like it works

Hi guys,
I've been trying to get some games onto my HTC Touch, but I don't know which emulators are good or where to find working roms. Can you guys recommend any programs and/or websites for emulators and roms? Thanks. Much appreciated.
Look around for morphgear and nes and sega plugins.
morphgear is good, but it isn't free. there is a five-minute evaluation period each time I run it. I'm looking for free emulators, especially for GBA.
i use GenPP (Free) for Sega Megadrive (Genesis) Games, the only problem i have found is the lack of direction keys on my Artemis! you have to use the track ball to move... makes game play *interesting*
which is the best emulators for GBA to play on TYTN
Havent used this one personally, but one that a mate uses:

I am interested in buying the Touch HD, yet i want to play certain games with my ppc.
I would like to know if anyone tested the HD with games and if so with which??
What about Myst I, Riven, Syberia I, II, Monopoly, Billiard Master 2, or others??
Additionally, anyone tested any of the known emulators such as Pocket Clive for the ZX Spectrum games or the SCUMMVM for the DOS games??
Thank you in advance for every answer...
I have the same question.
That's the only thing stopping me from buying the thing.
How does it handle Warcraft 2? Age of Empires?
Initially I doubt a lot of games will be compatible. But with a gorgeous 800x480 screen I have to imagine they'll be updating them to work. Also think of all the flash(.swf) games out there that will work better on 800x480 screens right out of the box.
A big problem will be the missing D-pad. Are there some solutions for this problem (for example GController or so)?
Pocket DOS
Actually I don't have my HD yet but I'm running Pocket DOS on my Hermes and on this it's no problem playing Master of Orion.
Ok you have to decide if you want to pay 1time 20€ for it or wait every 5 minutes for 15 sec. But i think wih the increase of RAM and CPU Power there should be no Problem to run DOS Games released till 1998.
I can give you a report after I finally got my touch hd.
Noone tried any games yet???????????
Hi everyone
I think we should transfer this question into this thread, dont we?

i was wondering what games the HD comes with? which are trial and which are full versions? have you been able to get more games for it that aren't crap looking? and work well? full versions?
- also, has anyone gotten their phone from expansys-usa.com? everything good? or from clove uk? im thinking of getting it from clove uk.. its abot 700USD. not bad.
- does anyone know about the insurance? lets say everything is fine at the beginning but then something happens.. it has a 1yr warranty right? will HTC cover it here in the US?
EDIT: no one knows? tons of you have the phone...
Yeah, I'd like some games as well.
build in games are BubbleBreaker (something like tetris), Teeter (ball and hole game, using gsensor), Solitaire (everyone knows)... all full versions, but MineSweeper missing
There are not much other games working flawlessly with HD, either because of 800x480 resolution, or because lack of D-pad or HW buttons.
Within "advanced"/3D games only Virtual Pool works perfectly (but need to set up an exception in Gyrator if you're using it), some more simple games could work well too
check this wiki page, games are bottom

hi does anyone know if there are any games like Teeter?
I enjoy it and just wondering if any similar
Thanks
resco bubbles: http://www.fuzemobility.com/resco-bubbles-gsen-addictive-game/
It's like teeter but you need to pop bubbles in order and the boards are textured so the ball acts differently...really neat
also Marble Worlds which is similar but slightly more of a traditional game: http://www.fuzemobility.com/marble-worlds-2-released-g-sen/
I wonder why the Windows Mobile platform gets so few games. I guess WinMo users have the sense to play games that are meant for gaming.

Well there is that and the fact that winmo has tons of emulators. Wait till marketplace comes out then we will get more accelerometer based games.

I would like to know any emulators that work with the TP2 I'm kinda missing my spring mogul.(NOT REALLY TP2 ROCKS!!!)
While I like games as much as the next guy, I would like to see them incorporate the accelerometers into more APPS as well. This is one thing that the iSore, er...iPhone does well.
Any good games out for the HTC HD2? Looked at the market place and wasn't sure whta to pick!!
Xtract , Experiment 13 , Electropia are really good !!
Resco Bubbles also a nice 1 .
i also still looking for games
i saw prince of persia hd in the windows market place but i cant say anything about hat.
So far the rendering of the 3D RPG games like Prince of Persia leave a lot to be desired on the HD2. If you compare the games on the iphone, you will be very disappointed.
There is a reason for this though, and I think we just need to wait for the developers to catch up as the WinWo games are designed for lower spec and older phones, whereas the iPhone developers have one sole platform to develope against, with their games working on all iphones.
Yes well i have just gone from an iphone to HTC HD2 to be honest i thought there will be more. But overall the phone does win over the iphone just not (yet) in the games department which is a shame because i can imagine this being a beast +looking good on a bigger screen
Hello
Hi. do u people know this phone can play normal window mobile game.

Where did you download this from? I see a lot of cabs when I google, but I don't really know any of the websites... can you vouch for one of them?
Zenonia....
It is also available on the iPhone but available through Handango and Windows Marketplace (UK at least) for the HD2.
Phenomenal little old Zelda-type game which controls well on the HD2. I am on 1.43 and have not installed any sensitivity reduction cab. I personally feel that if the sensitivity reduction cab would make the experience more enjoyable as fine motor movement in-game can be fiddly.
I have major problems hitting the quick slot keys too which is disappointing.
Overall an 8/10.
Are there any RPG games on WM similar to "Dungeon Hunter" ( http://www.gameloft.com/iphone/dungeon-hunter/?adid=27351 )
Or any RPG games at all...

Orions
I'm trying to get the orions running on the HD2 but it seems it is only available for QVGA devices.. anyone has this game running on a WVGA screen?
Also. dragon ball and flight commander are pretty nice games too
Worms..
Anyone know if Worms Armageddon works on HD2?
