Vodafone-Magic mic issue - myTouch 3G, Magic General

Hi,
I have an issue with my Magic from Vodafone.
The mic is too quiet and callers don´t hear me correctly.
Phone is not rooted and it runs the original Vodafone software.
Firmware: 1.6 / Build: DRC92
Vodafone Support really sucks, can you help me?
I found a few things in the board, but I don´t know how to solve the Problem

Sending audio via speaker

When I attache a wired headset (single earpiece) my audio always goes to the headset. Is there a way in which the rings can be heard in both the headset and the phone speaker? This would be useful if I don't have the earpiece in my ears. Thanks.
Depending on your ROM version
... is this known issue.
HTC has an official ROM (WM6.1) update on its support sites:
http://www.htc.com/de/supportdownloadlist.aspx?p_id=59&act=sd&cat=all
But, of course, this only applies to the original ROM.
There you can also read about the bug that you roughly describe. Please compare before applying.
Hope it helps.
Kind regards from Switzerland
Thanks for this, but the problem is HTC has not released an official ROM upgrade for the Cruise released in India! So I cannot upgrade it officially to 6.1.

During conversation can hear disotortion sound

Anyone got ancounter this problem? I got send my HD2 to service center, they replace Receiver only. But the problem still not solve...
How to solve this problem?
I Have solved it by updating ROM.
My current version is 1.48.479.1 (71294) WWE.
I didn't want to upgrade it furthermore, because everything works perfectly now, and there is a saying, don't fix it if it's ain't broken...

[Q] Outgoing Call issue

Hi,
I have strange issue developed in my HTC HD Mini for last few days. When I make any call, the other person cannot hear my voice whereas I can hear them clearly.
When I connect my headphone and then make a call then other person can hear my voice. Same with bluetooth headphone.
Has anyone encountered such issue? Any remedy for this problem?
Thanks in advance.

It is not the micro.
I have the same problem only hear the other person out loud.
I already bought a new PC and nothing changed the ROM already and nothing and I've taken up the display, and have to see if the cap was a column.
We also have not managed to solve but if anyone can help thank you.
Already someone has an updated ROM in Portuguese and my htc mini came from germany and I update the ROM is in German and not know anything about German

Caller Can't here me intermittently
Has anyone resolved this problem? Was it faulty microphone?
I initially wondered if inadvertently touching something on the screen might cause it. Google turns up some discussion that it might be an issue with Vodafone SIM (I'm using Vodafone).

Not even ask about the ROM and Radio...
Whenever a problem occurs it is possible to go in many different directions until you find the clues...
Check and monitor, or if you want, write it down whether problem exists when:
- Phone is in 3G mode but also when in 2G mode?
- connected to a wifi-network or not.
- whether you tried skype? or something like that, sound record app, etc.
You suspect about issue with the Vodafone?
-Try a friends SIM in your device,
-Try your SIM in another device...

And also i found two VoIP software without this issue . those works perfectly. but most VoIP have this issue, which works perfectly on other phones.. Problem exists even after I upgraded and downgraded OS. So, please someone tell me that why this problem and how to solve it ..... Thanks in advance...

Yotaphone 2- Bluetooth issues with microphone

Hi and sorry if i do not found such a topic in some discussion. I tried to search but didn´t found it yet.
My problem is that i have a new Yotaphone 2 YD201 with latest update (as far as i know) 1.1.124 , which i got OTA.
And i´m not sure if this was happening also before the update, cause i didn´t tested it before with Android 4.4.
The problem:
If i set up a call or got a call and talking some times over my bluetooth headset, the colleagues asked me that i sound like under water.
Sometimes it happens within minutes, sometimes longer...
If i switch to the mobile phones microphone everything is working correct instantly.
I tried several bluetooth headsets, which are working well on other android phones.
Then I tried the soundrecorder SW which is on the device and found out, that the bluetooth sound isn´t recorded well, means it´s very dull and quiet.
If i put my voice directly to the mobiles microphone (although bluetooth headset is still connected), the recorded sound is louder but still far away from a good quality.
But it doesn´t change, if the bluetooth headset is switched off and the soundrecorder is used directly without bluetooth headset. Still very dull and quiet.
Can anybody please test this with his Yotaphone 2 YD201 to check if only my phone has a problem, although i do not believe that it is a HW topic.
Is there some known issue or bug regarding this topic and has somebody any idea how to overcome this problem, cause without using a bluetooth headset, the phone is unaúsable at all for me.
Thx and nice evening
Cheers
neo
Meanwhile i contacted the Yotaphone Support and there was a very fast answer.
Problem is known by Developers. They are working on a fix and keep me updated.
So, lets see if and what will ever happen...

Hi Neo,
I have the same probem with my Yotaphone 2.
I bought the new Bose QC30 Bluetooth, the sound is very bad for my contact.
I found something working : plug the headset Jack, and then test to phone by bluetooth.
if the jack is plugged when the bluetooth mode is selected (before or during the call), the microphone from the bluetooth is good.
if you unplug the jack during the call in bluetooth mode, the microphone is operating yet properly.
Why ???
same problem here
hi everyone,
is there any update on this issue? sadly cant use my headset anymore.
thx, luke
Isn't there a solution just above?!

Hi, thx for all the feedback- I also tried this CN Radio + the topic with the audio jack but none of them are real workarounds.
It seems that the CN -Radio brings some other issues for me, like unstable LTE connections + problems with SRVCC (switch from LTE to 3G/2G) in some handover situations. These problems were not available before.
So i installed the RU stock again and sorry to say it- sell the phone - It´s a nice phone and for people who do not need the bluetooth headset nearly the complete day- its a very good phone, with a great idea.
By the way- the support from Yota was quite good and they tried to help me as well as they confirmed the bug is known by the developer, but this help that much at the moment- so i´m back with my P9000 now...
Have fun with the mobile and appreciate the ideas of Yota devices...
Cheers
Neo
I seem to also have this issue on the EU version. Is it a matter of the antenna? I've ordered one of those cheap 3.5mm jack antennas to try out.
The odd thing is that bluetooth audio is fine with both speakers and a headset, from a variety of distances. I don't understand why the microphone is affected.

I would be interested in how you did that, my gf is getting upset as she can't use her bluetooth handfree set while driving... she has the yd206 model, build EU 1.1.124, i already thought of installing RU buil then ota update to 1.1.134, but i wonder if this would change anything.
Thanks.
any news?
YD206 model too
Hi, I have a YD206 model and same problem with the mic with bluetooth.
I am not sure if I had this problem with Kit Kat, but as I am using bluetooth in my car everyday for my job, I think that problem was from my recently Lollipop update.
bluetooth mic: any news?
Hello, I have the same issue with YD201. Phone calls over my car's integrated bluetooth sound fine to me but the people I speak with say I sound like I am in a pipe or underwater.
Has anyone found a fix?
Thank you!
YD201
Android version: 6.0.1
Baseband version: s01_003_4240_RU1_M05
I did a factory reset on my Android 6.0.1 and the problem seems to have gone away. I did try other radio firmwares before which was a wasted effort.
