Hello, In rhodium the lower buttons are "Phone" on the left and "Camera" on the right.
How can I change this buttons to other functions as "programs" or others?
I try with Advanced configuration tools and other utilities but when soft reset all return with original values. My rhodium have Italian rom.
Thanks
Use HD Tweaks works on mine.
Use HD Tweaks with caution.. Some of the tweaks might give issues on TP2.. For one, its a know issue that one or some of the volume tweak would disable sound on your TP2.. There after, you make calls and you can't hear the other side..

Anyone know how to change the keys at the bottom?
Camera kind of annoys me since I occassionally hit the damn button and am getting lovely shots of the inside of my pockets!

Use Touchflo Detacher, you can set the softkeys on the homescreen aswell as in Touchflo 3D to any application or shortcut (ink) you want.
http://www.codeplex.com/TFDetacher
At the moment I have Camera and Windows Messenger
Hard Keys
In case you didn't know already, you can also set the Send key as a shortcut as well. Just go Settings > All Settings > Personal > Buttons

You can remap both soft keys (left and right) the same way: either choose the program from your application list shown in the pull-down window, or choose the application from any location on your device by clicking [...] path search on the right side. This way you can remap both soft keys to ANY program on your device.
with a reg editor you can go for : HKLM->Software->HTC->Manila
Here it is : HomeRSKPath (Write the path of the desired app)
Below is : HomeRSKText (Write the text you want to see in home right soft key).
Hope it can help.
Is there a way to just remove the two soft buttons and have the tf3d icons on the bottom? I am running an auto lock program and the phone button is not needed as I can use the hard button.
Hi there,
is there any way to force Manila to update the links shown in the programs tab / new startmenu?
I'd like to change them by registry, but then I need to restart Manila, what is not very smart.
So, does anybody know of a commandlinearg for manila.exe to do this?
Like manila.exe --updateprogramspage <--this does not work...
Thanks in advance.
BTW: If somebody feels this isn't the right place for such a post, feel free to move it. I already tried Q&A but no response.
first option:
go to the "setting tab" on the home screen click "customise tabs" and rearange any tab order. click done and manila will restart its self.
Second option:
Goto all settings in the personal tab click today icon then in items tab (bottom), uncheck tf3d then click ok. go back into the today settings and check tf3d again, click ok and it will restart its self.
hope this worls out for you. Ive tried this tweek and it works greate. unlimited number of icons in the manila programs launcher only shame is after the first 30, you have to edit the rest using registry entries.
Thank you for the tip,
I'm using TFDetacher, so I'm able to restart Manila very easy.
But thats the problem, I don't want to restart it.
I want to manipulate the Start menu Items in runtime.

2. Remove the hTC settings shortcut

By removing htc setting shortcut you mean deleting \windows\start menu\settings folder?
Using BsB is fast
Remove shortcut Settings.lnk from windows\start menu\programs
Thank you guys, it finally works as it ment to be
I need help in disabling vibration when using the keyboard. I've tried to look for it in the forums and in the device settings but did not find anything. There is no personalization in the Settings tab.
I know the setting is in there somewhere. A search for "vibrate typing" turned up amongst others:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=588026
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=630388&highlight=vibrate+typing
I guess you'll find the answer in both of those threads.

thanks for the links! but i think the HD2 US that i have does not have that remove vibration option in the settings. i tried to look for that option in all the settings but i could not find it. if it's there, then i definitely need to have my eyes checked.
Im running a generic HTC ROM on my T9193 model; go to the Settings tab (in Sense), then Personalize, then Vibration
Using Resco Registry go to
Hkey Local Machine > Software > HTC > ezsip
Add a new DWORD Value string and call it "VibrationEnabled" (without the quotes) and give it a value of 0.
Soft reset and BAM!
But this is with Resco Registry, with another reg edit program, i am not sure what kind of string you are adding, hopefully it is still called DWORD.

This is really useful, especially because it turns off only keyboard vibration. Thank you very much!
If anyone is still having issues with this problem there is an easier way without messing around with the registry. From any screen hit the Windows button to the right of the home button on the phone itself, not the touchscreen. Then find the "settings" icon and tap that. Next you will see a "personalize" tab and tap it, at the very bottom of those options you will see a "vibration" tab, tap that and you will be taken to a screen that allows you to change the settings for the keyboard, simply uncheck the box, tap done and your all set

I'm using the NRG ROM, and those instructions don't make any sense to me. Also, be aware that the stock TMOUS ROM (as I recall, I didn't use it long), does not give access to the standard "Settings" icon except via the Sense tab.

You are correct, on a stock ROM if I remember right you have to go to Settings>Menu>All Settings>Personal>Imput I think it has been a little while since I used any Windows Mobile ROMs now.
Registry hack worked for me.
Would be interesting to determine impact on battery life.
TMOUS-Sense Vibration Settings
This is an old thread but there was a recent reply. For the T-Mobile HD2 with a stock ROM amd/or the Sense overlay, go to the Settings tab, select Personalize, select Vibration and then uncheck the box. However, this did not turn off vibration for the Swype keyboard.
If you have another ROM, then these settings may not be available via this method. BSB Tweaks has settings to turn off/on vibration for HTC apps and calculator vibration. Of course, the registry editing will work. I have found the Resco registry editor to be easy and useful.
I've looked in the forums and in the phone's settings and I did not find anything. Does somebody know how to do it?
Vibrate text fix
Its an easy fix. Just go to Start/Setting/Personalize/Vibration. It is a cool feature but it uses a lot of battery life.

if you cant find this under the personal settings try in system or just settings
