I was trying to dial my voicemail today by holding down the '1' key.
It said I didn't have one set so I typed in '150' then realised that I should have typed '123' (for Orange).
Now if I try and edit the speed dial number set for key '1' it won't let me. It just goes to the general phone options with no way to edit the number. Also, 'Delete' is greyed out.
Anyone got any suggestions (not hard reset ) to sort this out?

When dialing phone numbers on my O2 XDA Atom Life(Using WM6.1) when I click a number, it automatically searches through my contacts or recently called then I have to press keypad again to enter another number... it's sort of quite annoying when I have to enter an entire phone number and I have to press twice the amount of buttons I need to.
To clarify things a bit
1. I open up "Phone" which is on the bottom left corner of "Home"
2. The keypad comes up with the dialing area (top) recent calls (middle top-ish) and the actual numbers (bottom half)
3. Say I press "9" to start entering a phone number, instead of just staying at the keypad and allowing me to continue to the next number it jumps to another page and searches for "Recently Called" and "Contacts" and "MSN Contacts" for things that have the number "9" in it
4. For me to get back to typing more numbers I have to press "Keypad" which is located at the bottom left of the "New Page" I have been sent to after entering the number "9"
5. See steps 3 and 4 for the rest of the phone number... it does that for EVERY single number I press and it's really bugging me.
Basically what I want is that for the Keypad to STAY WHERE IT IS when I dial in phone numbers! (I can't seem to find a setting for it anywhere)
I use Orange and everytime I go to pick up new messages on my answerphone I have to dial '1' from the menu options to hear them. This is a pain on the Blackstone because you have to wake up the screen, pop up the keypad and then press '1'. What I want to know is is there any way of building the '1' into the telephone number so that the tone is automatically sent when I dial the number?
I use the phone keppad for texting as I find it the quickest.
When I reply to a message and sometimes when I start a new one the keypad inputs numbers rather than letters.
If I go into input settings and come straight back out again changing nothing then I get text entry again.
Does anyone know if this is a known bug and is it fixable??
Folks, is it just me or is there a trick I have missed?
When I get a voicemail and I try to call my voicemail box by tapping on the message asking me to call my voicemail and I end up having to hit the screen 3 times !
I get the Incoming message stating
"Please call 321, You have N new voiceMail messages"
I CLICK ON THE NUMBER and get the menu pop up with the number and several options e.g. Forward, delete message etc
I CLICK ON THE NUMBER (AGAIN!)
Then I get another screen asking me to verify the number with three options - call, send message and save to people
I CLICK ON THE NUMBER AGAIN!!
I press on the CALL button and hold down the number "1" and it'll dial voicemail (that is if i dont see it near the top of my recent calls...in which case i'll just tap on it). So really, it involves two presses to call voicemail.
Thanks, didn't realise the 1 number key was preset to voicemail. At least that is some improvement. You would have hoped the number in the incoming message being clickable would have automatically dialled the number for you but what the heck.
Thanks again
When going to the phone dialler, you can tap out the name of a person but it does not give you the option to call any of the associated numbers. Seems to only come up with one number (probably the first in the list).
This was coming up wrong for a few people I call a lot so I set their default number. I now don't know how to deselect the default number (so there is no default). I want to do this because when I add a short cut to a person on the desktop, it will give a drop down list of numbers to call if there is no default but dials the default number automatically if it does have a default number.
Seems really bizarre. I would have expected:
Being able to call any number when entering a name from the dialler (with the default number first if it has been set).
Being able to call any number from a person short cut regardless whether a default number is set or not.
Being able to remove a default number from a contact.
Any help or workarounds will be greatly appreciated.
TIA
I am on JM2 and I don't have this problem. Whenever I start typing the name of a contact, it appears, I press on it and all the number are there to choose...
That's promising. Are you able to confirm if there is a way to remove the default number selection from a contact once it has been set? Thanks.
