Having a few problems
currently own a HTC HD2 but 02 dont have this phone yet but i currently have a 02 sim in it and they have no wap or 3g settings for it. Is there a way to manualy imput the internet settings into the phone as 02 have given the settings to me but they have no idea how to manualy imput them as they cant see the menus on the phone but here as XDA im sure you can help..
no need for any of that mate - just plug it in and away it goes
the HTC connection manager kicks in when you first bootup, it'll recognise you have an o2 sim and ask you to if it can configure the device - simple as
Before getting my HD2 unlocked today I was using an O2 PAYG sim. The autoconfigure on the O2 HD2 doesn't work for PAYG settings only contract settings.
I contacted O2 and they sent me the details which I have included below. It takes a bit of following and isn't 100% described correctly, but they do work properly when set up :-
GPRS setup
• Go to Start > Settings > Connections > Connections Icon > Advanced (Tab) > Select Networks (Button)
• You should now be on a screen titled “Network Management”. Now select both drop boxes to “My Work Network” then tap OK
• You now need to tap the Tasks tab and then the “Manage existing connections” link
• From here, tap the New button
• Name the new connection “O2 GPRS” and select modem as “Cellular Line (GPRS)” then tap Next
• You will now asked for the Access point name, here you should enter: “payandgo.o2.co.uk”, then tap Next
• You will now be asked for the username and password. The username is “payandgo”, and the password is “password”
• Ignore the Domain box and ignore the Advanced button, just tap Finish
• You will now be presented with a screen with your connections listed. Simply tap “O2 GPRS”. (There will now be a dot besides the name “O2 GPRS”. There may be other connections, you can delete if you wish. You also may have an “Auto pick” option, do not select this)
• You now need to tap the Proxy Settings tab (make sure the on-screen keyboard is not hiding this)
• On this screen you need to make sure that both the “This network connects to the Internet”, and “This network uses a proxy server to connect to the internet” tick boxes are both ticked
• In the Proxy server box below the tick boxes, enter: “193.113.200.195”
• Now tap the “Advanced” button
• Tap HTTP, enter server as “193.113.200.195”, port: “8080”, tap OK
• Tap WAP, enter server as ”193.113.200.195”, port: “9201”, tap OK.
• Leave Secure WAP blank (if there is anything in this entry, delete it)
• Tap Socks, enter server as “193.113.200.195”, port: “1080” and the type as “Socks 4”, then tap OK
• Tap OK 3 more times. Then tap X
• Now launch Mobile Internet Explorer to test the new settings
MMS setup – ensure GPRS settings are completed
· Select 'Start' > Select 'Messaging' > Select 'Menu' > Select 'MMS Configuration' or ‘tools’ > Select 'Servers' tab > Select 'New'
· Type in Server name or 'O2 MMS'
· Select 'Gateway' and type in '193.113.200.195'
· Select 'Port number' and type in '9201'
· Select 'Server address' and enter 'http://mmsc.mms.o2.co.uk:8002'

Hello,
Is there anyone using the corporate mode and not able to send MMS ? I've been trying to change and figure the setting on my device. It seem to be not able to send MMS.
If there is someone using the corporate mode and able to send MMS please send me the configuration.
Many Thanks.
Are you using a contract line? if you are try this file. Hopefully it'll solve your problem.
Hello,
No luck, I still not able to send mms.
Are you in the corporate mode as well?
Hi Waiho,
i had this problem, what i had to do was hard reset and install it with all the O2 rubbish. I then wrote down all the details which were stored. Then hard reset in corporate mode and put the details in. Is bit lengthy but neccessary. Sorry i dont have my phone on me at the mo so can even give the details from mine.
mms disappeared
i had the problem of not seeing mms inbox because of not loading the extended rom from t Mobile.
I found out that with total commander you can go to the files in the extended rom and there i needed to execute a file called shortcut_mms1_java6xx-cv-voice-emailwiz-tmo-03nov05.cab to make it work
only need to enter the provider settings now
Hi Enervate,
Do you mind to send me the config detail ?
Thanks!
Use Basic ?
If you use the Basic setting after a hard reset (or Clear Storage) you get the MMS settings OK. Otherwise contact O2 Care and they will send you the settings.
DBo.

Talk to your customer services people... its possible mms is not active for your number...
You might try talking to the tech support team if possible.... they might check the settings on your xda
Thanks bud. il give them a ring.
all the settings can be found on filesaveas.com
depends whether you are contract or payg. I think all new sims accounts are mms enabled. It took me a little while to get my payg sim to send mms in the mini s but found a walkthru on the expansys board in the end
http://www.expansys.com/forumthread.asp?code=129999&thread=27
the problem is you need to set up your gprs wap connection 1st then point the mms connection to use this wap connection to send/receive. I think thats the case anyway. If you have any probs let me know and i'll try to take you thru all my settings.
Im having the same problems.
I have phoned them 3 times asking what the problem was and they kept trying to tell me it was my settings, until one day they said they hadnt set itup on my account. They trhen said it would take 24hours .... that was 3 days ago !!!
Anyhoo, they sent me these emails wit hthe settings required for the CONTRACT settings :

Does anyone know the GPRS setting for 02 PAYG UK sim cards?
Thanks.
hi,
I have also posted a thread asking for the settings but no luck at all, the only way so far is to pay for dial up
o2 GPRS setting for PAYG
Try This: http://www.filesaveas.com/o2wap.html
Good Luck
These settings will allow you to access the whole of the internet on your phone using PAYG, as currently you cannot access any site except google.com and o2.co.uk. If i was you i would sign up for the 7.50 a month unlimited browsing bolt on(Not actually true as you are limited to 200mb a month). You should get 1mb free a month, but as you will find out 1mb doesnt last very long,if you go browsing, i would say it would be good for about 5 pages then its gone and you will be paying top wack for the internet.
Please note that only Mobile Internet Explorer will work with these settings, you will not be able to use or access Mobile MSN or Outlook as these are not supported.
• Go to Start > Settings > Connections > Advanced (Tab) > Select Networks (Button)
You also may have an “Auto pick” option, do not select this)
• You now need to tap the Proxy Settings tab
Then tap X
• Now launch Mobile Internet Explorer to test the new settings
worked a treat, thanks mate.
Hey guys.
Can someone help me out with this...
I had a tmobile MDA (wizard), i have since upgraded to the Kaiser. But my mum wants to use the old wizard. The wizard is already unlocked (lokiwiz yay) so i just put my mums O2 sim in the phone and it works. But things like going online won't work, i assume i need to enter some settings somewhere. (which settings and where???)
I tried ringing O2 to get the info, but they started asking what phone i had and then they said they didnt have the MDA/Wizard, and so i said a sony erricson just so that she would send info, but when i recieved the text message it was blank or at least appeared blank.
Can someone from here tell me which settings i need to enter and where.
Also i am still running the wizard on the tmobile rom (second one they made for MDA). is there a better rom for me to use.
Thanks guys.

Unfortunately, the sim card controls the internet, texting, and online accesses. By putting your mom's O2 sim in your old wizard doesn't change anything. These sim cards have numbers on them to identify them with the type of device activated for. What you need to do is contact your carrier and explain to them what you said in your post, and get the sim re-activated.
Thanks for the help hotdog.
I'll ring the O2 people again and explain things. Only reason i didn't go into depth with them before was because i thought they would tell me im not allowed to use an O2 sim in an unlocked Tmobile phone.
