You need to call T-mobile and request the Unlock code by giving them you IME or just by it online from some trusted source ~20$.

Haha, no!
Can you get into recovery? turn the phone off then hold down the power + home button. If you can, just do a factory reset and see if it helps. What did you do before the problem started?
i was trying a mod

That still doesn't answer the question. What were you trying to do (ex. flashing a rom, flashing spl, etc.....) If you cant get into recovery or bootloader you have a paperweight.

What rom? Did it involve installing a new SPL?
was trying a CyanogenMod. After I turned it on it never did boot into the phone.
thanks,

If all you did was try to flash the rom check the MD5sum and make sure it was a complete download and then try to flash again. Can you still get into recovery or bootloader?
no i can't even get into the recovery or bootloader, i think i'am just going to have to bite the bullet and buy a new phone. unless rogers can fix it for me for a price,lol......
Did you go straight to 4.2.5 or did you have a previous version of Cyanogenmod? You probably didn't flash the HTC image first. read the first page of the Cyanogen thread.

so im thinking of trading my blackberry storm for a g1 but i don't want to get a data plan. i had a g1 when they first came out i hated having to have a what can i do i can flash rom but im kind of new to it im currently on my htc fuze any help would be appreciated thanks in advance
Search will give you the information you need. I believe there's a way to bypass the initial sign in so that you can root then install a custom ROM... but afaik, T-mobile will require you to get a data plan and pester you till you do. I do think that with a custom ROM you can do the initial sign in via wifi...

You only need to sign in on the first boot after a wipe, and only if you have a carrier-customized build. Builds based on ADP1 (or any other engineering build) have a "Skip sign in" option. Then you can enter, set up your wifi and then sign in from there.
thanks dont really understand ill figure it out i mostly catch on quick

It is possible to lock the bootloader, but you have to be working at HTC to do it.

I reckon they have some sort of flashing box that just obliterates everything and replaces it with official software.
dont they just have to flash back the original spl, which we dont have?

That's what i think.
Unless someone can get that, no luck. Though it's probably a good thing that we can't relock the bootloaders.
Is there a place I can download T-Mobile HD2 MR Software (Version 3.14.531.1) without entering an IMEI? My HD2 is stuck in CWM Recovery and I want to flash the stock software back on. But I don't know my IMEI and I can't boot the phone to check.

Your IMEI is also on the back of your phone.. Take out the battery and you will see it.

I have a major problem, I need to know if it will be possible to flash a custom rom on a nexus 6p. It seems that it will be hard because of that new bootloader.

Sorry, I'm new to this stuff. I thought they can change the bootloader when you upgrade. Thanks for the help though

The bootloader does get updated. But you can unlock any bootloader, and updating it doesn't lock it again. Take a look at my guide:

Oh, because i was afraid of the phone won't boot because of the android n won't boot if the phone has a unlocked bootloader.

Nope, nothing like that to worry about. The locked/unlocked status won't stop it from booting.
Thanks. I can now upgrade in peace
Hello,
Has anyone been able to successfully flash one of these stock firmware .tot files? If so could you please provide a link to the version you used?
As far as I know there isn't currently one available that works with the V20, but I have seen posts claiming to have done so.
-Thanks

Yeah... so if you can only get to fastboot you are screwed. Go to the t-mobile store and get a new one. I had to do that early on and they didn't question me at all.
