Yes I have the same problem. Despite the volume level is in the minimum the in call is too loud.

Hey there i don't mind if anybody had this recognized too... but the Microphone level is quite too high!
to me as non dev it seems that the microphone on normal (not loudspeaker calls) is sensitiv as in loudspeakercalls it should be...
because that we have the heavy noises when calling! (not a big problem when using the loudspeaker mode because than you didn't talk directly to the mic and the voice didn'ts gets overpitched on the other side!
just try to call your self from a nother phone and then enable the loudspeaker mode... you didn't hear changes in mic. level ...
you want to report
maybe its a small and easy thing to change this?!

write kernel driver to control appropriate HW!!
HD2 as sensor for reduction noise,
it need implemented on Linux Kernel
i think the mic is just to sensitiv in normal calling mode (non loudspeaker mode)
... no need for the noise reduction sensor (are you sure that there a second mic to reduce noise..)
But i found a solution, just use the Headphones ... no Noise on the other side

But this is a trick and not a solution for everyday use. I think the Mic Level is to high, too. I think that is the problem that every one have with "echos" maybe?! Anybody can fix this to try it out?
Why is it that when I flash an Android Rom on my HTC HD2 the in call Volume is way too loud.
I turn down to it's minimum volume but it's just ear bleeding loud.
Can this be fixed?
I had this issue too, there's no fix that I know of, just a first aid thing - when your volume is louf on minimum, put it to maximum (at that time) and then get it back on minimum, it should help. Sometimes it doesn't though.
But for me, after a while the problem disappeared. Maybe a ROM update?

be fortunate yours is loud because mine is way too low in most cases i have to use my speaker phone to talk to ppl
I have tried turning up volume & down again & that didn't fix the problem & so i changed Roms's & it does it on all of them.
Surely there must be a fix for this problem?
Did anyone notice that the low call volume bug happens because you can hear the noise cancelling mic and the call at the same time? I can't post on the thread because I still don't have 10 posts, but is there anyway to disable the noise cancelling mic to see if it solves the problem?
i have the same problem

That's the kernel's fault, there's no way to solve it unless you change rom.
Hello everybody,
Phone is Asus Zenfone 2 Laser, ZE500KL, Android 5.0.2, WW_12.8.5.222
My in-call volume is too loud.
If i'm in a car or in some other quiet space, everybody can hear the person i am talking to.
Speaker is not turned on, and in-call volume is set at the minimum (volume button during call). The button is working, but even the minimum volume setting is too loud.
Is there some volume setting at system level where i can lower the whole in-call volume range, or some app for doing that?
Or maybe some app that can somehow overlay in-call volume and make it quieter? Maybe if i root my phone?
Please help, i really need to lower in-call volume.
Thanks in advance.
Bump.
Please answer, if anyone knows the answer how can i lower in-call volume.
I really have problems with it, must leave my office too often, or hope that the person i speak to won't say anything odd or something.
I am currently thinking of changing my phone because of this stupid problem.
Hahahaha. This is a refreshing problem!! I have always heard people saying the in-call volume is too low. You have a unique problem
Yes, i know But that's the reason i can't find the answer
Hello, have to ask again. Is there anyone who can help me with this "in-call too loud" problem?
Hi. I am facing the same problem. The earpiece speaker is Really loud. The callers voice is audible to everyone sitting near me. The volume is set to minimum
I understand you completely, but unfortunately i still don't have working solution to lower in-call volume below it's lowest setting.
Please write here if you find any solution to this unusual problem, i will do the same.
Hey everyone,
I'm happy to have my xiaomi redmi 3s but there's one problem: the call quality is kinda bad compared to my old phones (even with the high volume you can't hear well).
I've tried other sim cards and tested the reciever and is working with a excelent sound so it must be a software problem. Anyone can help me to fix this?
I'm using the last version of global stable rom btw.
Exactly what do you mean by "call quality"? Is the volume too low? Is there noise? Is the tone too high or too low? Please try to be more specific.

The volume is too low and you can't hear well when you're in a public place (I didn't got that problem with the old phones because the high volume was enough).
The "quality call" is when you're talking with someone and the volume is low.
I have no problem with hearing the other party when I'm on a call. Maybe something is wrong with your phone. You should take it to the service center.
