Hi
I can recommend http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=584423 In this servicepack, you will find een regeditor.
After installation of this servicepack you will notice a huge improvent of our beloved HTC

cheers, i'll give it a go

Cheers for the reply.
Which of the download links do i need? They all look like European languages. I need the English version.
Is PHM reg editor any good?

You will need the WWE version, its in post 1. PNH is a good registry programm

Reg editors
Yes PHM is good,
but it is very dinky editing with it on the device.
I use CeRegEditor which is free from mdsoft.pl
This way I can edit the device from my pc desktop, much easier and more options.

Herald Today Screen Modification

Hello all,
i m new here but i am watching all p0sts about herald for a long time because i have one also...
Here's my question...is there any program like SPB MOBILE SHELL that can customize your today screen with out pay?? SPB shell is really helpfull but i cant find anywhere a non trial version with out pay:/
my sec0nd question..is there any other program to describe your tasks in your today screen ?? i ve tryed couple of programs but nothing..:/still saying 1 2 3 active tasks..:/
my last question is about loading cyrcle in ppc is there any way to change that???
Thx For your Help :>
Spb Diary come in my mind for your second question, it's not free but in my opinion its worth the money. Another program is called Today Agenda, haven't had my hand on it but I guess others here did.
The HTC Touch Today Screen can be an alternative to Spb Mobile Shell. It can be found either here or in the Wizard subforum. It's somewaht free, but it really slows down you PPC alot and takes away at least half of your screen.
yes but htc touch is for wm6..:/ any 0ther program??
I tried installing the HTC Touch Today screen from the wizard forums but didn't seem to work
I think I saw some registry settings on the same thread but didn't have regedit thingie installed so I'll give it a shot later

What language does your OS have.
I had to change the .mui files into 0407 for my german Terra.
And for registrysettings - use totalcommander. The best filemanager and FREE - and it has regedit, ftp, and lan service.
Good luck
As papamopps said, you just have to "localize" the plugin. It is only one .mui.0409 file you need to rename. If you use a good file explorer like TotalCommander you will be able to find and rename the file. I guess you are not using an English device so you should find that particular file easily in the Windows folder. After that uncheck and check the plug in from the settings menu.

Registry Editing

Hi All,
Just wondering what app you all use to edit the registry on the X1 (or any WM phone)
Regards,
Craig
you can use "total commander" (freeware) or "resco explorer" (payware).
both have features like regedit, ftp and LAN-Drive Mapping and more ...
in my opinion a "must have".
- QuadWord
Total Commander is GREAT!
Cheers guys,
where do I get it from, googled and found a few sites but wanted to make sure I have a compatable version (wasnt sure if there were problems due to screen resolutions etc)
Thanks,
Craig

sk-tools is also a "must have"

Excellent thanks guys - Much appreciated
my favourite is the all round super wonderful and free FDC taskmanager from dotFred
http://www.dotfred.net/TaskMgr.htm
The integrated regeditor has a couple of nice touches that some of the others don't have, such as being able to swap between sections of reg without changing key..
ie go from HKLM/software/HTC/ to HKCU/Software/HTC just by using the drop down list.
did I mention it was free and has loads more useful features.
I really like Task Manager 3.1 which can be found here: http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-task-manager.html
It has a registry editor very similair to regedit. And it can also display all sorts of information about processes, dll-files, networking and more.
Regards,
Michael
EDIT: Wooops, sorry... Same application as fards posted about.

Would appreciate some info.

Bought the wife a Touch Flo 3G (Orange) ROM 1.71.61.12. (43473).
She's complaining that the font size under Contacts is too small
and would like to change it. Have already found the registry entry
for changing System and Contect menu size, but for the life of me
haven't been able to work out where to find the registry or how to
unlock it. Any pointers to this info much appreciated. I do have some
experience of flashing ROM, etc as I own an Xperia currently running
on Touch-IT latest version 7, however never had to access a registry
on a phone, therefore my ignorance. Sooner I can sort this out sooner
there will be peace in this house . Thanks in advance.
Cheers
Hi
I dont know about changing the registry to enlarge the fontsize, but i could recommend you that you download and use Icontact BE. wich will replace the contacts menu with a fingerfriendly one. its free to download at: http://truburt.net/index.php?option...:icontact-be-65-beta&catid=5:general&Itemid=6
Find the registry editor and install it into your phone. Can try TRE or PHM. Cheers.
Or via PC & USB http://ceregeditor.mdsoft.pl/
Where are those entries? I would like to change the emailview font size!

sms cab

Hi guys,
I got a diamond 2, english version, and I am not very happy with the way sms look, in the sense that I have it as "conversation with...", and not in the classical way, one after wach other. Does anyone has a small program to fix this? I know it was possible to do it for Diamond 1.
Thanks a lot!

Search for reg editor, several free ones like PMH Reg Editor
Once you're in the registry, just follow the path HKLM (Hey Key Local machine) and drill down from there.
???? , I don't have HTCMessaging under HKLM/Software/HTC ???, I have the oficial ROM WM6.5 ESN

Worked perfect, Thank you so much, In WM6.1 the original reg was in.
Hi again, I am sorry but my in my original WM6.5 I cannot find any of the above mentioned registry keys. I installed PMH, but no luck. Anyone can help? thanks
If I look for HKCU\\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Settings\, then I cannot get the OEM. If I look fro HKLM\Software\HTC, then there is no HTC messaging, only HTCMsgEnhance, but that does not help! I know for Diamond 1 was a simple cab which could do the trick...pls help, thanks
