Dunno how I did it but wiped out my taskbar background. Any thoughts on fixing it?
Things I might try.
1. Change wallpaper to something different, then change it back.
2. Add new task bar then remove it.
Maybe one of those will get you back to where you need to be.

Got it thanks!

Sorry if has already been posted - I did search and found nothing. I'm going mad trying to get both the Time and battery to display on the task bar. I can only ever seem to get one or the other and really need both. I've seen theme pictures which have them, but only the iphone style. I've tried HD tweak and even with both set I only seem to get one. I'm not worried about the date, but that would be nice aswell.
If anyone can help it would be great.
I also second this. I've done a search and read various threads about having both, but they don't offer a method of showing both the normal/standard icons on the top.
Wisbar sounds like overkill. wkTask, ditto, don't need another app just for this.
Lordsmiff's color bar prob. works (didn't try), but want an actual icon, not a colored bar along the top.
There are some really awesome icons (the battery with %) for these 2 now, so I'd like both.
My iPhone displayed time and battery pretty much in most situations... not sure why it's so hard on WM phones.
Thanks
Try with SKTools man
Thanks for the info on SKTools, but I beleive this only does date and time, as that is whats listed in its tweaks section. Can you confirm it will display the battery and time?
Thanks
I couldn't find anything else either, but I'm happy with the colorbar; to be honest, I think it works better than an icon solution, as just a glance up top tells me what I need to know, where I would have to squint at an icon.
So, give it a shot...you can always uninstall it
I use Quickmenu which also displays the battery on the left while the time (and date using hdtweak) is displayed on the right. Use the wiki for the dl-link.
Nope, but u can combine it with "dciBattery", it's very light and elegance. I like it.
SKtools and "dciBattery" are perfect solution for your pane, i think.
Sorry for my english
is there any way to remove the clock from the notification bar? if your have something like beautiful widgets running it looks almost stupid having 2 clocks there. or at least have the option in settings to keep the clock or remove the clock?
i can understand the other aspect of when your in applications people would like to see the time in the notification area. but i just wana see if i miss it or not.
i gave it a quick google, and most of the responses were fairly old and for different handsets. just wondering if it is possible?
im running SuperE 1.0.1 on a 32A, cheers!
something to try.
check your spareparts app (mine is ver. 2.1_update1) it has user UI tweak at the bottom.
Clock can be set to hidden. (may not work)
while your are there, make the clock color to match your status bar. In case the hide clock part didn't work. (try transparent as well)
yeah in cyanogen's latest rom he includes a modded spareparts app that lets you control this. maybe you can rip it out of his rom and put it into yours if your version isnt the same. maybe can you download it from the market as well, not sure if that version is up to date.
thanks buddy! had no idea i should even look in there =)
the hide clock option doesnt work for some reason, even after rebooting. but changing the transparency to nothing hides it.
only thing is now it leaves an ugly gap where the clock used to be lol. i need to try find a way to remove it completely!

I tried hiding mine as well one day (a week ago maybe?), and it didn't work. Then yesterday I noticed, out of the blue, there was no clock in the notification bar. LoL So it did remove it, eventually.
it works just fine you'll just have to reboot a couple times
rightly so! i was wrong before, it does work. like losinc said u just need to reboot a couple of times. the changing of colour of the clock works too. just took a few times to get it right =)
thanks for ur help guys!
i had problems changing colors in cm 5.0.7 so i updated to 5.0.8t1 and it worked at once
Mod. edit: not dev related, moved to general
I loved the notification power widget in CM6.1, but it looks awful after installing CM7. Is there anyway to get rid of the white/light-grey background?
See attached screen shot.
Thanks.
Ohh, yours appears different than mine and I just rooted/flashed my first time today. Im quite sure I saw it in the settings when I was attempting to change something stupid...
No, wait. I totally missed it. Just an idea though; If you can open up the ROM and find the image file of the background for it-you could simply mod that. Unless its a string file which uses a number/letter code system [<-me trying to sound smart]. In a nutshell, if you can edit the ROM, you could probably just change that file specifically. Or perhaps ask if they could implement a feature that allowed you to change the back-layer color.
hi guys. i need your help. i uninstalled a skin from this link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=589899
after i installed it, i wasnt able to set any wallpaper. theres just a black background on the home tab and lockscreen. how can i fix this so i can set any wallpaper?
I think the black background is part of the theme. The theme probably has a over ride ion effect over your background and will not allow it to be changed.
Try soft reseting your HD2, if that does not help try uninstalling the theme, soft reset, reinstall the theme, soft reset again then see if you casn change the background.
Ha it is kind of funny I am having a similar problem but mine is with my laptop it will not allow my to set a different background, I can not even find the option to change it, and I bought it brand new 3 days ago. ARGHHHH

You shouldn't have to hard reset unless you just want to. If you uninstall the theme you should be able to change your background again, that is if you still have the theme installed not sure if you do or not. I think the issue has something to do with the theme you installed. If you don't have the theme installed and dtill can not set your background then a hard reset my be in your future. Sorry it is no other fix unless you want to spend the time to dig around in your registry to find the exact changes the theme made there and revert them.

HI all,
So I'm at a loss and hoping someone could point me in the right direction. Installed Alliance ROM onto my Verizon Note 3. So far I'm quite impressed with the ability to customize so many aspects of the interface. But my noob status working with android is causing me to get confused. I'm encountering a UI element that is used in popup menus that currently is displaying white text on a light grey background (as seen in the attached images) Could someone show me where to find the adjustment to change that UI element is?
Also I was a fan of the ability to swipe and launch the camera on the Stock ROM, but I was able to set my preferred app on stock. Don't see anything listed under Default Applications, also when I look at the stock camera's App Info, the Clear defaults button is greyed out. I'm unable to choose which app I want to launch since installing this ROM. I found a workaround by setting Shortcuts to Custom and selecting my app that way, but I liked the Stock ROM's grey button as opposed to using the apps actual icon.
Thanks for any help you can send my way,
Josh
Anyone have any ideas about the grey background. I'd appreciate any help, thanks

In AllianceRom Custom Settings under Colors, go to Background -> System and you can change the background of most system apps/menus, it is a universal change but you can enable/disable apps effected in the Whitelist menu.
Thanks for the idea! I'm trying but still can't seem to get that gray background to change. Any other thoughts would be appreciated.

You could try wiping cache/davlik in SS, or try flashing a theme like All Backs Black. Other than that the only other thing I can think of is wiping/flashing the rom and starting over but that seems like overkill.
From what I know, I asked the same question in the ROM thread and the answer was this is a bug they are gonna have fixed in Build 2.
Thank you so much guys for the ideas and info. I was going crazy trying different combos of settings to get it to change. I'll look into trying a theme. I was already flirting with the idea of having to try doing a full reinstallation. But if its a known bug I can deal with it, the benefits of using this ROM so outweigh the annoyance of the grey menus. Thanks again!
