Dear All,
I am having a HTC Touch 3G with a German version of Windows Mobile 6.1 installed on it.I need to change it to English as I am not comfortable with German language.
Can somebody help me to change the OS?
Where can I download the English Version?

Just check this site.
You can download another rom and install it on your device. There are original, but also custom roms available.

sorry, I doesn`t find anything for my question with the search function.
My question is, how could I change the languages?
My problem is, that I get a HTC P4350 with french language, it is no provider locked. But I couldn´t flash the WM6 in german, only in french.
Ok, the keyboard is in french design (AZERTY), but I think, it must be possible to change the system languages, or?

don't think wm6 will allow you to change language. to flash other firmware, you will have to unlock the sim+cid. your phone might still be locked?
HI,
the phone doesn´t have a simlock, if the phone has the cid lock - I doesn´t know.
If you would flash the german rom file, I get the error message 294.

ENGLISH version of wm6...mine is chinese..
you can look it herald mobile 6 forum.
there is touch1.1..maybe 2.1 newer.
flash his rom and make your devices English.
How can you change the suggested words from english to dutch? I know I need to change a file somewhere. Next question; where to get it?

I am going to receive a HTC Touch Cruise with WM Pro 6.0 in dutch. I would like to change its language to english or french. I plan on upgrading the OS to WM Pro 6.1 (via HTC website). Does anyone know if this will allow me to change the language of the phone?

Not sure, but i guess you can download the WM6.1 WWE rom from the forums (here) and flash that one to your device and you will have english language

Never installed the original HTC rom in a different language.
Installed different cooked roms without any problem. I recon there is no problem with a original though I can't imagine someone want to use a original .
afaik you can install any rom - it's refalashing, so it doesn't really matter what rom u had
just download and instal rom u like

how can i flash my ROM to english version.
i've tried to find a solution, but without any luck.
all i have is you right now, and i would be really grateful if you could please tell me what i must do to change to english version, also, is there any possibility that you can install Windows Mobile 6.0 on P4350?

Read the "How do I..." Sticky and do all in the way, as it is desripted there. You can flash an english rom on a german device and also a german rom on an english. At first you have to look for your SPL-version - if it´s lower than 4.0 you have to update the original rom.
For the original wm 6.0 roms look here. Try the german rom at 1st, if you want to install a new rom from this side later. After this you can Hard SPL, as it´s desripted in the sticky.
If you only need an english version in 6.0, you can try the wwe version behind the link.

hi all
i have hTC HD Mini with ROM version 1.07.707.1. my phone is bought from italy however i myself am living in UAE and know only english language. Currently all menus in my mobile are in english only.
i found a ROM version updation in HTC italy website which is 1.36.408.1, however when i downloaded the version and tried to update my mobile, i found out that all installation instructions were in italian language so i didnt updated ROM version thinking that doing that may change the OS language of my mobile set? Can anyone suggest should i update my ROM version, if yes how do i do it without changing my mobile current language ENGLISH??
any help is appreciated.
