T-Mobile (Germany) made some strange changes: They created folders for varius programs. "Messaging" ist the folder Messaging (Nachrichten) and Email-Wizzard.
When I press the softkey "Messaging" (i.e. at the bottom of the Today-Screen) the folder Messaging is opened and not the aplication.
That's anoying. How cane I change the function of a softkey?

Click to collapse
you have to change the application software, or write an application where you can use the softkeys.
OK, maybe my message was a bit misunderstandable.
At the todayscreen there are two softkeys at the bottom line: Messages (Nachrichten) and Calendar (Kalender).
Messages is maped to a folder, which contains the links to Messages and the EmailWiz.
The name an target of the softkey can be changed here:
\HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Today\Keys\112 and 113
Interestingly the keys are mapped to the folowing programs: HTCCalendar and HTCMessages.
But wich is the program and path to the original "messages"?
I believe the original program is \Windows\tmail.exe
However, my JASJAR doesn't have the 113 reg key. I have the 112 key and I've changed it to Resco Explorer.
@rilot: How many softbuttons do you have at the todayscreen? Only one?
I succesfuly changed it to tmail.exe. IT works. I don't know if there are some parameters which I should hand over - but it works...
I have 2 buttons on the today screen.
Calender and Contacts by default. I've changed the one marked contacts to Resco Explorer as contacts has it's own key on the keyboard.
I think you only need to create the 112 and 113 reg keys if you wish to change the default functions of the buttons.
In the SMS main screen, the left key is delete. I want to know if i can change that key to open a new message.
Thanks in advance.
I agree that this is pretty annoying... bc of lag in the software or whatever, every time you hit the left soft key, you get a "are you sure you want to delete" dialog... but then again, on previous versions the left softkey was "reply" ... so it would always take me into a new text message... so I don't know what's better! haha
As y'all know, the inbox default soft keys are "Delete" and "Menu".
How would I change "Delete" to "New", and then have it bring up a new, blank SMS? Is this possible?
Hi
Anyone knows if it is possible to open a mail with a double click instead a single click? Because when I want delete random mails it is quite annoying to open the mail, use menu and delete or go back and find the delete button in the soft buttons. Another workaround would be an extra soft button for deletion when a mail is opened, eg next to the button Reply all.
Is it possible to show my sms/mms in outlook in the way my old Kaiser/WM6.1 worked?
i have a problem with my hd2's email settings. whenever i make changes in the settings front the email inbox, like managing forders for example, i can't seem to save the changes I've made. i tried pressing the ok button on the top, pressed the physical back key button, the home key but nothing seems to save the changes in the settings and its very annoying. help anyone?
