I'm having a problem with my Topaz (French stock ROM 6.1).
Since Two or three days, the sound bar is constantly appearing to lower the volume (as if i'm always pushing low volume button). A hardware problem can't be eliminate but the button doesn't seems to be broken or damaged.
In use, this is quite a big problem ..... The sound Bar always coming on the screen and disable all other application ..... and i can't hear my incoming call because my topaz is always on silent mode (by itself) ....
This is getting me mad !!! Please help ...

I've upgraded to WM 6.5 ............ and after 2-3 days without any problem .... IT is back :-(((

Guys, i am using HTC touch since last 1 year...i have facing a strange problem since last 2 days.
Whenever i recieve a call or sms notification of incoming call or sms comes on screen but there is no sound (phone is not muted or on vibration mode). Then when i soft reset it and then starts it works fine but after few hours it agains goes back to the same stage where there is no sound of incoming call or sms.
By this i am missing loads of calls and imp sms. Please help me in resolving the same.

May i know if your phone rom has been changed before? And if u had installed programmes recently?

No i havnt changed my ROM, nor installed anykind of new programmes. I am using the phone more than 1 year and it has just started this 2 days back.
Yeah i have started charging my phone thru usb (connecting to my laptop) since last 1 week as charging thru mobile charger led to battery drain. Hence i used USB charging since last 1 week.
Also after soft reset it becomes normal but again goes into same problem after few hours.

same problem almost for me.
iam using htc touch in india . I haven't modified any of it in the last one year. but added jbed V5.1 , operamini 4.2, call firewall 1.4 , operamobile 9.5 and cleartemp etc with few more.
but recently in the last two months the notification for incoming call is not made with ringtone (not all the time . ) and iam using gprs (Airtel) almost round the clock.
only sometimes it notify me of incoming call with display and ringtone.
similarly I couldn't send sms continueously . after 2 or 3 sms the phone restarts (not the ppc doh) automaticaly and the pending sms is saved in drafts.
can anyone help me to solve the problem ?

You might want to try to change your phone rom to see if it will solve your problem because it also updates your radio, this is just a suggestion, i myself is not sure how to solve this problem, maybe someone else in this community might be able to solve it.

I have come acrossed with a strange problem like a nightmare to me .I have no audio , no sound on my htc touch hd since last night .no audio for any media file or any sound and notifications ! unable to make a call ( it connects but there's no sound on any side ).
When receiving a call , it can vibrate but doesn't ring !
Last night I noticed that simultaneously both the front and back speakers have been quieten ! It's very annoying and drawes me nut .
-having done a dozen of soft resets.....
-have removed at least 10 recent applications with no success !
-had pluged in and unpluged the headphone also ,but no change .
The strange thing is that even tf3d player doesn't work ! But in other hand windows media player works , of course with no sound (not in speakers nor via ear phones ).
The main culprit , I think is sk tool .last night i used it's auto clean and move up functions and it check marked automaticly the box of (system/audio.exe) file . May be it has removed that file somewhere or have killed it ! Is it possible that missing this particular file is the root of the problem ? If so ,any hard reset will be ineffective too !
So ,what can i do ? And what's going on ?
Any ideas ?.....please help .

I'm opening this thread because my device ( acer neotouch ) has a bad bug regarding sms notification sound and in the neotouch section no one has been able to fis this neither me of the master cook ( which is arto ! ) . When a sms arrives and the phone is in stand-by mode the notification sound do not entirly cames out from the speaker...er can only heard a little part of the sound, the rest part of the sound cames out when the we resume the phone from stand-by ..
Is there any solution to this annoying problem ?

Did you try to use BsB tweaks and enabled SMS Wake Up?
Your phone will wkae up from stand-by when you receive an SMS,maybe you will hear the sound.
There is a reg key for this matter but i cant find it now.

yeah we have tried but with no success..yeah it's a strange bug ..
I set my phone to ring&vibrate but when i received call, it doesnt stop vibrate right away, it still goes on for like half a second which is annoying because it vibrate when i put my phone against my ear.
I search this forum and some says it has to do with AE button which i dont know what it is and i dont have it installed in my phone. Anyone knows how to solve this, now i just set it to ring only.

Try to switch the ROM , sometimes this is the problem ... i've noticed it with custom ROMs . now i'm with stock and i'm fine !
i got an unmodded 6.5 TMOuS hd2. i did some registry tweaks. and for some reason, while i'm on a call with the phone to my ear, i cant change the volume using the buttons on the side. how can we fix this?
Do both of the volume buttons work outwith the in-call problem, ie playing back music or listening to the FM radio?

hi, fred... it looks like i wasnt pressing the buttons hard enough.. my fault. but is there a way to make these buttons more sensitive to the touch?

Hy all ,
Here's the problem , during a call , if I press the up/down button for increasing/decraesing the volume ... my conversations just stops , well not ending it , just that I can't hear anyting + my phone just blocks itself .. and the only way to unblock it is to get out the battery and start it again . I must mention that the volume work good , but I want it to be louder ( got some issues with my hearing ... ) .
Note : I don't want to use headsets , and I don't want to use sperker mode , I just want to set my volume higher .
I'm using Artemis ROM v 65.0 Gen VI ...
If you need anymore information about my phone please reply ... also it will work if anyone of you can make a reply with a good addon / fix or .cab file .. or I donno .. something
