Changing Notifications in WM6.5 - Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 Themes and Apps

After i upgraded to the WM6.5 (Shipped) Rom i noticed that i can't change the notifications as universal as i was able to do in WM6.1
e.g. I can't turn off SMS notifications completely anymore, the 5Min blink is grayed out,
or I can't turn ON indefinite blink upon email receipt.
Is there a tool available which can configure notifications freely, or is there a simple registry hack necessary to enable changing those settings?
EDIT: I found a workaround by changing the registry setting of
HKCU\ControlPanel\Notifications\{....}\AvailableOptions to FF (255)

use g-profile from ageye

Oh! I like g-profile. Beats phoneweaver by far. Cheers mate.

SMS Text Tone - PhoneAlarm - Disables automatically! HELP

Hi,
I am using the latest O2 ROM with the latest Vodafone ExtROM, which works fine, APART from when I use PhoneAlarm.
The default setting for notifications of SMS messages is no audio alert, no vibration, no LED, just yes to display message. Is there anyway of changing this, I've searched the registry and can't find it.
Before I installed PhoneAlarm, I could change the alert to play "notify.wav" for a text, and it worked fine... After I installed PhoneAlarm, I've gone into the profile settings, and the default for SMS Alert was "<SYSTEM>" which is muted like detailed above. I've changed all the profiles so that it's set to "notify.wav", saved it, but it still mutes the settings like above.
This worked fine on the T-Mobile ROM, is there anyway to fix it? As the T-Mobile ROM is SLOOOOOOOOOOOW.
Cheers guys (and ladies)
-Dave.
Looks like it's nowt to do with the ROM, just downgraded to the T-Mobile one, and up to the iMate one.
Whatever I set the SMS tone to in the profiles section of PhoneAlarm, I then go to the notifications tab in Settings, and the SMS Text Notification is muted. :-/
I have the trial version of PhoneAlarm, but don't think that's owt to do with it; not going to risk paying for the full version if it's gonna do this :-/
Anyone any ides please? :-/
Regards.

I have the registered version of phone alarm and my sounds&notifications in settings are different to what i have set in the phonealarms profile settings screen.
Best thing to do is set your sms sound in phonealarm and save settings. switch to another profile then back to the one you have just changed. and send yourself a text.
It should sound as you have it set in PA rather than the settings you have in settings\sounds&notifications. I dont think you should go into the S&N settings as PA takes over from them the next time you switch profiles. Just make sure you have stated a sound to play rather than using <system>.
Hope this helps.

disable unread e-mail notifier

Anyone know of a way to disable the unread e-mail notifier? The settings under Sound & Notifications don't seem to help. I've seen some registry hacks around SMS notification, but not for email. And I am sick of being told I have 345 unread emails .
Thanks,
d
Has a solution for this ever been found?
It's quite annoying to have to "dismiss" unread emails.
I am definitely looking for a registry hack for this as well. Any info would be appreciated!
I'm even willing to take a registry hack that stops ALL notifications on the home screen. :x:
I know what you mean. With several email accounts setup on the phone, I am constantly getting notifications.
I'm also curious about this too.
I'm tempted to disabling the whole email thing, and just going to gmail.com when I want to check my email. That little notification just won't stop, lol.
The good news is, after looking through many forums - I found a registry tweak on another site for another phone. I changed it in the i760 and it seemed to have resolved the issue. See below:
The only way to turn this off when using Push mail is by setting the following registry value:
HKCU\ControlPanel\Notifications\{A877D65A-239C-47a7-9304-0D347F580408}
set value "Options" to 20000000 (hexadecimal) or 536870912 (decimal)
Note that this disables email notifications completely, so if you want just a sound or a vibe, you'll have to use some other tool (e.g. MortScript) to achieve that. (credits to jvdvyah)
That worked fine on my Mogul.
Any idea how to disable Voicemail notification?
Thanks,

LED notification

Hi guys, I have a quick question, something I'm trying to figure out.
I downloaded the cab on the tweaks thread for the LED notification.
Before that i'd get the LED flashing green when I get a text message.
after installing the cab, no real difference? after missed call, email etc - there is no led flashing...am i missing something here. The LED flashes green when i get a text (but it did that anyway).

did you change it in Start-Settings-Sound And Totifications?
Hello - I've been looking in that menu set, but there's nothing there regarding LED notification :S just notification sounds...
In that control panel, you have to tick the option "Flash light" for each event you want the LED notification for.
It's really weird, because I can not see those options there at all.
Defo have installed that CAB as it is showing in the programs management as "Microsoft LED notification enabler".

p.s. pinch to zoom makes it fairly easy to change settings.

Hi,
I got the Leo and I want to have the led notification without time limit. Now the work only for 10min.
I saw that there is setting in Sound et Notifiaction (your image), but in my phone this option (Flash light for ...) is disable.
How can I activate this option to set the notification time? Thank you
Hi,
try the attached CAB! I cabbed this yesterday to enable the led notification (unlimited blinking) for SMS, email, dismissed calls and schedule notifications. After installing the CAB you can change all setting via the notifications tab. It just enables all settings and sets some reasonable values.
Bye,
Sebastian

Same here. Is it for a Hotmail account ? I wonder if it's the reason because it is not set by default.

Not only, also for gmail and my work email ...
Uuuups, I am sorry. I have forgotten to remove the German strings from the CAB. I have attached a new CAB to this post. This enables the LEDs notification. I haven't tried this for email on the HD2, but on my Touch Diamond 2 the LED notifications for emails didn't work if I triggered a manual send/receive of emails.
Just bumping this up. The LED notification for new email *doesn't work*, and this seems like a pretty serious flaw on such a slick, expensive gizmo.

SMS & E-mail notification issues

Hi all,
I can't seem to change the settings for the notification of SMS and e-mail messages. Both seem to make the device come out of standby, play the notification sound, and show the blinking green light. It's annoying, and I can't seem to be able to change it (even with the TD2 tools).
Any one with the same issues?
Thanks
Have you turned off notifications for SMS in Sound Settings? Also, there's a cab floating around called SMS tools or something that may have this tweak.
or
Use a regsitry editor and go to the key:
HKLM\Drivers\BuiltIn\RIL
Set DisableSMSWakeUpEvent to 1
If the entry does not exist, you will have to create it.

[Q] How to disable sms notification / sms wakeup (screen lights up)?

Hi,
It is so annoying when the screen lights up for receivig a SMS. The Windows logo (where the search and backbuttom are placed) should be able to LED-light in a color when receiving a sms or e-mail and in fact we should be able to choose which color or even blink interval.
I would also like to be able to disable that it shows the message in the top statusbar I only want to show an SMS envelope but again it should be adjustable.
For being able to change settings we need to use the registry and this is the way I installed a registry editor:
Installed Windows Phone developer tools from Microsoft and have unlocked my phone by finding the "ChevronWP7" unlocker tool and send (by e-mail) the "ChevronCert" (a certificate which need to be installed on the phone) to my WP7 HTC Trophy and installed the certificate.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=938106
Downloaded "Tom XAP Installer v1.2.zip" and installed "RegistryEditor 1.1.0.0.xap" where I have tried several registry fixes found on different websites: "modify-sms-notifications-in-windows-phone-7" but nothing worked also found a solution here and the same again nothing i working:
[HK_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\BuiltIn\RIL]
"DisableSMSWakeUpEvent"=dword:1
Could someone help me out I would really appreciate....And I think a lot out there would to
Thanks.
