If you mean by full screen to the weather animations displayed in the hole screen in home tab, you just have to change wallpaper to the default one and then those animations will start to run on your home tab once you go out from any program or app and then back to home.
Hope is what you mean

Asked this in Q&A section, but guess its a bit more relevant to here!
Probs a simple (or stupid ) question, however -
I've just installed the official TP2 update, just wondering how or what triggers the full screen weather effects on the calender/homepage?
I've seen screenshots and vids etc of the full screen effects but haven't actually seen them so far on the today page. Is there specific config or do they just "happen" on their own randomly.
Thanks in advance
betas
I think those are still in beta test phase. THere are a few ROMs here on XDA that have it built in. Look around in the various ROMs and see.
I am using the standard HTC WWE WM6.5 ROM and when I first installed the ROM I noticed the full screen weather animation at the home screen, however I have not seen it since for some reason! I'm not sure why, but it was cool and I want it to come back, not sure how.

Your not the only one. On 1st install, the weather was "foggy" and I got full screen fog. I've never ever seen it since, even though I had other "foggy" days. This is on the stock HTC WWE 6.5 ROM.

Yes, saw the same Could this be a feature of the HTC ROM? Can those using a cooked ROM comment?
dunno if this helps, but I have only seen the weahter animations on the home screen when you have default wallpaper.
As soon as you change to a custom wallpaper the animations stop.

You may be right! I switched back to default HTC wallpaper, put the phone in standby and then when I come out of standby the weather animation appears. Well, if that's true, that kinda sucks that we can't have the animation and the wallpaper of our choice.
The full screen weather animation is only for Leo ROMs which are Manila 2.5/6. The TP2 official update is only to like 2.2 (dunno what it is officially but it's not 2.5/6. Anyhow, you won't get the full screen weather unless you flash a custom ROM (or so I've heard and seen).

comfirmed this works.
Tis a shame, even with a basic non animated wallpaper it doesn't work. However least we know the fix/workaround so there is a choice to be had.
kudos to reaper for the heads up.
I'm using the Max Manilla 2.5 Ultimate 1.1 theme (see picture in sig) and it allows
me to chose my own background and still shows the weather animation
on the home screen. You can even trigger the animation yourself by tapping the top left corner of the screen.
Go here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=551489 to find it.
Read through the first 2 posts to see all the options this theme has.

What version of manila? Have you set your own wallpaper or using the default?
<edit> Is there any way to manually change the windows default wallpaper? Might be a quick hack to get a user specified background to work? </edit>
HTC HD MIRI V 13.0 No weather wallpapaer animation at all but weather demo is their nay suggestions?
I agree.
I have been running the custom Energy rom with Manila 2.1 and if I switch back to the HTC Black today theme then I get the full screen animation.
Thats the only one that has the full screen.

I have the latest Photon with 2.5, and if I set the wallpaper to default, and change the theme to HTC Black, then go to my home screen, tap the windows menu, then it back, it will full animate. Had sunny rays shoot out, and now have partly cloudy clouds drift across.
when i used energy photon 2.1 with hdwall for my tab backgrounds i had no problems. using his leo 2.5 and its there as well. i highly suggest using hd wall because some backgrounds seem to cancel out the weather animations
Task Manager
Whenever I hit the task manager in the top right hand corner while on the home tab, it usually triggers it. Hit it twice. Once to bring it up. Once to make it go away. Boom. Weather.
I have the official TP2 update for wm6.5, the weather animation can be activated on the home screen only with the default wallpaper. Also it can be brought up at will in two ways. hitting the windows start button soft or physical and closing it out by hitting the call end/home button or tapping the x in the top right corner immediately.
Hi peeps,
Have been a Touch Diamond 2 user with a recent Sense flashed ROM from the LEO and previously have been on a SE Xperia.
I'm now making the move into the world of the HD2 and have a question.
Is it possible to change the home-screen wallpaper and still have the nice weather animation?
Kev
As far as i know till now...nope. But i am 100% sure that in the future someone will tweak the HD2, just wait for the custom roms
As far as I knew it was also "nope", but then I saw the slashgear review today:
http://www.slashgear.com/htc-hd2-review-0663062/
The screenshot is self-explaining and in the video you can see that there is a different background but still with weather animations on top of it.

Isn't that one of the built-in wallpapers though? I was under the impression that if you set it to anything else you'd lose the weather. That's certainly the way it appears to work with the Leo ROMs I've been running on my X1.
Using manila v 2.5.1920 (which comes in stock LEO rom) it allows you to select any static wallpaper you wish and it will apply the weather animations over the top.
You just select weather wallpaper, it then loads your album to let you select the wallpaper picture you desire.
This works fine on my own cooked blackstone ROM using packages from LEO shipped

Thanks for the simple explanation! I needed to do this for the cooked SSS rom r2 which is derived from LEO.
i was wondering if there was any way to disable the animation of the weather on the home screen background in sense 2.1? It seems to slow down scrolling in 2.1 and 2.5. to me atleast
Just choose another background image in the Settings tab...
Nope

That doesn't seem to do the trick. I can only choose anothe background for the weather animation... or a "moving background".
It just needs to go....
Thx !
I'm too! Not changed.
hey
just touch the clock and remove in bottom right easy [#]
I have searched and looked and....how do you get the battery icon on UI sense home screen for T-mo HD2? ...Tj
Can you be a little more specific?! Do you mean the Taskbar on top? Or like how you can have it if you have SPB Installed?!
The stock T-Mo ROM battery icon on the home screen while using "sense" I can get it while the screen is locked but its not there any other time on my HD2 from T-mo...Tj
PS I do not have SPB installed. Yes the taskbar on top...Thx

Hey Trekker. Are you running any theme currently, or have you run custom taskbar icons in the past?

I have a TP2, with Manila 2.1 and WM6.5. How do I get rid of the @#$%^&* flippy clock without installing Manila 2.5?

Thanks, but this doesn't seem to allow replacement of the flippy clock, it just makes it better behaved. Unless I'm reading the intro message wrong.
"Flick" up anywhere on your home screen and the clock will change to a smaller, non "@#$%^&* flippy" one. It isn't the best looking, but it might be what you are looking for.

Thanks, I know about that one. Ideally, I'd like to find something like the old HTC Home Customizer, which would offer a selection of clock fonts and styles.

Have you seen Cookie's Home Tab - you can choose an analogue clock or keep flip clock but disable the animation and/or have a smaller flip clock.

Did you not read his first post? He said he doesn't want to install Sense 2.5.
The steps previously posted work to stopping the flipping clock in 2.1, I tried it and no more flipping animation .

Which steps? Did you just stop the flipping, or actually change the style?
The link in post #3. Just install the cab and it stops the flipping (believe only in portrait but I really only press the home button when in portrait anyway) and it does not mess with your current clock style .

Looks like this tool doesn't really change the clocks, and a number of people who tried it had serious problems and couldn't uninstall it. I think I'll pass.
