Mirror Screen Driver/Software - Windows Mobile Development and Hacking General

As I drove home in the dark with the satnav on I caught the reflection of it in the screen and thought, This would be cool If I could leave the phone on the dash and I could set the display to Mirror making the reflection readable on the windscreen Kind of like a Heads up display.
Is this possible with windows mobile? can anyone code a screen mirror application that works like the screen rotation apps that work with the internal gyro sensor?
I have noted that the idea has been kicjked around but nothing solid has come of it.

Thanks
I'm actually looking for an app that mirrors the display so if you held a mirror next to the screen you would be able to read it ok from the mirror..

I saw a picture of an HTC WinMo phone that was broken and was showing the screen mirrored once, which would indicate that the hardware can support this functionality.
Is it possible that the configuration for the display driver would have a registry option for something like this? I know that some webcam drivers in Windows have hidden registry entries for this (I've had to track them down in the past due to cameras mounted in strange ways and people wanting mirrored images instead of photograph style).

Forcing the subdisplay? (Display when the keyboard cover closes over the screen)

Is there any way to force the subdisplay to activate? When my keyboard cover closes over the display, it is rather finicky in getting to switch over.
Additionally, I would rather not take the keyboard with me and it would be great to listen to music and see the subdisplay instead of the entire screen being lit up.
There must be a simple way to enable or toggle this. Is there a developer out there willing to make this mod happen? Part of the Development project perhaps?
Thanks

when sub display is on the whole screen is lit so kinda pointless better to develop a screensaver of some type that wont drain battery but shows relevent info maybe a custamizable one???

I don't know if this helps or not; with mine, when I place the keyboard at the back of the unit with the keys facing outwards (as I do most times) it does start up the subdisplay as well (even with the screen open and programs running).
spzero is right.
You can try that with VGA out cable and enable sub display with your keyboard. You can see whole screen is lit and the only difference is the bottom portion of screen changes to a status bar (sub display).
Neat trick!
Still it would be cool if there was a way to force the subdisplay with the rest of the screen black. Even with black color in a lighted screen, it would save energy, like this site:
http://www.blackle.com/
http://www.blackle.com/about/
(low energy version of google due to black screen!)
kww
Making the screen black doen't mean that it consume less energy... mostly because the LEDs used to light the screen are always on (the screen on the Athena is not transflective like most PPC. It means it need a minimum of emitting light to be viewable)

No rotate to the right?

I'm left handed and when I want to turn it landscape I turn the phone to the right but it doesnt rotate to the right It does rotates to the left..
Is something wrong with my phone or does this happen to everyone else
Think it only works one way. I'm left handed too and haven't noticed any particular need to turn it to the right.. I'm used to phones behaving that way I guess.
If you're lounging in a chair holding the phone at an angle you'll be glad that it doesn't suddenly rotate on you when you least expect it..
Yeah, i'm a southpaw. I would love if it rotated to the right and left.
anyone know if Open Home or any of the other home replacement apps supports rotate in all directions?
The Android OS doesn't support a rotate to the right, no home screen can change this.
Individual apps can support it (see bebbled) if they program for it, but it's a hack.

Motorola has it enabled by default on the CLIQ, not sure about droid.
It's very possible and should be part of the core.
Was playing with my friend's iPhone last night - it does it.
I too am a southpaw, would be nice. But I don't find it annoying or anything.

[Q] Touch input so bad with vaio duo 11

The touch input in this device is so bad i have to use my stylus pen to browse webs(i can never touch the back page button on google chrome instead it touches the forward page button instead),close programs(touch the top of the screen and pulling it down never works), opening the charm bar(swiping my finger from the right of the screen to the left never works too).
I tried calibrating it by searching calibrate on the charm bar's search feature but they doesn't work as well.
Any way to fix this? Its getting so annoying because i can't use the touch screen feature at all because its not precise.

Make sure your navigation gestures start from the black bezel of the Vaio then onto the touchscreen. You can use the calibration tool, change pen and touch settings, and change double clicking of objects to single tap to make the experience better. I'm not sure if the registry change to make touch more responsive for surface rt applies to your Intel tablet.
I'm with @vinscuzzy on this one... generally speaking I detest Sony products, but this sounds like a defective unit more than anything else. I'm not sure what you mean by "calibration doesn't work as well" (grammar, people: it conveys meaning). but if you can't fix this yourself, I would definitely suggest you take it back to wherever you got it.
When i use the calibration settings whenever i try to touch the cross it shows the input to be slightly on the right. i can't even close apps or use the multitasking. Closing tabs is hard or even clicking on links on google isn't accurate at all.
I bought this machine overseas and it isn't even out in my country so replacing it is too much of a hassle.
I almost considered it. But found there is a problem with the drivers, especially with Photoshop supposedly MS and Sony are using a specific driver but its not compatible with certain apps that use a different format of driver like Photoshop for touch.
The driver developers as far as I'm aware via googling don't seem interested in fixing this issue due to cost and/or it being niche market. Maybe try other software, I hope you don't have faulty system

[CLOSED] Completely disabling Nexus 10 touchscreen

I'm setting up a tradeshow display for my company, we're using 3 Nexus 10s in a bent 36"x36" panel. They'll just be looping video, though interactivity may be added to one of them later on. Before I got the Nexus 10s I tested some apps on my Note II that disable the touchscreen because I wanted to prevent anyone from interfering with the looping video.
Unfortunately, I've come to find that while those apps will disable interacting with the main content, it doesn't prevent the Home/Back/etc buttons from working on the bottom bar on the Nexus 10. Additionally, it seems to prevent the video from going completely full screen, leaving the Home/Back/etc icon bar up.
Does anyone have any ideas on how I might truly disable the touchscreen once I have video going? Even if it meant requiring a full reboot to restore touch, that would be fine with me, for the most part we'd just set it and forget it. Some way to just crash or disable the touch screen driver? I'm not rooted right now, but I can be if that's what it takes.
Otherwise we'll end up going with clear acrylic overlays with magnets in them for quick access to the screen, that approach is just generally uglier though, and I'd love to avoid it.
Thanks for any suggestions.
what about this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2266402
then use your existing disable touch program from there?

Perfect, this is exactly what I was looking for. I ended up using a similar app called full!screen that allowed me to specify two touch areas but then make the icons for those tiny/transparent. BSPlayer has a lock so that casual interaction with the device won't do much. From there I can probably fully lock the touchscreen and have it only unlock with a triple tape or messing with a hardware button (only the operator will have access to the buttons, it's mounted inside an enclosure).
You're a hero, chaos. Many thanks to you.

[Q] Any mod known which can rotate 180?

I have got to the end of the road in terms of searches for existing apps for this. I'd like to flip or rotate the screen on my Nook Simple Touch so that it is still in portrait, but upside down.
Does anyone know if this is possible? I have tried countless options which force landscape etc but I just need everything upside down - a full 180 degrees.
Any ideas?
Android 2.1 does not support all 4 rotations.
That appeared in Android 2.3
On the application level you should be able to implement that by setRotation on your main ViewGroup.
You will have to handle screen touch coordinates separately.

Ah, I was hoping to get it working for the whole system in order to work around the fact I have a scratch on the bottom right corner which keeps digging into my palm uncomfortably!
Thanks for the quick response. I'll try sandpaper!
I find that a little mount helps.
I use a monopod mostly.
I use it even when handheld so that I don't have to grip the sides.
The monopod just goes between a few fingers on the back with your thumb to turn pages.
