i m using old gene with original rom. and a subscriber of IDEA telecom UPe circle. i got two msg that ur imei no is not valid.ur all services will be banned after 30 nov.
what should i do ?? i have to contact htc or my service provider???
and anybody can tell me how to change imei ????
i think u guys from india (sumit,krazy etc) can understand better because u know about banning the not valid imei issue in india!

I think you have to contanct your service provider. Only them can block your imei.
Contact your service provider [Customer Care]........

Contact your service provider [Customer Care]..Becouse they have sent you that msg and tell him that you are using a valid IMEI no starting with 35xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.... i think that problem will be solved shortly...
i talked to customer care but they said u should ask htc for valid imei.
my phone is out of warranty now what should i do????
my imei starts with 35 xxxxxxxx....
the last day in this matter is 30 nov after that my all call will be banned.

i already visited my nearest gii partner but the said
they don't know how to change imei of a ppc.
the system (spider box and other machines ) they have only for Chinese and normal type handsets.
they can't change the imei of a ppc.
tell guys any hacks or tricks .....otherwise .....my phone will be a paperweight
have u also checked the genuineness of ur gene by sending an sms to 53232 in following format???
IMEI 35xxxxxxxxxxxxx
my phone si working fine afte nov 30 so no problem !!

Describe the issue or no-one will help. Is your unit g3/g4? Have you tried unlocking it and destroyed the security area? We can't help if you don't ask properly...

the IMEI now is 00440000...... etc... and i would restore the original..
How can I fix?

My guess is that you're facing the "Data Crashes..." problem!
Meaning that whenever you insert your SIM card the phone shows that message and it stops working.
So 0044 looks like the radio lost the GSM settings and now is blank. In
that area are the gsm tuning parameters too.
Options:
1.Have a look here and try to get it back in life.
or
2.Send the device first to repair and then unlock it and enjoy.

Imei comes built-in free with phone, no need to pay for this.
Yes ı know. But our country is sh.t. we pay 70-80 dollar's imei active. I need change my imei. anyone know anything ?
Problem with that is that you could also be a thief who is trying to change the IMEI of his stolen phone.. There are tools for everything, but I'm not sure that an IMEI Changer is allowed on XDA, since I see tons of potential ways for it to be used in illegal ways..

I just bought a LG G2 and when i checked the IMEI it said phone manufacturer SIERRA WIReLESS , So I contacted LG and they told me that the IMEI gives no info and isn't in their database !
I cant do any software update it says phone not registered Yet !
What should I do pls !!?
what happened to the phone to have a fake IMEI and is there a way to fix it ?

Only way is to send it in to LG. People change IMEI when the phone has been black listed due to being stolen. I would return the phone to where you bought it.

I am sorry if i have opened the thread in the wrong place. I am having a serious problem with my S8+ and im starting feel like it became a trash anymore. So i bought this phone in France as i live here. I went to Turkey for my work for 6 months and i had to change the imei number in illegal way to use my phone there. They rooted my phone and somehow put a new imei into it in order to have connection. After i am back to France i tried to flash a stock rom and it was successful but i relized soon after that i have no network and whenever i try to get some it keeps giving me an error " Error while searching for network " . I check my imei number with *#06# and i have an imei number but it is different than my original imei number which is written in the box. Did i lose my Imei or what? I check EFS file, it is there. No one in France is able to fix it and since i have a crack on the screen , it voids the warranty , so no Samsung option , as well . I would deeply appreciate if someone could help me with this problem.

Not gonna find much help on here mate. Not with the imei being changed. We're don't really discuss things like that in xda. But I can tell you. They didn't change the imei with root. It's cert based. Which means they totally rewrote it and new cert for the device.

is your IMEI missing as well? i replied to your other post, and i firmly believe that if you flash the correct FW from here https://www.sammobile.com/samsung/galaxy-s8/firmware/sm-g950f/SAM/#SM-G950F youll be fine
