opera 9.7 for tilt 2 (TP2) - Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 Themes and Apps

can someone link me to the most current and most stable build of opera 9.7 with working turbo because many of the ones ive tried e.g 35443 lock up my phone

Have you checked opera's site? I am sure the one they have posted is the most stable..
Otherwise, a simple search on xda will yield an entire thread of just opera 9.7 and it's many versions
good luck

try opera mini, works well for me. free and very easy to use. finger movement and zoom also can take over pie for downloads
Picsel Browser
hey wuub:
My picsel browser just seems slow all of the time. I've had a lot better luck with PIE on speed.
I used picsel for a while, until i found opera mini 4. It is much faster than picsel. It keeps your page in the desktop-like layout, but also formats the text so that it is readable (without having to pan around) when zommed in.
opera mini 4 is my suggestion, with esmertec jbed as your midlet manager
Hey Sturatt:
thnx for the info. Does Opera mini work well on the ppc's? I was looking at Opera's website & it looked like Opera Mobile was more for wm6 (but costs money) & Opera mini was more for the smartphones (and was free). PIE just doesn't do well for me but picsel really seems slow compared to PIE.
i have a mogul (ppc6800) and opera mini works great.
just install jbed, then go to www.operamini.com on your phone's IE, navigate to the opera mini 4 page and download (by default it goes to opera mini 3, you have to select a link to get to opera mini 4).

Yes, Picsel IS slow - and has tons of other problems (low Web standards compliance, for example). I don't really recommend it. Opera Mini 4 is far better - in my opinion, of course.

Opera 9.5 faster than 9.7...

What are peoples experience when using opera mobile 9.5 compared to 9.7?
I started to use 9.7 straight away, but it was buggy and would hang for serious amounts of time compared to my m8's HD with 6.5.
Is it because its built into the rom (I dont understand this because the exe is just in the windows folder..)
i agree with you, i was using 9.7 on m y WM6.1 device and my WM6.5 device was running 9.5 version, 9.5 is faster. however in WM6.5 i can get 5 tabs but in WM6.1 only 2?

I used 9.7Beta for a while- agree more tabs (two is one less than opera on the touch 0pro curiously) but i found the 9.7b would close and then not reopen (ie it didnt fully close i guess) so it had to go. speed was about the same.

To get more tabs, open Opera, put opera:config in the address, go to User Prefs and change Maximum Allowed Tabs.
I gave up on 9.7 long time ago. 9.5 is better as this is built-in, the zoom bar works, the auto rotation works. The turbo mode for 9.7 is faster, but it stopped working after a while and I can only use it with the standard mode. That's the point where I got rid of it.
However the new opera mini 5 is very nice and especially fast when on EDGE (my house resides in the EDGE coverage when 3G is only half a mile away, duh. Complained to T-mo but they're "working" on it).

Opera Mobile 9.7 beta

I installed the 9.7 beta this afternoon.
Installation no problem but when I want to use it I can only use the trackball and my qwerty keyboard.
The function key's on top don't seem to be working.
Anyone experience with this problem?
Or maybe a different version of Opera Mobile that does work?
Tnx
The best browser for this or any other phone is the Skyfire.Look for it.
It's the only one that has flash installed in it and you can view anything requiring flash.
It has a Smart phone edition, which is what you actually need, so don't bother with Opera.
Trust me, I have searched for all of them. You won't be dissapointed

All Opera Mobile versions: Official thread
On my experience Opera Mobile is the best browser, if you feel it´s too heavy you can use Opera Mini

opera 9.7 and flashlite?

Hi guys,
I have tried fixoperaflash:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=544770
lots of times without success. I can install it but it makes Opera very unstable. Now that disabling reflow for 9.7 is found (proper pinch to zoom at last), I really would like to have flash support as good as Opera 10 and make 9.7 the only browser. Any one succeded stable flashlite for 9.7? Thanks
i installed fixoperaflash last night and so far i've not noticed any stability problems although in my testing i have noted that it is not as compatible with flash sites as opera 10. maybe the question should be how do we make opera 10 support pinch zoom and show the full versions of websites?
just a tought
